US House of Representatives Strike God From Oath

Update: Due to pressure from some Republicans and many Christians, Nancy Pelosi's Democratic Party has decided to allow God to remain in the oath...for now.

While New York's Governor Cuomo wages war on unborn children made in the image and likeness of God---Nancy Pelosi's US House of Representatives are striking God from the oath witnesses take before giving testimony.

Be informed.

Striking God politically.

Nancy Pelosi's Democrat-controlled US House of Representatives is moving this week to eliminate the reference to God from the oath administered to witnesses testifying before the panel, as part of a new rules package expected to be approved this week.

The draft shows that the House Committee on Natural Resources would ask witnesses to recite the following:
"Do you solemnly swear or affirm, under penalty of law, that the testimony that you are about to give is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth?"

The draft also removes the phrase "his or her" throughout the document.

And it revises the document to remove the use of the word "chairman," to be replaced by the word "chair."

Interestingly, the document also expands the committee's authority over natural gas in Alaska and fossil-fuel resources---which are considered by many of us to be part of God's Creation.

Everyone expects the revision to be approved. It will take effect immediately.

This strike at "God" is not the first.

Fox says:
"The proposed change was not the first time Democrats have sought to strike references to God in official party documents. In 2012, the floor of the Democratic National Convention erupted over a sudden move to restore to the platform a reference to God and recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital---after heavy criticism from Republicans for initially omitting them."

A large and loud group shouted, "No," as the convention chairman called for a vote. In fact he had to call for several votes before he could declare the "ayes" have it.

Many in the crowd booed following the declaration.

It's pretty safe to say, the Democratic Party is not fond of God.

Republican reaction.

Republican leaders reacted saying it is a further sign of the Democratic Party's leftward shift."

House Republican Conference Chairwoman Liz Cheney said, "It's incredible, but not surprising that the Democrats would try to remove God from committee proceedings in one of their first acts in the majority."

Cheney said, "They really have become the party of Karl Marx."

So true. On so many levels. The mark of Marx is all over the Democratic Party, particularly the incoming far left progressive freshman class of Democratic public servants, including Muslims Michigan Rep, Rashida Tlaib and Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar.

Example: Omar has written, "Israel has hypnotized the world, may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel."

Tlaib was engaged in anti-Semitic comments earlier this month by suggesting Republican politicians were truly loyal to Israel, not the United States.

Striking God morally.

Earlier this week I wrote about the unbelievable action taken by New York Governor Andrew Cuomo for his recent expansion of abortion. In New York abortion is now available on demand until a second before birth.

Many of us were stunned by his willingness to sign the far Left immoral bill into law, then celebrate by lighting buildings and bridges, including the World Trade Center building, in pink.

Franklin Graham was one of many who were stunned by this attack on unborn children made in the image and likeness of God.

Franklin is urging Cardinal Timothy Dolan to take a strong moral stand against Cuomo. Some are calling for his church to excommunicate him.

One bishop says, "This vote is so hideous and vile that it warrants the act"---referring to excommunication.

Dolan says he doesn't want to excommunicate Cuomo, it would just provide "ammunition" for the abortion lobby.

Franklin called Dolan out with this on social media:

"The Catholic Church is discussing as to whether Gov. Cuomo should be excommunicated from the church for signing the state's new abortion bill. This law allows for the murder of unborn children up until the day of their birth. I call on my friend Cardinal Dolan to take a moral stand. Whether it moves the governor's calloused heart or not, it will have a great impact on not only the church in New York, but on the church worldwide. It's about standing for right over wrong, good over evil."

It's sad to see people who profess to be Christians---Gov. Cuomo, Nancy Pelosi, and a long line of other politicians and even religious leaders, who affirm these kinds of anti-God actions.

God's Response.

In Romans chapter 1, God responds to the insanity of removing Him from human experience.

Verse 18: "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the Truth...continuing the Word of the Lord explains that we are "without excuse" because He has revealed Himself to all mankind" through Creation.
Verse 21: "Because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened."
Verse 22: "Professing to be wise, they became fools."

As Tucked Carlson appropriately put it in his new book, "We are sailing with a ship of fools."
