Netflix Partners With The Obama's To Create "Higher Ground"

Last week Netflix announced they have signed a multi-year contract with Barack and Michelle Obama to create and produce content for the nearly 175 million subscribers to Netflix.

The Obama's say they're "excited."

Here's why conservatives should be informed.

Former President Obama told the press, “One of the simple joys of our time in public service was getting to meet so many fascinating people from all walks of life, and to help them share their experiences with a wider audience. That’s why Michelle and I are so excited to partner with Netflix – we hope to cultivate and curate the talented, inspiring, creative voices who are able to promote greater empathy and understanding between peoples, and help them share their stories with the entire world.”

Michelle said, “Barack and I have always believed in the power of storytelling to inspire us, to make us think differently about the world around us, and to help us open our minds and hearts to others. Netflix’s unparalleled service is a natural fit for the kinds of stories we want to share, and we look forward to starting this exciting new partnership.”

The Obama's "public service" has indeed involved meeting many fascinating people in their career.

Most remember that Barack's political career was launched in the home of domestic terrorist Bill Ayers who, according to the FBI, founded the "Weather Underground" in 1969---a group that was responsible for many bombings of government buildings during those years. Ayers later became a professor at the University of Illinois, passing his ideology along to the next generation.

And of course the Obama's pastor for 20 years, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, who infamously invoked God's damnation on America from his pulpit. Often.

However, this is different, because the Obama's have moved on---at least in their relationships, if not in their core beliefs.

Far Left Progressives stick together most of the time.

Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos is celebrating Barack and Michelle as "among the world's most respected and highly recognized public figures."

He said, "We are incredibly proud they have chosen to make Netflix the home for their formidable storytelling abilities."

Earlier this week, at his rally in Tennessee, President Trump called on people to elect Republicans, because he said he needed a few more votes to get his agenda---his campaign promises, done.

He noted that "Democrats in Congress always stick together in their voting" suggesting that Republicans don't.

This Obama deal is living proof that far Left progressives also stick together even when they're not in Congress.

And speaking of sticking together: Susan Rice, Obama's former national security adviser and ambassador to the United Nations, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of Netflix.

Sarandos is a former fundraising bundler for candidate Obama.

What Sarandos failed to mention to the press---and the mainstream press failed to report, even though they know it, is that Sarandos and his wife have long been donors and friends to the Obamas, having raised more than a half million dollars as bundlers for the president's campaign in 2012. His wife, Nicole Avant, also was appointed by Obama as ambassador to the Bahamas, serving from 2009 to 2011.

Avant's father, Clarence, a music executive, also bundled nearly $450,000 for Obama's presidential campaigns.

"Bundling" is a slick maneuver that politicians---most all politicians, do which makes it difficult to impossible to really know where the money is actually coming from---of course the bundlers know who the donors are.

The Obamas have formed "Higher Ground Productions LLC" as their new production company.

While that name invokes memories for some of us who sang a song titled "Higher Ground" as kids in church, the "higher ground" we sang about is not the "higher ground" the Obamas have in mind---but they certainly are "pressing on" even if it isn't the true "upward way."

The NY Post says the Obamas received a $65 million advance the first of their upcoming books. Due out in November-- Michelle's book titled, "Becoming." The Post says Barack takes home about $400,000 per speech.

The upward way for the Obamas, according to the New York Post, is financially and ideologically.

Netflix says the Obamas will be producing stories that "promote greater empathy and understanding between peoples and help them share their stories with the world."

Barack Obama's recent speeches across the country give an indication of what the content of the productions will look like. His speeches have been centered on "grassroots organizing," the "problems of the poor" and undermining the conservative agenda---in particular, President Trump's agenda.

At one time during the last couple years of Obama's presidency, I thought he would likely vie for Sec. General---the head position--- of the United Nations because that would serve his ego and provide a platform to advance his personal agenda---in particular, "Globalism."

But this provides an even greater podium for advancing community organizing, social justice, globalism and opposing the conservative agenda of Trump and those who voted for him.

Besides, the pay scale for this is much higher than merely leading the United Nations.

He can come back to that later. I believe he will.

The Obama "Higher Ground" productions will not only be available to the 175 million subscribers of Netflix but to millions more through the support of the press and other Internet opportunities.

The essence of these productions, regardless of title or subject matter, will focus on advancing Obama's progressive, relativistic, globalist worldview.

Eric Metaxas has said, "The logical conclusion of relativism is absurdity. Nonsense. A worldview that undermines its own premises."

The "Higher Ground" productions will in one way or another be a face-off with conservative, traditional, biblical Judeo-Christian values.

And they will be very well produced. And compelling.

Francis Schaeffer said, "As Christians, we must see that just because an artist---even a great artist---portrays a world-view in writing or on canvas, it does not mean that we should automatically accept that world-view. Good art heightens the impact of that worldview, but it does not make it true."
