Harvard To Military: "Let Transgenders Serve With Honor And Dignity"

Those who have made reference to a "slippery slope" regarding so-called "homosexual rights" have been generally mocked and ridiculed to silence.

On September 28, 2011, the Washington Times said this: "With homosexuals now able to serve openly in the military, the gay rights movement's next battleground is to persuade the Obama administration to end the armed forces' ban on 'transgenders', a group that includes transsexuals and cross-dressers."

They were right.

Slippery slope.

Harvard Kennedy School of Government will be releasing a new study this week that recommends "additional changes to the military policies in order to allow transgender people to serve openly and with honor."

Why are they, in an increasing way, using our military as a social experiment lab when so much hangs in the balance? Like the security of our country and all who live here.

This recommendation, coming from Harvard where Barack Obama has roots, will likely be taken seriously. And given the President's proclivity to advance the homosexual agenda at any social cost to our country and the Christian beliefs so many of us hold, many feel he will act on it under the guise of fairness and "equality."

The stage has been set.

The homosexual agenda is anything but fair or equal.

Many also feel this will further erode the effectiveness of our military and our national security. Many are recalling the most recent episode with Army Pfc Bradly Manning and what he said at his recent trial.

The secular progressives are acting like this is merely a ride at the county fair---exclaiming "weeeeeee" all the way down the slippery slope.

As perversion is affirmed and enshrined into American law, the very foundations of our freedom and existence are being destroyed.

How did we get to this place and what can we do?

Presently, military policy states that individuals with certain "psychosexual conditions" including "transgenderism, exhibitionism, transvestitism, voyeurism, and other paraphilias' are banned from service and can be dishonorably discharged if their sexual proclivities are discovered."

Harvard will be sharing "findings" that show it won't affect our military's readiness.

But commonsense says otherwise. So does the recent episode with Bradley Manning.

Remember Army Pfc Bradley Manning?

He was recently convicted of espionage for leaking thousands of classified documents to wikileaks---doing significant harm to the security of the United States and to his peers serving in our military.

He now faces up to 90 years in prison.

Bradley Manning is a homosexual and claims to be "transgender."

He had previously sent a picture of himself wearing a wig and makeup, dressed like a woman, to his superior. He titled the picture, "my problem."

Manning again referred to his gender issues when apologizing for his conduct on the last day of his sentencing hearing. “I’m sorry I hurt people. I’m sorry I hurt the United States. At the time of the decision, as you know, I was dealing with a lot of issues, issues that are ongoing,” he said. “Although a considerable difficulty in my life, these issues are not an excuse for my actions.”

The slippery slope from the military's acceptance of openly gay service members to standing down when it comes to cross-dressers is, as predicted, well under way.

Manning definitely has a problem, but it isn't just his problem. Because of his position and the trust the American people and his colleagues who serve along side him/her put in those who serve our country, it is our problem as well.

The Harvard study is just the beginning. Palm Center's Transgender Military Initiative announced last month they are commissioning 11 similar studies. They will be spending $1.35 million on the project.

The goal?

To provide "facts" and "evidence" that the US Armed Forces "could include transgender troops without undermining readiness."

They are commissioning recognized institutions to provide "facts" and "evidence" to support their pre-determined outcome.

The military already has a "Transgender Problem." The "Mother Jones" web site reported that new studies suggest "that transgender civilians are twice as likely to enlist, and transgender veterans are 20 times as likely to commit suicide."

This battle seems to exist equally in public education and the military.

Clearly education is a fertile ground for indoctrination by secular progressive activists. Government run schools have been hijacked by those pushing a far left, destructive social agenda--at taxpayer expense.

The military is targeted because they have shown such receptivity to social extremism and a hyper-response to political correctness.

At times it appears the atheist groups are running the military. They call the Pentagon and within hours---in the case of the Air Force base in Boise it was less than an hour, and hint of the Christian religion is removed from the base. The military has been bowing and surrendering to the atheist demands, why wouldn't the homosexual activists see the opportunity where it exists?

Hyper-political correctness is the ultimate environment to advance the secular progressive's agenda of cultural Marxism.

We have a pretty good sense of how we got here---several decades of indoctrination in the government run schools and the "long march" of cultural Marxism through our institutions.

Generally unchecked by the Christian community.

So what now?

Psalms 11:3 asks the question many are asking.

"When the foundations are being destroyed what can the righteous do?"

Five things come to mind.
  1. Be Vigilant. Stand firm in biblical Truth. (v.1)
  2. Don't run from the enemy. (v. 1)
  3. You do not stand alone in your biblical faith. Be courageous. ( 12: 1-4)
  4. God will remedy the cultural condition. (11:6)
  5. God will use His people in restoring the culture.

I'll be talking more about these 5 things on the radio today. We are live at 9: AM, PDT and rebroadcast at 7:30 PM, PDT. Here's how you may listen anywhere in the world.

Be Vigilant. Be Discerning. Be Prayerful. Be Active. Be Informed. Be Courageous. Be Blessed.
