University Prof Fired For Disclosing Facts

Cal. State University professor and researcher Mark Armitage was fired after he disclosed discovering "soft tissue" on a triceratops fossil.

The discovery stands in opposition to the acceptable narrative taught to our children regarding the earth's origins.

The scientific narrative in the classroom states as indisputable fact that dinosaurs roamed the earth about 60 million years ago, long before man evolved and joined the evolutionary progression.

A couple of problems with Professor Armitage and his discovery:

1. It does not support the predetermined outcome of present day science and its doctrine of evolution.

2. Armitage's discovery was published in a respected peer review scientific journal and given significant consideration in that several other similar discoveries have also surfaced.

Following the publication of Armitage's discovery, he was fired by the university.

CBS is reporting that the professor is now suing Cal State University.

Court documents reveal the university, following the professor's discovery, began a personal attack on his religious faith which was followed by his dismissal.

CBS LA reports that Armitage is a published scientist for more than 30 years, but was "abruptly" let go following publication of his discovery.

In fact, court documents claim the university told Armitage shortly after the original soft tissue discovery, "We are not going to tolerate your religion in this department."

Armitage is a Christian and believes in biblical Creation, yet his work has been published dozens of times over the years.

CBS reports that Armitage was "fascinated" to find soft tissue on what is believed to be the largest triceratops horn ever unearthed at the site in Montana.

Members of the university biology department and even some students were "stunned" CBS says by the discovery.

The discovery "indicates that dinosaurs roamed the earth only thousands of years ago rather than 60 million years ago" as the scientific community claims, CBS said.

This is a major problem for evolutionists. In order to make their theory work they need tens, maybe hundreds of millions of years.

This evidence disputes the very basis of their theory.

Brad Dacus, with the Christian Pacific Justice Institute, has filed suit on behalf of Armitage.

Cal State is now claiming his appointment at the university had been temporary and his dismissal was due to lack of funds.

Dacus said, "Terminating an employee because of their religious views is completely inappropriate and illegal."

"But doing so in an attempt to silence scientific speech at a public university is even more alarming," he said.

Dacus said, "This should be a wake up call and warning to the entire world of academia."

Indeed.

It should also be a wake up call to parents who are sending their children to public institutions to receive an education.

This case at Cal State is not isolated---it's common. It occurs regularly not only in science but in every discipline. Students are routinely taught selective material, not in search of truth, but to achieve a pre-determined outcome.

The outcome is predetermined by a deeply held secular cultural Marxist philosophy. We often call it secular progressivism, but at its heart it is cultural Marxism. It is both anti-God and anti-American.

Remember the melt down of Al Gore's Global Warming/ Climate Change extravaganza? It followed the same story line. Respected scientists began discovering the earth in fact was not "warming" as Gore and others were claiming, but was following a cyclical pattern of warming and cooling.

Scientists who did not comply or discovered evidence and reported it that did not support the accepted narrative were attacked personally and professionally.

The "Warming" movement became so rife with scandal it was, for all practical purposes, discredited. Al Gore is now lecturing in South America and Africa.

Stewardship of the earth is a biblical principle and directive. The Green Movement's agenda was not that.

It has evolved to a worship of the earth as the mother of life, which is consistent with the claims of evolution.

The poster below is posted in public classrooms across the country every year.

I rarely quote Albert Einstein but it was he who said, "The only thing more dangerous than ignorance is arrogance."

Those who lead the social revolution in America are not ignorant, but their arrogance is disgusting.

Our Founders knew the importance of education. Noah Webster, the father of what we call public education, drew heavily from biblical teaching and in fact once said the Bible alone could provide a complete education.

Public education has been transformed into a government run, taxpayer funded indoctrination program.

Abraham Lincoln said the philosophy of the classroom in one generation would be the philosophy of government in the next.

Hitler also understood that. He said, "He alone, who owns the youth, gains the future."

The Bible is very clear on the subject of teaching our children. "Train up a child in the way he should go..." and that will shape his or her life, because they will not forget the teaching.

The hippies of the 60s have grown up. And have taken over education. They too realize the importance of education.

And some of the radicals of the 60s are teaching in our universities and colleges.

This episode at Cal State reminds us that there are those among us who are willing to stand for the truth even when it costs them their job.

It should also remind us to be vigilant and discerning. Government run education is not a friend to people of faith.

Be Vigilant. Be Discerning. Be Diligent. Be Prayerful. Be Blessed.
