Crusade Against Kavanaugh --CH 2

One year ago, the media and the so-called "progressives" hurled their stones at Brett Kavanaugh in a crusade to destroy him, his reputation, and his family in their attempt to keep him from sitting on the United States Supreme Court.

They failed.

Chapter 2 of the crusade is now underway.

The motives and methods are very revealing.

Be informed.

Chapter 1.

Jarred Stepman, writing for the Heritage Foundation yesterday said: "One year ago, the media did their dirty work in dragging Brett Kavanaugh's reputation through the mud."

Now they're back at it again.

Two weeks ago I wrote that the real motive behind the crusade against Kavanaugh was really about abortion ---Roe v Wade, not whether Kavanaugh is qualified to serve on the High Court.

We noted that Debra Katz, Kavanaugh accuser Christine Blasey Ford's attorney, let a little truth see the light of day. While speaking at a legal conference at the University of Baltimore, she said this:

"In the aftermath of these hearings [last year's] I believe that Christine's testimony brought about more good than the harm misogynist Republicans caused by allowing Kavanaugh on the Court. He will always have an asterisk next to his name. When he takes the scalpel to Roe v Wade, we will know who he is, we will know his character, and we will know what motivates him, and that is important; it is important that we know, and that is part of what motivated Christine."

Katz was clearly caught up in the moment of like minds in her audience or she would have never admitted what most of us already knew.

It's all about abortion on demand.

Conservatives got hold of the speech and it went viral---around the world on the Internet.

Katz's words proved to be an embarrassment for abortion crusaders, and for her professionally.

Now we know that the Left is not really about ruling according to the Constitution. It's all about activism--expanding abortion to even include infanticide in some cases of botched abortions.

To add insult to injury, Christine Blasey Ford's father came out and said he never really believed his daughter's testimony.

Things seemed to be going from bad to worse for the anti-Kavanaugh crusaders.

Chapter 2.

Yesterday, a new book---"The Education of Brett Kavanaugh: An Investigation" was released.

Prior to the book's release on Sunday, The New York Times galloped in to lead the new crusade. They published a new allegation against Brett Kavanaugh based on the new forthcoming book---"The Education of Brett Kavanaugh"---in which the "new" accusation details an event where a then classmate of Kavanaugh's supposedly says he saw Kavanaugh with his pants down at a drunken dorm party. The Times, quoting the "book", reports that friends pushed Kavanaugh's genitals into the hand of a girl.

The classmate, quoted in the book by the New York Times--- and now in the general media is Max Stier.

The Times' story is lengthy and very detailed.

NBC immediately ran a leading story based on the New York Times story. NBC declared:
"Some Democrats call for Kavanaugh impeachment over new sexual misconduct claims"---then quoted the most visceral, angry Democrats, mostly presidential candidates, looking for some way to get into the news cycle for that day."

"Impeach him," they screamed. "We cannot have immoral people in our Court."

Other lesser light newspapers copied the NBC story and ran it in their next publication. Local TV network affiliates, always looking for a free story---and the bonus of something negative about pro-life, pro-marriage or pro-Trump people, to run on their evening news. You've seen it. "BREAKING NEWS" flashing on the screen.

Here's the problem:

The Times omitted critical pieces of information. The alleged victim refused to be interviewed by the Times, and her friends are saying she does not recall the incident.

It gets worse. Here's what Fox News said:

The New York Times suddenly made a major revision to a supposed bombshell piece late Sunday concerning a resurfaced allegation of sexual assault by Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh — hours after virtually all 2020 Democratic presidential candidates had cited the original article as a reason to impeach Kavanaugh.
The update included the significant detail that several friends of the alleged victim, Harmon Joyce, said she did not recall the purported sexual assault in question at all. The Times also stated for the first time that the alleged victim refused to be interviewed, and has made no other comment about the episode.
The only firsthand account concerning the supposed attack in the original piece, which was published on Saturday, came from a Clinton-connected lawyer who claimed to have witnessed it. (The lawyer, Max Stier, did not actually provide his account directly; the Times acknowledged that "two officials who have communicated with Mr. Stier" had relayed his supposed version of events).

There is another part the Times failed to disclose:

Interestingly, Max Stier had a long personal rivalry with Kavanaugh, having served as a defense attorney for President Clinton during the Monica Lewinsky ordeal. Kavanaugh worked on the opposing side under Ken Starr during the Clinton impeachment.

Fox News continues:

The Times' revision says: "Editors' Note: An earlier version of this article, which was adapted from a forthcoming book, did not include one element of the book's account regarding an assertion by a Yale classmate that friends of Brett Kavanaugh pushed his penis into the hand of a female student at a drunken dorm party. The book reports that the female student declined to be interviewed and friends say that she does not recall the incident. That information has been added to the article."
Even after the revision, the Times' story still does not mention a separate revelation in the book that Leland Keyser, the friend of Christine Blasey Ford who was allegedly at the party where Kavanaugh supposedly assaulted her, had specifically rejected Ford's claims. Previously, through her attorney, Keyser had said only that she was "unable to corroborate it because she has no recollection of the incident in question.”

The takeaway.

The Left has been unable to get control through the election process. They also know Americans would likely vote against their abortion agenda if it went to a vote of the people.

The Left is now looking to the Highest Court in the land to hand them their political victories. There are those on the Court who would be happy to serve them, but with Kavanaugh, the balance of the Court has tilted toward "constitutionalism" rather than activism.

The media is standing by to publish and broadcast every possible tale that might bring down Kavanaugh.

And this is only the beginning. Can you imagine what will take place if President Trump has another opportunity to nominate yet another person to the Supreme Court?

This crusade against Kavanaugh is not about justice, fairness, and rightly interpreting the Constitution.

It's all about advancing a far-Left agenda---in this case advancing abortion. It's about creating a Court of far-Left activists like Obama nominated.

The largest media organizations in our country are clearly committed to doing whatever it takes to "remake" America into the image of far-Left secular progressivism.

Pray for America. Pray for the President.

Be Informed. Be Discerning. Be Vigilant. Be Prayerful.
