Creating A Culture Of Contradiction

President Obama, the greatest ally the abortion industry has ever had in the White House, appeared to be almost Catholic last week as he told the Catholic Health Association Conference, "Every human being, made in the image of God, deserves to live in dignity."

He told Planned Parenthood's national convention, you've "got a friend who's going to be right there with you fighting every step of the way."

Which is it? Life with dignity, or death by abortion?

He has also claimed to be "almost a Jew."

Rachel Dolezal is the leader of the NAACP chapter in Spokane, Washington.

She says she is black. Her parents, Larry and Ruthanne Dolezal, say she is white, because she is their biological child and they are "Czech, Swedish and German with some Native American."

Rachel says her black step brother, whom her parents adopted, is her "son," not her "brother."

"And," she told KREM TV 2 in Spokane, "I have no contradiction in my mind about this."

USA Today is reporting on KREM's story: "What started here in Spokane is now a global conversation whether biology or social influence defines race."

USA Today is now on social media with this: "Is it possible to be born in the #wrongskin?"

President Obama has a long history of contradictions.

Way back in 2009, the Wall Street Journal said in regard to his presentation of Obamacare, "The president contradicts himself every other breath."

In May, 2012, Charles Krauthammer wrote for National Review Online, "Obama's Same-Sex Marriage Contradiction," detailing how the president was making contradictory statements about his beliefs regarding marriage.

In September of 2014, Reuters and Business Insider wrote, "Obama Just Contradicted Himself About His Strategy Against ISIS."

The Atlantic, definitely left leaning, published last August, "The Contradiction in President Obama's Promises On Iraq."

Again last week Business Insider published this: "The Obama Administration's ISIS Strategy Faces a Crippling Contradiction."

Last week he was also telling the Catholics he and they shared the same values regarding life.

They didn't believe him, and Father Frank Pavone, national director of Priests For Life, wrote a very candid response title, "Obama's Mind Boggling Contradiction on Abortion."

Without fixed "Truth," there is no moral compass. Things become true because I said them. My statements become "my truth."

Late last week and continuing this morning, the story of Spokane's Rachel Dolezal has become an international story.

Briefly this is what is happening.

For a number of years Rachel Dolezal has told people she has bi-racial parents, therefore she is black.

Before becoming the director of the Spokane Washington chapter of the NAACP, she was a professor of Africana Studies at Eastern Washington University in Bellingham.

She has been a civil rights activist for blacks.

In Spokane she is not only the director of the NAACP but is also chairwoman of the city of Spokane's police-oversight board.

Last week the public began to become aware that Rachel is in fact not black. Her parents. who live in Troy, Montana have verified she is in fact their biological daughter, they are both white, not black.

KREM TV 2 reported on a recent investigation regarding hate mail allegedly received by Rachel.

KREM reports, "A recent investigation into racially charged threats made toward the president of the NAACP chapter in Spokane have raised questions beyond who made the threats."

The police have now said the letter did not indicate that it was actually mailed in that it did not have the proper markings.

Through this investigation, it has been learned that Rachel has been living under the pretense of being black.

As the story unfolds, a clear picture emerges of how relativism and secular progressivism works and how it destroys.

She has told KREM she considers herself black, and that one of her adopted stepbrothers is really her son. When questioned she told the reporter, "I feel no contradiction in my mind."

The Seattle Times reports that Gerald Hankerson, president of the Seattle based NAACP conference of Alaska, Oregon and Washington, knew Dolezal before she took the helm of the chapter in Spokane---while she was teaching at Western Washington University.

He says she has done a remarkable job bringing in new members and has established what they call "Moral Mondays" to talk about civil rights.

Hankerson defends Dolezal and says he doesn't feel misled.

He says, "People have a right to identify who they are and who they want to be."

Chinyere Osuji, an assistant professor of sociology at Rutgers University says, "You can't become black by marrying a black man and having black children; that doesn't work in our society."

She's right, but there is a reason it doesn't "work in this society" or any other. It defies the laws of nature and nature's God---the Creator.

There is a striking parallel in Rachel's thinking and the gender fluidity being taught in government run public education.

Osuji says she feels empathy toward Dolezal. So do I. But I also feel empathy toward the tens of millions of our kids who are being indoctrinated daily in the public classroom to accept relativism and secular progressivism.

Megan Ming Francis, a University of Washington assistant professor of political science, says there is "a long history of whites being involved in causes for people of color."

However, she says, "What is different about this story is what many people feel is a misrepresentation on the part of Rachel."

That's stating the obvious.

However, as the national narrative is obsessed with gender confusion-- From Bruce Jenner to little kids in the classroom to college and university students pretending to be male or female or neither or all of the above---with schools rushing to build restrooms to accommodate it all---now this next wave of insanity.

USA Today strikes the parallels reporting, "Parents Out 'Black' NAACP Leader as White Woman."

And USA Today has launched a campaign on social media, particularly Twitter, with this: "Is it possible to be born in the #wrongskin?"

Who knows how far this will go?

By severing the moorings of God's Word and Truth in our culture, we are setting ourselves adrift and will be tossed by every wave and storm of contradiction and deception.
