The Other "Christian" Message

Print Friendly Version of this pagePrint Get a PDF version of this webpagePDF
Hours after the posting of a pro-Israel slogan in New York City, opponents got out their spray cans to deface the message.

And in the same hour, Jim Wallis, a religious adviser to President Obama, launched a fund raiser for his "So-Journers" organization to begin a campaign to counter the pro-Israel message.

Here's the pro-Israel message:

"In any war between the Civilized Man and the Savage, support the Civilized Man. Support Israel. Defeat Jihad."

So, who has the most freedom of speech? Those with the pro-Israel message or those who deface it with spray cans?

And a false, hypocritical and unbiblical message is being advanced in support of those who oppose Israel, under the guise of "social justice." And "peace."

Biblical Christians should be informed.

US Rebuilding Mosques, While Christian Churches Are Burned

Print Friendly Version of this pagePrint Get a PDF version of this webpagePDF
Another tragic irony of the Obama administration is that while he advances what he calls his "cultural preservation" project---with American tax dollars, to rebuild and refurbish Mosques around the world, Muslims in at least 20 countries are burning Christian churches to the ground.

This was first reported by CH 2 in Atlanta last year.

Why is President Obama spending millions on mosques? He says it is to "fight Islamic extremism by building relationships with Islamic leaders."

That does not appear to be working out too well.

The exact amount Mr. Obama is spending on the mosque project is elusive. Hard to find.

Here's how he is hiding it.

Plan B Now Available To 14 Year-Olds---At School

Print Friendly Version of this pagePrint Get a PDF version of this webpagePDF
Your government run middle school will assist you in eliminating an unwanted baby, but will not allow you to drink a 20 oz. soda.

Rome is burning.

In New York City, parents must sign for children to receive an Advil at school or for their under age child to get a piercing or tattoo, but not for their underage daughter to be given a Plan B pill--- a pill that some consider to be an abortion pill.

This is what The New York Times had to say about it this week, after the Post had broken the story.

Is this a cultural snapshot of the progressive path being blazed by the tyranny we call public education?

I believe it is.

The media is generally reporting this week that there is "little resistance" to the program from parents.

Here's why the parents have been silent.

And there is a stern warning from the ancient prophets regarding allowing our children to be taken by those who oppose Judeo-Christian beliefs.

Is Jesus "Normal, Sexual And Married?"

Print Friendly Version of this pagePrint Get a PDF version of this webpagePDF
Last week the New York Times, the television networks and the lessor lights who feed off their stories published or reported the following with a picture:

"A previously unknown scrap of ancient papyrus written in ancient Egyptian Coptic is pictured in this undated handout photo obtained by Reuters September 18, 2012. The papyrus has four words written in Coptic that provide the first unequivocal evidence that within 150 years of his death, some followers of Jesus, believed him to have been married."

The surprise is that this wasn't released the week before Easter or Christmas, however, there is little surprise that the media has miraculously leaped to their feet to proclaim this new "truth"---the "gospel of Jesus' wife."

Some say this actually authenticates Dan Brown's DaVinci Code. The secular progressives knew it was true all along.

But wait. Is the press getting ahead of the facts?

What does the professor who introduced this previously unknown scrap of ancient papyrus have to say about it?

And did you know the Harvard Theological Review, that had scheduled this new find to be published in January, 2013, is now saying they may not publish it?

Over 1000 Pastors Will Defy The IRS

Print Friendly Version of this pagePrint Get a PDF version of this webpagePDF
On Sunday, October 7, over 1000 pastors will defy IRS regulations and preach on what the Bible says on moral and social issues and where the candidates stand on those issues.

They are challenging the 1954 "Johnson Amendment" which states that tax-exempt organizations cannot "participate in, or in opposition to ---any candidate for public office."

Lyndon B. Johnson was running for re-election to the senate at the time he got this amendment to the tax code passed.

While it was probably not directed specifically at churches per se, rather at 2 businessmen who were running against him who headed up non-profit organizations, it has had a devastating effect on the culture and the church.

And it is not Constitutional, in the opinion of many.

