Al Gore: A Tale Of 2 "Als"

Former Vice President Al Gore, eco-warrior and enemy of fossil fuels, has sold his failing far left "Current TV" cable channel for $100,000,000. The New York Times reported the selling price at $500,000,000.

The buyer, Al Jazeera TV, is a state funded anti-American, anti-Israel, pro-Islamic television network based out of Qatar, which is one of the biggest of the big oil exporting countries in the world.

Al Jazeera TV is the network that provided a worldwide platform for Al Qaeda to "explain" why they had carried out the 9-11 attacks on our Pentagon and the World Trade Centers.

More recently they have aired a documentary which was sympathetic to Osama Bin Laden.

Al Jazeera is not friendly toward America and Israel. And they are funded by the oil revenues of Qatar.

Yes, I believe in free market capitalism.

Memo to Al: You have traveled the world telling us all that we must think and act "Green" or the Earth will overheat, the oceans will rise and life will end as we know it. Too many of our kids in state funded high schools and colleges have believed you. They have altered their lives to be more "Green." And are trying to alter other people's lives as well in trying to save the planet.

How can he spread the gospel of green, then cut a hundred million dollar deal (possibly $500,000,000) with one of the biggest fossil fuel exporters in the world?

How many trees will he need to plant to cover that indulgence?

The inconvenient truth seems to be that there are 2 Als and 2 Greens.

Al, the "environmentalist" advocates spending billions of other people's money to "Green" up the planet, investing in Solyndra type companies while refusing to support drilling by fossil fuel companies and enterprises.

Al, the opportunist appears to believe that "Green" has to do with the color of money in his wallet. Forget about carbon and all that stuff.

However, the most alarming part of this "Green" deal, at least to me, is the philosophical part of it. And the patriotic part.

You may be surprised to learn to whom Al Gore refused to sell his channel.

You probably won't be surprised to hear what Al Jazeera plans to do with the channel.

Last year, Glenn Beck offered to buy Gore's cable channel. Gore refused to sell it to him.

Here's why. Because, "The legacy of who the network goes to is important to us and we are sensitive to networks not aligned with our point of view."

Wow! So Gore is philosophically aligned with Al Jazeera?

I don't recall Vice President Gore ever saying he was loyal to America, but I just assumed he was. He was Vice President for 8 years. Aren't vice presidents usually patriot?

And what does Al Jazeera plan to do with Gore's network?

While Al Gore's far left programing only had about 20,000 people watching, the channel is available to 60,000,000 American homes. Al Jazeera has been trying to get a foothold in American entertainment and broadcasting for a number of years, however most carriers such as Direct TV, DISH and others have been very hesitant to cut a deal with them.

They will now have opportunity to program directly into 60,000,000 American homes, some of the most anti-American, anti-Israel and pro-Islamic programing in the world.

He protected us from Glenn Beck's opinions, while selling his network to a pro-terrorism propaganda network so they can make inroads into American homes.

And as Bob Dutko wrote, "He got his 30 pieces of silver."

God help us.
