"Climate Change" Traumatizing Teens

A new Washington Post/ Kaiser Foundation national survey has found that more than half---52%---of teens say they "fear climate change" and are "angered by not enough action against the 'man-made' crisis."

This is a direct result of alarmism in public education, media, and entertainment. And now, politics.

However, NOAA's new improved system to accurately measure the Earth's surface temperature shows there has been no warming in the United States over the past 14 years, and raw data readings at preexisting stations show no warming over the last 80 years.

Be informed.

Traumatized teens.

The Washington Post
reports that 57% of teenagers who responded to their national survey--a large percentage of the survey from kids who will be eligible to vote by the 2020 presidential election-- have been influenced to act on their fears and participate in political activism. Most have joined the climate-change movement.

The survey found that most teenagers are convinced that man-made pollutants are destroying the Earth by warming the climate to conditions they claim will soon be uninhabitable.

That is traumatic.

The Post story begins:
"In a coastal town in Washington State, climate change has a high school junior worried about the floods that keep deluging his school. A 17-year-old from Texas says global warming scares him so much he can't even think about it."

Across the country, 16-year-old Madeline Graham, from Maryland, told the Post that she's convinced that the US must spend trillions of dollars to fight climate change. She said, "Fear is a commodity we don't have time for if we're going to win this fight."

She is organizing a student protest this week.

The WAPO poll also shows that approximately 1 in 7 teens have engaged in walkouts, attended rallies or written elected officials to voice their concerns about global warming.

Participation will likely increase this weekend as a worldwide demonstration against climate change is scheduled ahead of the UN climate summit in New York.

Associated Press said yesterday:
"Hundreds of thousands of people are expected to join worldwide demonstrations this week..." reporting that European countries are up for the event with at least 200 environmental and church youth groups participating in the demonstrations.

The Seattle Times said that the Seattle school board had a heated exchange--pun intended-- with the city council over whether students who walk out of class today to demonstrate against global warming will be given an excused absence.

New "green" celebrities.

The protests today are at least partly inspired by the activism of Swedish teenager Greta Thunberg, who has staged weekly demonstrations under the heading, "Fridays for Future," over the past year. She's been taking lawmakers to task for not doing more. The press, of course, has published her every word of wisdom.

In fact, Greta was joined by Seattle native Jamie Margolin testifying before the US House Committee on Foreign Affairs and Select Committee on the Climate Crises on Wednesday.

The Seattle native and now celebrity Thunberg told the lawmakers that climate "crisis" is directly linked to colonialism and slavery.

The emperor has no clothes. Many of the public servants nodded and expressed shared concern, promising to put the full strength of America behind solving this imminent crisis.

Jamie told the lawmakers that her generation lives with constant "fear and despair" due to the climate crisis and added that climate change is "directly linked to colonialism, slavery and natural resource extraction."

She said, "I want the entirety of Congress---in fact, the whole US government---to remember the fear and despair that my generation lives with every day, and I want you to hold on to it."

"Solving the climate crises," she said, "goes against everything that our country was unfortunately built on---colonialism, slavery, and natural resource extraction. This is why the youth are calling for a new era altogether." She added that she would like her generation to be known as the GND, for "Green New Deal," rather than "Generation Z."

And this she said "has to happen within the next 10 years, which is the deadline to save life as we know it."

Later she said, "And right now something that has been disturbing me a lot is seeing the way we are trying to colonize and buy and sell our way out of a problem caused by colonization and buying and selling."

She urged Congress and the United States to listen to "indigenous protectors" in Latin America, urging us to not perpetuate the same systems of oppression that they have been pushing them down."

When she grows up or takes an un-revised history lesson, she will discover that we are not oppressing or pushing down anyone. America has blessed and lifted up more people more often than any country in the history of the world.

There are also some grownup green celebrities.

Ocasio-Cortez, one of the few not running for president at the moment, has distinguished herself with her "Green New deal" and some Soros money propelling her to national prominence.

Bernie Sanders has said "amen" to Ocasio-Cortez's green plan, along with every other Democrat candidate campaigning to be the next president of the United States.

Here's the problem. NOAA says the Earth's surface is not warming.

I wrote an article about the latest NOAA statements on surface warming a couple of weeks ago. I would encourage you to read it. It is well-sourced.

The "existential threat" that has been foisted on our kids and our country is based on faulty temperature readings.

NOAA has installed a new measuring system.

The former temperature measuring stations have been known to be faulty. Every data read is "adjusted" to compensate for the errors. In every case, the adjustments were made to either increase the surface temperature or decrease previous readings.

Most of these old stations were near airports with large concrete runways, etc., city centers with large buildings or other structures that hold heat and distort the readings.

NOAA installed 114 pristinely maintained temperature stations across the US in 2005. Since that time there has been no increase in surface temperatures in the United States.

The "Green" movement has filled the intelligent vacuum.

The "Green" movement has become a religion.

Today, Christians are watching as the world turns in a direction that is increasingly and strangely alien to our way of thinking.

The "Green Movement" is only one of the latest attempts to create a religion around a fear. The Apostle Paul understood that the day would come when mankind would so lose their spiritual and intellectual moorings, they would believe a lie.

Secularism has thrown out the idea of a providential God and has adopted a new form of religion, centered around environmentalism. It sees human beings, not God, as the most powerful force in the world. Those who are said to be polluting the Earth are sinners, "ecologically illiterate" and must be saved through education and action.

Paul describes this in Romans chapter one:

"Because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things."
"Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen."

Be Informed. Be Discerning. Be Vigilant. Be Faithful. Be Prayerful.

  1. Natural Resource extraction - all of humanity from the beginning have sustained and grown by using natural resources. God so instructed us to do so. Any country that has tried to prosper without a natural resource basis has ultimately failed. Japan has been attempting this since ww2 and is now falling apart. I followed a mass histaria like this in the late 60ies. But that wave was fortunately short lived. Spending 47 years working in the natural resources field and studying history of rise and fall of nations related to natural resources, as well as over 30 years intense Bible study, I now firmly understand that yes we are to be good stewards, but this earthly condition IS NOT human caused. Science proclaims man has contributed at the most 9%. This current histaria is indeed based upon denial of God and supremacy of man. So if we get into this trap, we'll bankrupt nations and move back to hunter gatherer status. That's ultimate resource extraction, as well as starvation for the majority. The only alternative is to live and work under God's direction trusting in Him.

  2. It's the Marxist Socialist's propaganda. They will use anything, and lie about it all. The scary part is how so many people get duped into voting for them. I guess they feel so confident because they see it working. It is coming to it's end.
