Josh Friedes, with Equal Rights Washington said, "What we have witnessed is progress," when he heard that HB 1649 had passed the Washington State Legislature and was on the Governor's desk for signature.

She will sign---and celebrate.

This legislation will recognize homosexual "marriages" from other states.

Although it has been characterized as a "technical" bill, it is seen as significant progress for the homosexual agenda whose glee is mirrored by the Seattle Times editorial board.

The Times editorial board said, "Legalization of gay marriage is the right and proper direction for the state. In the meantime."

The Seattle Times newspaper, which I have been told repeatedly by journalists who work there, is not influenced by the editorial board, put it this way:

"Gay marriage remains illegal in Washington state. But under this bill, same-sex marriages and domestic partnerships performed and recognized elsewhere would have eligible rights granted to domestic partnerships in Washington. In the past half decade, lawmakers here have approved hundreds of rights and responsibilities for domestic partnerships, putting them on almost equal footing with marriage." (Link).

Laurel Ramseyer, a.k.a. in Seattle as Lurleen who works for Equal Rights Washington, writing for a national homosexual blog, quotes Josh Friedes, "This is a wonderful development in Washington. Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) Washingtonians and their allies have lobbied hard for this bill all year."

Ramseyer also praised Rep. Laurie Jinkins (D-Tacoma), "The first openly lesbian legislator in the Washington state Legislature for sponsoring the bill."

And finally, she thanks and praises the Republican Senators who voted for the bill, saying her take away message was this:

"Never presume to know a Republican will vote on pro-LGBT legislation, no matter their history with other bills."

Friedes says the bill was "a wonderful development" and "progress".

While they officially call it a "technical fix," and some of us believe it, they celebrate the final steps to redefining marriage and family.

If you have ever had an inclination to support the position of Faith and Freedom and thousands of other conservatives and people of faith, this would be the time.

We will be announcing an educational campaign within the next few weeks.

Thank you for standing with us.

Be Informed. Be Vigilant. Be Discerning. Be Prayerful. Be Blessed.
