What's Broken? Our System or our Politicians?

President Obama says, "Today our immigration system is broken, and everyone knows it."

House Speaker John Boehner says, "Our nation's immigration system is broken, and we need to work together to fix it."

Immigration is a big problem. But it' not the only problem.

Speaker Boehner's health policy advisor, Charlotte Ivancic, resigned her position after it became public that her sister is Cate Dyer, founder of Stem Express---the company seen in the undercover videos of Planned Parenthood conducting their baby parts trafficking.

The press is obsessive in their desire to push America down the "slippery slope" of secular progressive ideology---it doesn't matter whether the subject is immigration, Planned Parenthood's abortion business, marriage, family or religious freedom.

Public education. Every indicator reveals it is miserably failing.

But what's broken---the system or the politicians whom we've elected to lead?

Terrance Jeffery published a provocative article this weekend.

In it he focuses on immigration, which is dominating the news today with the discussion about "anchor babies."

I wrote about that last week.

Jeffery says our current immigration policy is to "not" enforce the existing laws---or to simply revise them to advance a certain ideology. And business model.

His article outlines how illegals operate in direct defiance to our current laws, and how business rewards and politicians protect the illegal activities.

Jeffery has found that nowhere is this model more alive and well than in Washington DC.

In 2012, PEW Research found that 27% of construction workers in our Capital were "unauthorized workers."

Next door in Maryland, it was 26% and across the river in Virginia, it was 19%.

Service workers in the District and these 2 states were 12%, 13% and 10% "unauthorized."

These workers don't live in the shadows, they live in the shadow of the Capital and the White House. They sell burgers to---and build homes for the elite ruling class---the politicians and their aids, staffers and advisers.

These same aids, staffers and advisers who assist elected officials with their policy formation and their message for when they travel back to their home districts, pounding the lectern telling us little people "we need immigration reform."

And they tell us they need our vote and money so they can fix the system.

That same PEW report found at least 20,000 illegal aliens living within Washington DC, 275,000 in Virginia and 250,000 in Maryland.

I think its safe to assume that number has not diminished since 2012.

Jeffery believes our politicians are broken, not our immigration system. "If our politicians were not broken," he says, "the Republicans who controlled Congress in 2000 would have sent that repair to President Clinton that year and he would have signed it into law."

Demanding immigration or any other policy to be reformed has become such a normal noise in our political environment, no one much expects anything of consequence to happen---and no one much is held accountable.

However, when some one, like several current Republican presidential candidates, began talking about actually doing something like "enforcing existing laws, on say, immigration" or pointing out that the 14th Amendment does not in fact provide for thousands or even millions of illegal women to come across our borders in order to give birth to a child that will then be used as a vehicle to import large numbers of family members without going through our immigration process, the ruling elite rise to the occasion.

That has been the problem with Ted Cruz, and even mild mannered Dr. Ben Carson. Now they have Trump to deal with.

When a politician, particularly one running for president, gets serious about "de-funding Planned Parenthood" or pushing legislation that protects religious freedom, or reforming the tax code---you name it---the press and the ruling class rise to put down the insurrection.

And the media follows up with sound bites and pictures to prove those who are actually trying to change things are "extreme" and "uninformed"---"not presidential."

Although he is the most visible, it isn't only Trump. Ben Carson and Ted Cruz are also advocating we stop the madness of "anchor babies." In fact over the weekend, Dr. Ben Carson called it a "stupid" idea.

While the media is covering this issue, particularly in relation to Trump, they are ignoring the many experts that are telling America the Constitution does not support the "anchor babies" policy.

What's broken? The system, or our politicians?

Unfortunately, it isn't only immigration.

Charlotte Ivancic, long time legal adviser on health care policy to Speaker of the House John Boehner, has resigned and taken a job with the lobbying firm Tarplin, Downs & Young.

She has also been the legal adviser to the House Budget Committee.

The recent videos of Planned Parenthood's involvement in trafficking baby parts shows Cate Dyer, who runs the biotech company StemExpress, laughing and discussing shipping "intact" aborted baby parts.

Dyer is seen and heard saying, "Oh, yeah, I mean, if you had intact cases, which we've done a lot, we sometimes ship those back to our lab in its entirety." Then later in the conversation, she says, "Yeah [laughter] Tell the lab it's coming!...They'll open the box, go, 'Oh G_ _. [laughter]"

Cate Dyer is Charlottee Ivancic's sister. This is why Ivancic suddenly resigned. It wouldn't look good for the Speaker or the House Budget Committee.

Do you believe John Boehner really wants to de-fund Planned Parenthood?

Do you believe John Boehner really wants to abolish Obamacare?

Boenher's long time adviser, Charlotte Ivancic, has now gone to work for Tarplin, Downs & Young, which is a consulting firm that specializes in " strategic consulting and policy development with a particular focus on health care" according to its web site.

They lobby your elected officials on policy issues.

John Boehner said of Ivancic upon her leaving his office the other day, "Charlotte has spearheaded some of our most significant accomplishments on behalf of the American people. She's one of the best I've seen at bringing people together to find common ground, and she leaves Boehnerland with the deepest respect..."

Tarplin, Downs & Young's clients are Merck, Pfizer Inc., PhRMA and AARP. Three of those clients do a great deal of medical research, including with unborn baby parts. AARP merely promotes the progressive left agenda to America's older folks.

Perhaps she and her sister have nothing in common. Who knows? However, she left Boehner after it became known that her sister was at the heart of the baby parts fiasco.

It is no longer acceptable to a growing number of citizens for Republicans to merely denounce Democrats, pound the lectern and ask for another term so they can return to their often politically and morally compromised positions to reform government.

It was American Founder Patrick Henry who said, "The liberties of a people never were, nor will they ever be secure, when the transactions of their rulers may be concealed from them."

He said, "Bad men cannot make good citizens. A vitiated state of morals, a corrupted public conscience are incompatible with freedom."

And he said, "It is when people forget God that tyrants forge their chains."

Patrick Henry's message for us today would be: "Hold your politicians accountable, at any cost. Turn on the light. Work to stir up the conscience of America by sharing the Truth of God's Word and standing for it publicly."

"And don't forget God, because if you do, tyrants will forge your chains."

Be Vigilant. Be Discerning. Be Informed. Be Prayerful. Be Blessed.