Classroom Assault: Rosary Seized--Brokeback Mountain Taught

Print Friendly Version of this pagePrint Get a PDF version of this webpagePDF
Manuel Vigil, a devout Catholic and high school senior, has had his rosary seized by the administration of his high school.

The school administration says he can't wear it because it might appear to be a gang symbol.

KDVR FOX 31 in Denver reported that "his school district thinks the religious necklace will harm students."

A spokesman for the school district says, "That's typically not what we want in a safe environment for school."

Safe environment? Safe for whom? If you have kids in school, please take a moment and read the story.

As The World Burns...President Obama : "I Am Proud Of My Accomplishments"

Print Friendly Version of this pagePrint Get a PDF version of this webpagePDF

President Obama has said that elevating the image of the United States around the world was one of his proudest foreign policy accomplishments.

In February, Obama said, “One of the proudest things of my three years in office is helping to restore a sense of respect for America around the world, a belief that we are not just defined by the size of our military.”

Three years ago in Cairo, the President stressed his leadership would be dramatically different than former President George W. Bush’s: “I have come here to seek a new beginning between the United States and Muslims around the world; one based upon mutual interest and mutual respect; and one based upon the truth that America and Islam are not exclusive, and need not be in competition.”

Hollywood Embracing Incest And Parroting Moral Argument For Same-Sex "Marriage"

Print Friendly Version of this pagePrint Get a PDF version of this webpagePDF

Writer director, Nick Cassavetes, released his new film this week titled, "Yellow."

The storyline is about a woman having an affair with her brother.

But Cassavetes says it's not about incest. It's about not judging other people---it's about doing what you want. It's about freedom.

This is not the first time Hollywood has gone swimming in the slime of perversion and it won't be the last---remember, "The Graduate" with Dustin Hoffman, Nicole Kidman in "Birth", Roman Polanski, Jason Biggs of "American Pie", Woody Allen and his step daughter, etc.?

Each has had their own version of perversion.

Cassavettes' film is not an isolated fringe film. The Entertainment industry has been at this for a long time. This is the point of their progressive cultural spear.

I would not even mention this film, except, that publicly, Cassavettes and Hollywood are making a moral argument in support of the film. And it's the same argument Sen. Ed Murray, Rep. Jamie Pederson, Gov. Gregoire and a host of other characters are making in Washington State, and elsewhere, for so-called same-sex "marriage."

Here's the moral rational for incest and same-sex "marriage."

Komen VP Exposes Planned Parenthood

Former Komen Vice-President, Karen Handel, has released a new book this week which reveals what was happening behind the scenes earlier this year when KOMEN decided to cut funding grants to Planned Parenthood---and Sen. Patty Murray, Nancy Pelosi and other high profile politicians and celebrities went on the attack, ultimately causing KOMEN to capitulate, reverse their decision and continue writing checks to Planned Parenthood.

The name of the book?

"Planned Bullyhood."

"Education Justice": A New Progressive Truth

Print Friendly Version of this pagePrint Get a PDF version of this webpagePDF
New "truth" continues to be created on the streets of Chicago as classrooms are emptied, with 26,000 teachers on the street; striking, shouting, marching and declaring their actions to be "Educational Justice."

400,000 students have been disgorged into the streets in this demonstration of "justice." And parents inconvenienced, to say the least.

"Justice" for what? The kids?

Well, not exactly.

Maybe indirectly.

There is also an inescapable irony in this story. The man who championed President Obama's far left secular progressive assault on conservatism has become the target of the secular far left progressive's wrath.

And it's not surprising that a Gallup Poll, taken within the past few weeks, found that Americans are giving public education a failing grade.

Cursing The Cardinal

Print Friendly Version of this pagePrint Get a PDF version of this webpagePDF

Catholic Cardinal Timothy Dolan was not trying to "relate" to the majority who had audibly voted against having God in their platform when he gave the benediction for the Democratic National Convention.

He was not trying to "reach" them or relate to them with his prayer, he was talking to God from his heart.

