Planned Parenthood's "Money Laundering Scheme"

Lila Rose, head of the pro-life organization "Live Action," has issued a report this week, detailing how Planned Parenthood actually launders money to help elect pro-abortion politicians.

This mid-term election is no exception.

Be informed.

The Live Action report says, "And every cycle, Planned Parenthood's political arms...spend millions of dollars in campaign contributions, independent expenditures, and the recruitment of election workers to get pro-abortion politicians elected to office."

"These politicians, in turn," the report reads, "ensure that Planned Parenthood continues to receive over half a billion dollars in federal and state funding from taxpayers every year---almost 40% of Planned Parenthood's budget."

The report reveals that PP's political arms are spending about $20 million to defeat pro-life candidates, plus $30 million in consortium with other groups.

The report says:

"While Planned Parenthood and its political arms are separate on paper, because taxpayers are forced to give the abortion chain over $500 million a year, donors are freed up to direct their money to Planned Parenthood's political agenda rather than fund what nominal health services Planned Parenthood itself provides."

In a statement released Tuesday, Rose said that "Planned Parenthood is weaponizing the taxpayer's own money against them."

She said, "The corrupt bargain between Planned Parenthood and pro-abortion politicians must end. It's paid for by taxpayers and with the lives of over 320,000 preborn children every year."

Continuing, she said, "Congress and the president must fulfill their promise to de-fund Planned Parenthood of all taxpayer dollars. American taxpayers should not be in the abortion business, nor should they be subsidizing campaign contributions to any politician to keep them in office."

I agree. I think the president would agree as well.

He promised during his campaign he would de-fund Planned Parenthood. He also promised to build a wall to secure our southern border.

In both cases, a Republican-controlled House and Senate have not been helpful to him.

While he has established an impressive list of "promises kept," he needs help. Speaker of the House Paul Ryan (and several others) have certainly not been helpful to the president. In spite of Ryan and others lack of support, Trump was able to cut $50-60 million in taxpayer funds to the abortion company.

Last year, Planned Parenthood aggressively tried to convince the public that they spend no taxpayer dollars on abortions, defending the funding they receive from the federal government which primarily comes through Medicaid reimbursements.

PP said, "If politicians out to de-fund Planned Parenthood have their way, they will block millions of patients who depend on Medicaid and other healthcare programs from accessing care at Planned Parenthood health centers."

Apparently too many "politicians"---including some Republicans---are believing the lie. De-funding PP would lack compassion. It would not be the Christian thing to do.

And it would be "racist."

PP also told the public, "Many Planned Parenthood patients---nearly half of whom are people of color, and many of whom live in rural areas---would have nowhere else to turn for health care. We won't let that happen."

That too, is a lie. Studies done by Right to Life and other pro-life organizations show there are adequate numbers of health care clinics across the country that are not Planned Parenthood.

The National Review published an article titled, "If Planned Parenthood Goes Where Will Women Go?" I strongly recommend you review it.

And regarding racism...Their founder Margaret Sanger is best known for her eugenicist beliefs. She wrote that the way to weed out non-productive or undesirables in society was through eugenics, and she clearly saw blacks in that category, causing she and her sister to open their first "clinic" in Brooklyn---a clinic that would become the first Planned Parenthood clinic.

Each year PP gives the Margaret Sanger Award to the person whom they feel has contributed the most to their abortion industry. Recipients have included John D. Rockefeller III, Jane Fonda, Hillary Clinton (2009) and Nancy Pelosi (2014).

This year, I think the award should go to Congress.
