Obama To Issue Federal Bathroom Order This Week

The Obama administration will announce this week a new bathroom directive regarding "gender identity" in 9,200 government properties---compliance will not be limited to government employees. It applies to everyone.

Who would have believed that the most prosperous, free, blessed nation in the history of the world would become obsessed with the use of bathrooms?

America is responding in one of two ways. Both with passion.

Example:

Parents in Omaha, Nebraska, are pushing back---hard, against the nonsense in their schools.

Formerly Christian Pepperdine University is embracing the so-called "genderless" new normal, revoking their religious wavier in favor of celebrating gender fluidity---because the old values do "not fully reflect Pepperdine's values today."

The Obama Administration plans to post their new regulations regarding bathrooms and gender identity in the Federal Register this week, opening up thousands of federally operated restrooms to transgender people who wish to use the facilities corresponding with their perceived gender identity at the moment, rather than their biological sex.

Government Services Administration spokesperson Ashley Nash-Hahn says anyone visiting a federally operated property, including courthouses, etc.,---all 9,200 of them--- will be allowed to use the restroom consistent with their gender identity.

"This includes all kinds of Americans," she says. "We wanted to make clear that a person can use facilities that match their gender identity, and we think that's a good thing."

Not everybody thinks that's a "good thing."

As you probably know, the administration issued an edict in May compelling public schools nationwide to implement this same insanity.

Two coalitions of states have sued the administration over the order saying they don't think boys should be wandering in and out of girls bathrooms, locker rooms and showers because they think they "might" be a girl at the moment.

Common sense.

Obama's Department of Justice is suing North Carolina because NC lawmakers said "No." They passed a law that requires people to use the bathroom, and other such private facilities that correspond to their "biological" sex, not their perceived sex.

School board members in Nebraska are determined to install the insane transgender policy in schools, but a group of parents are just as determined to stop them.

Omaha is a microcosm of the nation.

Earlier this year, the Omaha Public Schools approved a city-wide comprehensive sex ed program despite strong parental opposition.

The comprehensive plan, of course, reaches well beyond, and now the school's agenda includes Obama style bathrooms.

People from the area and from outside the area have been stunned by the militancy of the school board in forcing this policy on schools, parents and families.

A vote on the matter was set for Monday, Aug. 15.

The homosexual publication "LGBTQ Nation" published this yesterday: "Omaha School Board Advances New Policy on Trans Students."

They and other homosexual advocacy publications quoted the Associated Press, "The Omaha school board has advanced a measure updating the district anti-discrimination policy to include gender identity or gender expression, weathering a stormy debate."

The proposal was approved on the first vote. A final vote will be taken next month.

I am certain the parents will fight on in their effort to protect their children.

Ironically, 5 of the 9 seats on the Omaha school board are up for reelection in November.

While parents in Omaha publicly fight for their children and their personal values, Pepperdine University is quietly giving up their Christian values.

The Christian Post reported earlier that "Pepperdine University has quietly given up its longtime federal Title IX religious exemption, that allowed the school to maintain its biblical convictions on marriage and gender identity..."

This was following an article in the far Left Huffington Post that reported on a letter sent by Pepperdine to the Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights from Pepperdine President Benton requesting the religious exemption be removed.

Both the Christian Post and the Huff Post wondered if the school is reacting to being singled out by a national "Shame List" that was published last December naming Christian Colleges that should be "shamed" for their beliefs about marriage and human sexuality.

Pepperdine has published a statement that says in part, "The university withdrew from the previously granted exemption because it does not fully reflect Pepperdine's values today."

A letter to former Pepperdine President David Davenport from the government Civil Rights office back in 1985 indicates that the college originally sought the exemption because of its belief that "God approves sexual relationships only between male and female in holy wedlock."

There are currently 75 schools that have Title IX exceptions.

One News Now says, " Mr. Pepperdine Rolls Over In His Grave."

Pepperdine University is located on a sprawling 830-acre campus in Malibu, California. It currently has 7,600 students.

Pepperdine, like most private schools in America---and some public ones as well, was founded by a committed Christian.

George Pepperdine, businessman, philanthropist and founder of the Western Auto store chain founded the college in 1937.

This sign from the past reflects the reason Pepperdine exists today.

Pepperdine has lost both its distinction and its emphasis.

Brad Dacus, with the Christian law firm Pacific Justice Institute, says, "Pepperdine has in essence negated them as a university committed to Christianity and especially the teaching of Scripture from the Bible."

He says, "The school's backtracking should be a warning for parents who are considering sending their children there."

My take--don't send them.

It was American Founding Father, whom many consider the Father of American public education, Noah Webster, who said, "Education is useless without the Bible."

He also said, "Discipline our youth in early life in sound maxims of moral, political, and religious duties."

In fact, he said, "The moral principles and precepts contained in Scriptures ought to form the basis of all of our constitutions and laws" because "all of the miseries and evils which men suffer...proceed from their despising or neglecting the precepts contained in the Bible."

This would include biblical teaching on marriage and human sexuality.

Sadly, we have come to expect the far Left secular progressives to major in progressive indoctrination and to champion insanity, rather than focusing on true education in our public schools.

Now this.

I'm certainly not into "shaming lists"---but shame on the leadership at Pepperdine University.
