Classroom Chaos: Teachers Beaten, Gender Challenged

American public education, now in the hands of secular progressives, is in free fall.

A new study has found that President Obama's education policies are causing teachers to be punched out in classrooms by students who know there will be no consequences.

His policies are literally killing many schools across the nation.

Human gender is being challenged while a form of racism is being practiced---not only in some far away inner-city institution, but in Pullman, Washington----on the farm, as they say, at WSU.

Secular progressivism is driving the destruction of public education, manifesting itself in relativistic values and racism.

There is chaos in the classroom.

Earlier this year, The New York Post wrote a feature article titled, "How Liberal Discipline Policies Are Making Schools Less Safe."

Indeed they are.

The story is primarily focused on the larger cities--New York City, of course, Los Angles, Philadelphia, Chicago, Oakland, etc., however, the ripple effect is being felt to some degree in all schools across the nation.

In 2014, President Obama announced a new program called "Restorative Justice" that would enforce new race based disciplines in the classroom.

The essence of it is that the administration through the Justice Department and the Department of Education is forcing school districts to stop suspending minority students who are suspended more often that white students.

Both the Justice Department and the Department of Education have warned school districts they are watching for any "disparate impact" on minorities.

PROJECT 21, a conservative organization that promotes the entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to individual responsibility and family within the African American community, is reporting that decision has led to chaos in the classroom.

A Los Angles teacher says, "I was terrified and bullied by a 4th grade black student who told me to 'Back-off, bi__h'." She says I told him to go to the office and he said, "'No bi__h', and no one can make me'."

Although public schools now have "restorative justice" counselors who regularly conduct mandated "positive interventions," black kids are not even suspended for fights or drugs.

Allen Zollman, a Philadelphia middle school teacher, says one student told him, "I'm going to torture you. I'm doing this because I can't be removed."

Zollman says, "The less we are willing or able to respond, the more they will control the classroom, the hallways and the school."

But that doesn't seem to be a problem for the Obama Administration.

Last year, after this program was implemented, Education Secretary Arne Duncan gushed as he told black students at Howard University, "Young people are taking control of the environment."

He said, "It's sort of a counterintuitive thing for many of us adults, but the more we give up power, the more we empower others, often the better things are."

Continuing, Duncan added, "And empowering teenagers to be part of the solution, having them control the [classroom] environment, control the culture, be leaders, listening to them---when we do that, wonderful things happen for kids..."

Weeks after the implementation of this program, school districts that were to be most helped by the program reported a surge in violent attacks in the classroom.

In spite of all this, President Obama and his crew are telling the public "it's working"---holding up Oakland schools as a national model.

But teachers on the front lines in Oakland told the Christian Science Monitor, "There have been serious threats against teachers, and one student set another student's hair on fire" because they know there will be no consequences for their actions.

The Education Action Group's (EAG) poll and a "Education Next" poll on the matter shows a vast majority of the public, in virtually all demographics, believe the federal policies are "mis-guided."

Among parents, 54% oppose this program and 60% of teachers oppose it. Obviously.

The EAG reported this regarding Portland schools here in the Northwest.

They said:
After spending millions on restorative justice and “courageous conversations about race” training, Portland public schools have seen their students only grow more violent.

After a black high-school boy repeatedly punched his teacher in the face, sending her to the emergency room, the teacher, who is white, was advised by the assistant principal not to press charges. The administrator lectured her about how hard it is for young black men to overcome a criminal record.

Worse, she was told she should examine what role she, “as a white woman” holding unconscious racial biases, played in the attack, according to the Willamette (Oregon) Week.

Unconscious racial biases?

Chaos.

The secularists call this "progress."

This is a cruel and twisted form of racism which denies both Black and Hispanic kids with problems the opportunity for balanced, normal human development, it puts teachers lives at risk and it removes the possibility of any quality education for those kids who are not problemed--- minority or otherwise.

The Spokesman Review in Spokane, Washington reports that instructors at Washington State University are attempting to ban terms like "illegal alien," "male" and "female" in the classroom.

Professor Selena Lester Breikss, who teaches a 300 level course in "Women and Popular Culture," has a policy this year that attempts to bar students from using terms such as "The Man," "colored people," illegal's," illegal aliens" and "tranny."

She is also trying to ban the use of "male" and "female" to describe men and women.

Her course syllabus says, "Repeated use of oppressive and hateful language will be handled accordingly---including but not limited to removal from the class without attendance or participation points, failure of the assignment and---in extreme cases---failure for the semester."

Professor Rebecca Fowler told her students they will lose one point each time they use the word "illegal" to describe an immigrant, rather than the preferred "undocumented" in their writing.

Her syllabus for "Comparative Ethnic Studies" says her course aims to help students "understand the ways in which socio-historical constructions of race and ethnicity have worked to produce racial differences" and how to "recognize how white privilege functions..."

Professor John Streamas tells students in his 200 level class, "Insensitive whites such as Glenn Beck complain that, for example, they are not allowed to say the 'n' word without being labeled racist but that black men use it among themselves all the time. To 'earn' the right to that word, Beck must first endure 500 years of racism," the professor says.

I don't listen much to Beck, so I don't know what he has said in this regard, however, I remember what the Spokesman Review also remembers about Prof. Streamas.

Back in 2006, it was Streamas who led an attack on the WSU College Republicans using a vulgar, racially charged term to describe them---one which I won't quote here---because they had demonstrated against illegal immigration and used a "fence" as a prop for their demonstration.

Streamas later said he regretted using the term, but still believed that the conservative kid's demonstration was racist and offensive.

It is Streamas who is "racist and offensive."

WSU is now asking all professors to review their course policies to ensure that students' "rights to freedom of expression is protected with a safe and productive learning environment."

The learning environment is not "safe." And it has little to do with "course policies."

These kinds of policies are merely an extension of the hardcore anti-conservative, often anti-Christian beliefs held by most, most, not all, professors, whether in the wheat fields of Eastern Washington or the ivy of Harvard.

God bless those who hold conservative, traditional beliefs. They stand among those who founded this country.

Noah Webster, considered by most to be the father of public education, said, "In my view, the Christian religion is the most important and one of the first things in which all children, under a free government ought to be instructed...No truth is more evident in my mind than that the Christian religion must be the basis of any government intended to secure the rights and privileges of a free people."

He also said, "Education is useless without the Bible."
