FBI "Loses" 5 Months Of Senior Officials' Emails About Trump

We're learning that the FBI has "lost" about 5 months of emails between two senior FBI officials who were openly criticizing--- and trying actively to undermine then-candidate, and later President-elect Trump.

This while they were working on the Clinton email investigation and the Russian collusion investigation.

Talk about a "shadow government" or "Deep State"--- this is very shadowy and runs very deep.

The officials in question are Peter Strzok and Lisa Page--- the two senior FBI officials who had texted each other hundreds of times sharing messages of how much they loathed Donald Trump and spoke of an "insurance policy" in case he was actually elected.

We've heard about these two before, but now Senate Homeland Security Chairman Ron Johnson has revealed in a letter dated January 20--- last week--- to the Director of the FBI, Christopher Wray, that the emails in question-- those the Committee were demanding to see, have been "lost" by the FBI.

I strongly encourage you to read Johnson's letter.

The FBI is telling the Senate Committee that their technical system failed to preserve texts exchanged between Strzok and Page between December 14, 2016, and May 17, 2017.

Johnson is expressing deep concern because it is apparent from other records that Strzok and Page communicated frequently about the investigation.

Ironically, May 17 is the precise date that the Robert Mueller Special Counsel was convened.

The Committee has already learned that Strzok, Page, and other FBI operatives saw the so-called "Russian Dossier" falsely created to bring down Trump as the "insurance policy."

Senator Johnson says he learned of the missing texts on January 19 after the FBI handed over 384 texts.

The Senator says Strzok and Page, who were having a sexual affair at the time, discussed speeding up the Clinton investigation once it became clear that Trump would be the GOP presidential nominee.

The emails also reveal that Strzok and Page discussed efforts to water down then FBI Director James Comey's statement on the Clinton email investigation.

The original state was going to reveal that Clinton wrongly used her personal email in an exchange with "the president while Secretary Clinton was on the territory of such an adversary."

It said, "Given that combination of factors, we assess it is possible that hostile actors gained access to Secretary Clinton's personal email."

However, on June 30, 2016, Strzok notified Page that "the president" was replaced with "another senior government official." The final statement scrubbed the whole reference.

Strzok and Page also discussed the episode where Bill Clinton secretly met with then Attorney General Loretta Lynch on the back side of the Phoenix airport during the investigation of Hillary.

Once the secret meeting became public, Lynch put out a make believe statement saying they just talked about their grandchildren.

At the time Page emailed Strzok describing the statement as a real profile in courage, "since she knows no charges will be brought."

Rep. Ron DeSantis (R-Fl.) said in a tweet Sunday, "FBI Director Wray needs to provide an explanation..." about whether information about the Trump "insurance policy" was deleted?

House Intelligence committee staffers have put together a four-page classified memo that reportedly explains how the FBI relied upon the salacious and unverified Trump dossier to investigate the Trump campaign.

That will likely be released to the public within the next couple of weeks.

A hundred years (1877) after the American Revolution, James Garfield wrote an article that was published in The Atlantic titled, "A Century of Progress."

In it he wrote, "Now more than ever the people are responsible for the character of their Congress. If that body be ignorant, reckless and corrupt, it is because the people tolerate ignorance, recklessness and corruption."

I don't think that our Founders or Garfield, a hundred years later, could have imagined the extent to which our government employees could become this corrupted.

A year ago John Daniel Davidson wrote an article for The Federalist titled, "Obama's Shadow Government is Organizing To Undermine Trump."

In it he warned that "Obama and his loyalists in and outside government are working to undermine Trump."

Davidson said at the time, "As leaks keep flowing from our intelligence agencies and the tweets keep flying from former Obama officials, keep in mind that although we haven't heard much from Obama himself yet, the Trump administration is going to keep feeling the disruptions of what amounts to a shadow government."

An informed and prayerful citizenry is the most viable response to this deep, dark, shadowy effort to "remake America" into something our Founders never envisioned and God never intended.

Be Informed. Be Vigilant. Be Prayerful. Be Discerning.
