Planned Parenthood celebrated it's 100th birthday Sunday, the 16th, with best wishes from both President Obama and Canada's Prime Minister Trudeau.

Other abortion champions in our country and from elsewhere in the world joined them in celebrating PP's "success."

Both the president and the PM tweeted, "Here's to another #100YearsStrong."

It's ironic that PP celebrates its own longevity while celebrating the number of unwanted lives it has extinguished during the past 100 years. That number is 6,803,782.

Will they have another "#100Years Strong?"

It wasn't only Obama and Trudeau but abortion champions in and out of our government and elsewhere who celebrated this weekend.

President Obama said, "For a century, Planned Parenthood has made it possible for women to determine their own lives"---Trudeau tweeted a picture of himself with PP CEO Cecile Richards with the words, "My warmest congratulations."

Both wished PP another 100 years strong.

On October 16, 1916, Founder Margaret Sanger opened her first "birth control" clinic in Brooklyn.

Her primary motivation at that time was eugenics---she was a eugenicist---committed to population control. She was committed to eliminating the weakest, least desirable in her efforts to improve society. Her primary target was blacks.

While Planned Parenthood has morphed its brand more toward abortion---or "women's health services" as they like to say, they are still fed by the same ideological roots that founded them. So much so that they continue to give the annual "Margaret Sanger Award" to the person they feel has helped most to advance their goals.

Hillary Clinton has been a recipient of the Sanger award and is often a global spokesperson and greatest advocate of their work.

CNS News has published an article documenting their "success" from PP's own reports.

To date, PP has killed 6,803,782 unwanted babies. To put that number in perspective, according to the US Census Bureau, the combined populations of Los Angeles and Chicago in 2015 was 6,692,379.

Although abortion was not legal when Sanger opened her first clinic in Brooklyn, the procedure was legalized in the state of New York on July 1, 1970. The very next day, July 2, 1970, the New York clinic performed its first abortion.

The Chicago Tribune reported that 58 abortions were performed that day in New York, with Planned Parenthood telling the press it "planned to handle at least 5,000 resident NYC abortions per month."

CNS has documented PP's progress in numbers of abortions since those founding moments.

The news site also notes that "Every year, Planned Parenthood receives millions of tax dollars through Title X Family Planning appropriations. It's latest report shows that 43% of Planned Parenthood's revenues come from government health services grants and reimbursements ( state and federal) for a total of $557.7 million in 2014."

Will President Obama's birthday wish come true for Planned Parenthood? I'm certain he crossed his fingers, thought positive thoughts and blew out the candles.

But will pro-life Americans be successful in blowing out PP's "success" before our great grandchildren grow old and are forced to "celebrate" another #100YearsStrong ?

Beverly Hallberg says she hopes so.

She quotes Cecile Richards on the birthday of PP: "We've made incredible gains during our first century and we're just getting started. We will build on our proud legacy and launch our second century with as much passion, courage and conviction as our first."

Hallberg admits that Planned Parenthood is likely here for the foreseeable future, but encourages pro-life people to keep doing what we are doing, and she offers some effective talking points for conversation in your own community.

I don't know what the life span of PP might be, but I do know that Planned Parenthood is the face of evil, as it stands against the sanctity of Life and the Creator of Life Himself.

I also know that it will exceed its ambitious goals if it's favorite sister, Hillary Clinton is elected President of the United States.
