Children Crossing Border Carrying Deadly Contagious Diseases--How To Respond?

As children continue to illegally flood across the American border and are then bussed to various cities for drop off, the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS) is warning the public of a "high risk" for dangerous diseases.

While politicians turn a political eye toward the problem and this administration seems clueless---the American public generally wants to do the right thing.

But what is right?

The government must believe the problem will some how correct itself if they just keep busing the kids off to various US cities and dropping them off on the sidewalk.

The medical community is warning of a catastrophic, epidemic disease related crises if we continue as we are.

The religious left says it's God's will that we continue with our "open border" policy. They say that policy demonstrates Christian compassion.

The Muslim owned Al Jazeera America television news channel, recently purchased from Al Gore, agrees with the religious left.

Dr. Janet Orient, herself a physician, is Executive Director of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons. She says, "By admitting these large groups of children who come from countries where medical screenings are minimal and hygiene is poor, the United States is at risk for epidemics of serious diseases and viruses that the nation has not seen in years."

I agree. I've done Christian mission work in the countries that are sending these children to our borders.

Dr. Orient says, "Legal immigrants have always been required to undergo health screenings, but these kids coming have no medical screenings and no vaccine records."

She says, "They're likely coming here with a number of infectious diseases that will spread like wild fire."

"In addition," Dr. Orient says, "cases coming from south of the US border can be very resistant to medications. They don't respond to traditional antibiotics."

She explains that we, here in the US, are particularly vulnerable because we "no longer have natural immunity" because we haven't had these diseases in many years.

Tuberculosis is considered the single most dangerous disease because it is highly contagious and "can be picked up at the mall, at a school or on a bus." Norovirus is also extremely contagious and of great concern.

Dr. Elizabeth Lee Vliet, a physician who practices in both Tucson and Dallas, agrees with Orient.

She says this is creating a "looming health crises unlike any thing she has seen in her lifetime" as a physician.

She refers to it as "a 'tsunami' of 'invisible travelers' that our politicians don't like to mention..."

Dr. Vliet has done humanitarian work in these Central American countries since 2009, which gives her a first hand view of the medical problems that exist there.

She also says the economic impact of medical care, education and incarceration for illegals is bankrupting Arizona.

People regularly express concern for the kids who are being dumped at the border. Who among us is not touched by their plight? Can a parent look at the pictures without being profoundly moved with compassion?

Can a Christian not be moved compassion?

Vliet, her self a humanitarian, says, "People express concern about child endangerment from illegal minors dumped on Arizona streets in 100 degree heat. But a bigger concern is America's endangerment from life threatening diseases added to the social and economic collapse from costs of treating hundreds of thousands of illegals."

Many other doctors in America are saying this week that if this continues it will overwhelm the urgent care facilities in cities across the nation resulting in hours of waiting time to see a doctor and a collapse of the emergency system.

She says she has seen newspapers in these countries telling people the US borders are "open borders" encouraging them to come to our borders, promising they will receive food stamps and/or amnesty.

Dr. Vliet says this whole mess "is textbook Cloward-Piven strategy to overwhelm and collapse the economic and social systems, in order to replace them with a 'new socialist order' under federal control."

The religious left from America is also working in these countries encouraging people to come to America illegally. They say they do this in the name of Christian compassion.

Ironically, Al Jazeera TV, the Muslim news channel in America recently purchased from Al Gore, is in full agreement with the religious left and the Cloward-Piven strategy.

While the motives may be different, the narrative is essentially the same among politicians seeking to take political advantage and buy another vote, the religious left and Muslim owned Al Jazeera TV.

What is the solution?

What is the biblical answer?

To the degree that people are advocating breaking the law with illegal immigration, they are standing in direct opposition to what the Bible actually says about such things.

What does the Bible actually say about amnesty?

The real question is, "What does the Bible say about nationhood?"