Perhaps there is a lesson to be learned by others, including evangelicals, who would pray at public events:

Speak the truth, forget political correctness. Or trying to "reach the culture" by being synonymous with the culture.

Dolan, who had also given the benediction for the GOP Convention, asked God to bless President Obama, V.P. Biden, Congress, the Supreme Court and candidates Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan and to, "Make them all worthy to serve you by serving this country."

But it was his petition to God for the unborn that created a national angst among secularists: "Grant us the courage to defend it, life, without which no other rights are secure. We ask your benediction on those waiting to be born, that they may be welcomed and protected."

NBC's "The New Normal: Trying To Redefine The Culture

NBC's "The New Normal" was scheduled to debut tomorrow night, but has been moved up to tonight.

Don't watch it. Here's why.

This show is one more attempt by the entertainment industry to redefine the culture and redefine that which is natural and normal. When called out on their blatant attempt, they have said what they always say, "We are not tying to redefine the culture, we are 'reflecting' the culture."

I have reviewed the pilot.

Here's the essence of it:

Finally, A National Consensus

Print Friendly Version of this pagePrint Get a PDF version of this webpagePDF

Much has been said about how divided and polarized America has become.

Politicians promise us they want to work with each other, but in the end they don't.

However after 2 weeks of political convention, this election, for the first time in a long time, is bringing us together---a national consensus, of sorts.

Dem. Congressman Stupak: "I'm Perplexed and Disappointed..."

Print Friendly Version of this pagePrint Get a PDF version of this webpagePDF
Remember Congressman, now former, Bart Stupak?

Let me remind you. He is the Democrat who held up the vote on Obamacare from passing Congress. He was the final swing vote.

Stupak, a pro-life Democrat, first said he could not support President Obama's healthcare scheme because it funded abortions. And he and several of his colleagues refused to vote for it.

Enter the President.

After meeting with the President, Stupak told the country he could "now vote for it" because he had "negotiated" a deal with President Obama.

The President issued an Executive Order, that he said would not, repeat, would not allow abortions to be funded through his Obamacare.

Many warned Stupak, but he believed the President.

Well...

Dem. Convention: Celebration Of Abortion And Homosexual "Marriage"

Print Friendly Version of this pagePrint Get a PDF version of this webpagePDF

The Associated Press, quoting "Democrats" says, "This election is not simply a choice between two candidates or two political parties, but between two fundamentally different paths for our country and our families."

Indeed it is.

The Democratic Party platform stands in stark contrast to that of the Republican Party, and in direct conflict to the beliefs of many conservatives and most all biblical Christians. And to the beliefs of our Founding Fathers.

The Democratic platform is a celebration of abortion and homosexual "marriage." And socialism, with government as the source.

The Democratic platform, for the first time has removed the word "God," although they mentioned "God" seven times in 2008. They also removed the affirmation that Jerusalem is the capitol of Israel.

It became clear last night that their plan is not "Forward." It is downward. Downward morally. Downward fiscally. Downward socially.

Two Different Paths. Two Different Worlds. Two Different Destinies.

School Daze--A Moral Haze In Gig Harbor

Print Friendly Version of this pagePrint Get a PDF version of this webpagePDF

Zero tolerance must be a relative term--at least in Gig Harbor, Washington public schools.

As parents send their kids back to public school this week, a troubling story is emerging from a Gig Harbor middle school.

The teacher led bullying episode happened in a classroom last February, but is only now becoming public as a result of a video taken by a student and the persistent actions of a lawyer working on behalf of the parents.

The teacher, John Rosi, has had problems before, but this time he and other students are caught on video bullying--- pushing, dragging across the classroom, swinging by his arms and legs and putting a sock in the mouth of Karla Kinney's 13-year-old son.

The school district's response?

Pathetic.

First, they suspended the teacher for 10 days. They have now sent him to another school in the district.

The Gig Harbor school is in a daze---and a moral haze.

Would they have taken such anemic action had this 13-year-old claimed to be "gay" or "transgender" or "bi-sexual" or "questioning" or whatever?

The answer isn't "maybe."

Here are a few details and links with the video in a couple of the news stories.
