"Rigging" The Election--One Felon At A Time

Democrat Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe announced a couple of months ago that he, using an "Executive Order," was going to restore, en masse, the voting rights of 200,000 felons in the state.

According to a jail survey, 7 in 10 will vote for Democratic Party.

The State GOP sued.

The State Supreme Court struck down the governor's Executive Order in a ruling last month.

Today, Gov. McAuliffe is scheduled to speak to the press at the Civil Rights Memorial on Capitol Square at noon (EDT) and explain how he is circumventing the courts and the law, in order to help "rig" the election.

The Richmond Times reported on July 23, "The Supreme Court of Virginia on Friday struck down Gov. McAuliffe's executive order restoring voting rights to 206,000 felons, dealing a severe blow to what the governor has touted as one of his proudest achievements in office."

Chief Justice Donald W. Lemons wrote for the majority opinion, "Never before have any of the prior 71 Virginia governors issued a clemency order of any kind---including pardons, reprieves, commutations, and restoration orders---to a class on unnamed felons without regard for the nature of the crimes or any individual circumstances relevant to the request."

Those 71 prior Virginia governors would include the state's first Governor Patrick Henry, and 3 others who would become President of the United States--Thomas Jefferson, John Tyler and James Monroe.

The court ordered the State Department of Elections to "cancel the registration of all felons who have been invalidly registered" under McAuliffe's executive order, with a cancellation date of August 25.

A study of how criminals vote found that most convicts (more than 6 to 1) register Democratic. This, of course, reveals why McAuliffe, a close friend of the Clintons and former head of the Democratic Party, would be so highly motivated to make this happen before November.

This morning, the Washington Post is reporting that McAuliffe will hold a press conference at noon today (EDT) and explain how he is circumventing the highest court in the state to make this happen:

Gov. Terry McAuliffe will announce Monday that he has restored voting rights to 13,000 felons, defying the Republicans and state Supreme Court justices who last month stopped his more sweeping clemency effort.
At noon Monday, it said, he will appear at the Civil Rights Memorial on Capitol Square “to make major restoration of rights announcement.”
A McAuliffe spokeswoman, Christina Nuckols, declined to provide more information.
McAuliffe will announce that he has restored voting rights to the 13,000 felons, making them free to register once again, according to the two people, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to disclose his plans. McAuliffe also will lay out his plans to restore rights to the remainder of the 200,000.
"His plans," I'm told, are to issue 206,000 individual Clemency Grants---one at a time, with auto-pen working around the clock, signing his name to each Grant as though he has individually considered each clemency.

Deception. Corruption.

He has the 13,000---those set to expire on the 25th, done as of today, and will have the remainder of the 206,000 done in time for the election. By all accounts, polls show Hillary will not win Virginia---even with these new friends. However, this is one snapshot of what "rigged" looks like.

The Heritage Foundation gives us another snapshot of "rigged."

Their publication, "The Daily Signal," says, "With this November's election looming just over the horizon, the topic of voter fraud is popping up much more frequently in our news feeds."

"Progressives," they say, "insist that voter fraud is a myth, a charade meant to justify repressive voting laws. The facts, however tell a different story: voter fraud is real, and if we ignore it, we leave our ballot boxes open to fraudsters who would rather steal elections than risk losing in a fair and open contest."

The Signal story is very informative. I strongly suggest you read their story linked above, titled "Voter Fraud Is Real. Here Are 4 More Cases."

Former Virginia Governor, US President and one of the Founders of this great nation Thomas Jefferson said: "The price of freedom is eternal vigilance."

Be Vigilant. Be Informed. Be Discerning. Be Prayerful.
