Drugs Pouring Over the Border While Agents Babysit-- and the World Burns

Photos obtained over the weekend show professional, organized and skilled drug smugglers carrying 50-pound backpacks of drugs over the border and no one is even challenging them.

There's no challenge because Border Patrol agents have been reassigned to domestic tasks and babysitting in the processing centers where thousands of kids from Central America continue to pour over our borders.

All this while the president, whose policies have created the catastrophe, conducts 3 fundraisers in Texas while failing to even visit the border.

One of the three fundraisers features a far left film producer who advocates amnesty, while mocking immigration laws in his films.

And the greatest nation on earth continues to drift off course for lack of leadership and the loss of a moral compass.

Border agents working in Arizona, California and Texas continue to be overwhelmed as thousands of unaccompanied children pour across our borders.

Our Leader's administration has reassigned them to help in the processing centers where they are making meals, changing bed sheets and diapers, and babysitting.

The photos in this link were obtained yesterday by Townhall and dated July 3 and July 6.

They were taken 30 miles north of the Southeastern Arizona border.

The photos show professional, organized and skilled drug smugglers carrying 50-pound backpacks of drugs into the US, while Border Patrol agents are buried in domestic tasks in the processing centers.

We can only wonder who else is crossing the border unchallenged during the chaos and crises resulting from lack of leadership.

The President was in Texas yesterday, not to observe the border crises, but to raise money for more far left causes, including his own.

In fact, he held 3 fundraisers yesterday.

His Austin fundraiser featured tickets ranging in price from $5,000 to $32,400.

Also featured was Austin based filmmaker Robert Rodryuez who produced the ultra-violent "Machete" films.

The first and most successful "Machete" film demonizes a politician who sought to tighten border control and a Minute Man-style American who delights in shooting a pregnant Mexican woman.

Actress Jessica Alba, who was in the first "Machete" film, also attended the Austin fundraiser yesterday.

In the first "Machete" film, Alba's character says, "We didn't cross the border, the border crossed us."

Some are wondering why the President would avoid seeing the crises on our border while partying with big time advocates of open borders and amnesty who have mocked Arizona's immigration laws in their films.

A growing number of us are not wondering anymore.

The light is being turned on, the truth is becoming evident. It is becoming clear that we not only have a difference of worldviews in America---we have no leadership.

Concern is being expressed by others around the world.

In January of this year, the Nobel Peace Prize winning former President of Poland, Lech Walesa, said in an article that was published internationally, "President Obama has failed...America no longer leads the world in politics or morality."

I met Lech Walesa while he was still an electrician in the Lenin shipyards of Gdansk, Poland, about the time he was fired by the Communist leadership for disagreeing with them.

He then began publicly advocating against them. Over the years he and his followers prevailed, and he was eventually elected President of the country.

I'm no fan of unions, but one thing I remember about him, he was focused and he knew how to lead. And he didn't isolate people like me just because I was not a fan of unions.

Walesa's sentiments about the leadership in America are being echoed around the world as scandal and corruption grip this administration from the NSA to the IRS to the VA, and the current domestic and foreign policies continue to miserably fail.

The Middle East has become a boiling cauldron, with missiles being fired at Jerusalem and Tel Aviv yesterday. Israel has called 40,000 troops to active duty. An Islamic caliphate is now in place in part of Iraq and Syria because of the vacuum created by this president's policy or lack thereof.

I believe, as do others, that at the heart of it all---worse than the political failure is the moral failure.

During the Month of June, United States embassies around the world flew the rainbow flag of the homosexual activist movement along side the American flag.

In doing so, the US leadership placed a greater importance on perverted sexual behavior, than on the multitudes of crises on our border, in our nation and around the world.

The US has been routinely strong arming much weaker African nations who believe homosexuality is morally wrong to change their beliefs and policies or risk losing financial aid from America.

Walesa reacted publicly last month to President Obama's attempt to push his homosexual "rights" agenda in Poland---much like he reacted to the Communists and their agenda a generation ago.

We are off course. And there is a growing awakening in our country. Even among Democrats and liberals. Only the far left secular progressives continue to march in this man's parade.

Even the biased left media is starting to question and express a little concern.

Peggy Noonan was a speech writer for Ronald Reagan. She continues to write columns for the Wall Street Journal and other papers.

After working for Reagan for a number of years she said, "In a president, character is everything. A president doesn't have to be brilliant...He doesn't have to be clever; you can hire clever...you can buy and bring in policy wonks. But you can't buy courage and decency, you can't rent a strong moral sense. A president must bring those things with him."

"Leading from behind" is the ultimate oxymoron, yet this president has actually suggested that is one of his skills.

America desperately needs leadership.

Pastor Max Lucado describes it like this: "A man who wants to lead the orchestra must turn his back on the crowd."

And John Adams, one of America's Founders and our second president put it this way--"Because power corrupts, society's demands for moral authority and character increase as the importance of the position increases."

Wisdom is telling us the most important thing we can do in the upcoming elections in 2014 and 2016 is to judge the character and morality of those who seek our vote.

Skip the rhetoric.
