Mueller's Monumental Message

After more than 600 days, $20 million taxpayer dollars, 22 months of snarly Left wing hopefuls on the news shows, longing for impeachment, imprisonment, even execution (remember comedian) it all ended this weekend, not with a bang, but a whimper.

After 2,800 subpoenas, 500 witness interviews, 34 people charged with various misdeeds and a number of private lives destroyed in the process, Mueller's Monumental Message:

Be informed.

"No Collusion." "No Obstruction."

The message delivered.

Wearing a black puffer coat, carrying a plain manila envelope, a woman made the delivery look so unassuming that the reporters crowded in the hallways of the Rayburn House Office Building didn't even notice her as she walked past them.

Without being noticed, the woman delivered the official monumental message to Congress on Friday that the Mueller investigation is over.

An investigation that had been birthed illegitimately by former FBI Director James Comey, who leaked classified meeting notes to the media in order to manipulate the creation of a special counsel, setting off a chain of events to hamstring the new Administration, and hopefully bring down the President, reversing the will of the American people.

Upon receiving the envelope, Attorney General Barr began to go over it to ensure there was no classified information or anything protected by executive privilege before sharing with Congress members--- so they can immediately leak it to the press.

Not since election night have the far Left news channels suffered such anxiety---even melt down, anticipating that finally they would put the White House in manacles and that finally, Mueller, who was the White Knight of the Left, would deliver the final fatal blow to a President that nobody wants---except for the 63 million Americans who voted him into office.

The monumental message.

Yesterday morning, Attorney General William Barr sent Congress a letter summarizing the findings of the Special Counsel Robert Mueller's report into the 2016 presidential election.

Mueller found that there was no collusion between President Trump's campaign and the Russian government, "Despite several efforts by the Russian government or it's intermediaries to do so."

Barr notes that Mueller's investigation included information from 13 foreign governments and 500 witnesses.

It says:

The Special Counsel found that Russian government actors successfully hacked into computers and obtained emails from persons affiliated with the Clinton campaign and Democratic Party organizations, and publicly disseminated those materials through various intermediaries, including WikiLeaks. Based on these activities, The Special Counsel brought charges against a number of Russian military officers for conspiring to hack into computers in the United States for purposes of influencing the election. But as noted above, the Special Counsel did not find that the Trump campaign, or anyone associated with it, conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in these efforts, despite multiple offers from Russian-affiliated individuals to assist the Trump campaign.

Barr says that after consulting Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, "the evidence developed during the Special Counsel's investigation is not sufficient to establish that President Trump committed an obstruction-of-justice offense."

The Response

Not surprisingly, President Trump was happy. I told you I didn't collude, and I didn't obstruct.

He tweeted, then made a statement before boarding Air Force One:

“No Collusion, No Obstruction, Complete and Total EXONERATION. KEEP AMERICA GREAT!”

Donald J. Trump

 @realDonaldTrump

No Collusion, No Obstruction, Complete and Total EXONERATION. KEEP AMERICA GREAT!

Before boarding Air Force One he said this:
“So after a long look, after a long investigation, after so many people have been so badly hurt, after not looking at the other side where a lot of bad things, a lot of horrible things happened, a lot of very bad things happened for our country, it was just announced there was no collusion with Russia, the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard,” he said.

“There was no collusion with Russia. There was no obstruction and none whatsoever. And it was a complete and total exoneration. It’s a shame our country had to go through this,” the President noted.

He's right, they did indeed take a "long look." During the 22 month investigation, the Special Counsel also used 19 lawyers who were assisted by a team of 40 FBI agents and assistants.

Later in the day when President Trump returned to Washington DC, he said: "America is the greatest place on earth."

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said, "President Trump was right about the Russia investigation."

He said he appreciates Barr's goal of "producing as much information as possible" from Mueller's investigation, but declined to call for the report's full release.

He also warned America that Russia's ongoing efforts to interfere in US institutions "are dangerous and disturbing."

Sen. Lindsey Graham, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, said it was a "Good day for the rule of law. Great day for President Trump and his team. No collusion and no obstruction. The cloud hanging over President Trump has been removed by this report."

He also chided those who were hoping Mueller's report would drive the President from office---"Bad day for those hoping the Mueller investigation would take President Trump down."

Yeah, it was a bad day for them.

Top Democrats Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer immediately began an attack on AG Barr, saying he is "not a neutral observer" urging the "full release" of the report.

Both know the report likely contains information that cannot be released due to national security.

Some of the 2020 presidential hopefuls joined the chorus. Sen Kamala Harris says Barr "must testify before Congress; Elizabeth Warren says Trump "hand-picked Barr" (Presidents always "hand pick their nominees and appointees); Sen Corey Booker says "the public" deserves the full report, and Sen Kirsten Gillibrand says, "Trump works for the people, and he is not above the law."

That's what the Mueller investigation was about. Holding elected officials accountable.

Last night, House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy said: "It is time we move on for the good of the country."

Sadly, for most far Left progressives, it's not about the "good of the country," it's about advancing a secular agenda that will "remake America."

And sadly for America, the Left will deal with their anxiety over this failure to bring Trump down in much the same way Hillary is still trying to come to grips with her loss.

In conclusion, I quote Mike Huckabee on this matter:

It all really grew out of two things:

1. The Trump campaign, being political neophytes, didn’t know all the arcane rules and potential landmines. They were so vilified by the media that political pros didn’t want to work with them, so they made some bad hires. And they didn’t know that if you got an offer of some damaging dirt on your opponent, you don’t let your top people take the (perfectly legal) meeting. You send some underling you can throw under the bus.
Lesson: Be like Hillary and get someone else to pay the Russians for oppo dirt, using money you launder through your campaign’s law firm. That’s the acceptable, ethical Washington way!
2. The Democrats to this day are unwilling or unable to accept that they lost the 2016 election fair and square. It wasn’t the Russians or the Electoral College that did them in. They put up an arrogant, unlikable candidate with more baggage than a 747, running on a platform of extending policies that were great for growing ISIS but terrible for growing the economy. Rather than face the fact that voters rejected their failed policies, they deluded themselves by inventing an elaborate hoax conspiracy as an excuse, and their media enablers repeated it until they all believed it themselves. Now, even after the Mueller investigation has ended with no top-level indictments, they’re going to keep doubling down on it until they descend into madness and irrelevancy.
Lesson: Never fall for your own propaganda.

The investigation is over---not with a bang, but with a whimper.

Be Informed. Be Discerning. Be Vigilant. Be Prayerful.
