Witches To "Cast A Spell" On Pres. Trump Tonight

Those who don't like Donald Trump and the current Republican administration are mobilizing in all sorts of ways.

Seattle Mayor Ed Murray told his audience at a Seattle mosque Tuesday, "The next four years in this country will be a battle for the soul of America."

As mentioned in this column earlier this week, Obama led and Saul Alinsky-inspired community organizers are disrupting townhall meetings held by Republican politicians who support the president.

In fact, they were involved in demonstrations against our US Secretary of State in Mexico yesterday.

If you thought it was all about politics, you would be wrong.

Organized covens of witches across this country, and beyond, will begin "casting spells" on President Trump tonight at midnight.

Activists from all sectors of the secular progressive movement are promising to undermine President Trump in a number of ways.

Seattle's Mayor Ed Murray told his audience at Seattle's Idris Mosque this week he will be taking action against the president because "the path ahead involves confrontation." More from Murray in a moment.

The resistance against President Trump is more than political---it is spiritual.

ELLE Magazine says, "Starting at midnight on Friday [today] witches around the country are calling for a mass spell to be cast on Donald Trump every night of a waning crescent moon until he's driven from office."

Michael M. Hughes is the man behind the spell casting plan. He says his idea came from multiple spells he saw going around private witchcraft groups.

He published it on Extra NewsFeed because he felt "it would be very welcome to a lot of people." He says it quickly spread, with events being formed around the country and support on social media.

Huges told ELLE that he has chosen a "binding spell" because "we're not wishing harm on anyone, we're just trying to stop the harm they're doing."

Hughes says, "It's not the equivalent of punching a Nazi in the face, it's the equivalent of tying him up and taking his bullhorn away."

He says, "My feeling was that people were feeling so helpless in the face of all this" and he sees this ritual, as much as anything, is a "self-exorcism."

"So many of us are overwhelmed by this guy's face, this energy---it's ever present and beating a lot of us down," he says.

And he says, "I see this as a way of people reclaiming their own power...It's not just that we can stop him, but we can expunge him from ourselves."

Mayor Murray's message at Idris Mosque in Seattle this past Tuesday carried some parallel lines.

Murray said, "Where the president is slamming doors and building walls, Americans and Seattleites are spreading our arms and opening our hearts."

The Seattle PI says, "The mayor made it clear that the path ahead involves confrontation"...defining it as a collision between Seattle's progressive policies and the agenda of the new administration..."

Murray said, "The next four years in this country will be a battle for the soul of America."

"And," the PI reports, "he even used Biblical analogy, saying, 'Where the president spreads darkness, Seattle will shine a light, and offer a different vision'."

I'm reminded of Paul's instruction to the church in II Corinthians 11:13,14,15 regarding different visions: "For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works."

Isaiah had seen this kind of messaging before as well. He said (Is. 5:20), "Woe to those who call evil good and good evil; who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter."

Hughes is encouraging everyone to become involved in tonight's ritual---"even those who are skeptical of magic."

He says, "The real intention is just to get the energy focused at the same time, with as many people as possible."

"No matter how you approach it," he says, "it's great to be a part of it."

Personal to my Christian readers.

Ephesians 6:12; "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age,[a] against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places."

Murray is right. There is indeed a "battle for the soul of America."

If possible, and if you feel led to do so, it would be good if God's people took a moment tonight---at midnight, and according to scripture, pray for our president---specifically asking God to break down the strongholds and to protect the president.

"For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ" ( II Corinthians 10:4,5).

And remember---

"Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit says the Lord of hosts" (Zech. 4:6).

Be Prayerful. Be Strong. Be faithful. Be Blessed.
