Jesus and Mary-- A Form of "White Supremacy"

Many of us have known for some time that Black Lives Matter (BLM) was not really about better school choices, or better jobs, or better opportunities for blacks or reducing the number of aborted black babies. If that were true, they would support Trump, who has done more economically for blacks than any president since Lincoln. And is solidly pro-life.

As the sounds of broken glass, the smells of burning buildings, cars and their tires wisp across the cities of America, the war on our institutions has now established a new front line.

Shaun King a BLM influencer, is calling for Jesus and Mary statues to be removed because they too are a product of "White Supremacy."

Be informed, but not misled.

Is nothing sacred?

Left-wing activist, Shaun King, is calling for the removal of statues that depict Jesus as a "white European" calling it a form of "white supremacy."

King, who was a surrogate on Bernie Sander's 2020 presidential campaign, wrote on Twitter, "They are a form of white supremacy. Always have been."

He continued in a second tweet:
"All murals and stained glass windows of white Jesus, and his European mother, and their white friends should also come down. They are a gross form of white supremacy."

What about the world-famous Statue of Christ overlooking the city of Rio? It's made from white materials.

King also noted that "In the Bible, when the family of Jesus wanted to hide and to blend in, guess where they went? EGYPT! Not Denmark. Tear them down."

King is an influencer in the BLM movement.

Like the little kid in the backseat of the car on a road trip, "Are we there yet?"

How far will this be allowed to go?

And why is no one stopping this expanding mob rule? I understand why radical left Democrats won't, because these folks are part of their "community." At least on election day.

Mayor Jenny Durkan has smiled and celebrated the now-infamous "CHOP" area on Seattle's Capitol Hill, calling it a "summer of love."

After two separate shootings with one dead and 2 or more injured in the radical left occupied zone, the mayor is now suggesting perhaps she should incrementally begin to shut it down.

Good luck with that. After terrorizing the city, burning, breaking, looting, and finally occupying---I doubt they will salute and say, "Yes your honor, we'll be gone by sundown."

Yesterday President Trump made a move to reign this mob rule in, by declaring an executive order and invoking the "Veteran's Memorial Preservation Act" or "other such laws that may be pertinent" with penalties for destroying these properties of up to 10 years in prison

But where are the other Republican actions? We hear the words of some of them, but the action is absent for the most part. And, we must remember in fairness, city and state governments with Republican leadership are not generally among the cities that are burning.

Jarrett Stepman published an excellent article yesterday about how "mob rule" is taking over our country. I have included some of his remarks with my own in the following.

Stepman notes that the New York Times has had a significant influence by virtue of their Pulitzer Prize-winning "1619 Project," which is now finding its way into k-12 curriculum around the country.

The "1619 Project" essentially rewrites the history of America as a country built on the cornerstone of slavery, rather than Abraham Lincoln or Frederick Douglass' view that America was conceived in liberty, but existed alongside an institution at odds with the principles of its creation.

Stepman believes "the ethos of the 1619 Project is being used to animate mob violence and destruction in this country."

I think he's right. Some are calling the riots, the "1619 riots," because they are based on the false storyline the Times has created, declaring that America was not founded in 1776, but in 1619 when the first slave ship arrived in the harbor in Jamestown, America's first town.

But why has no one of authority attempted to stop mob rule in America?

Whatever their demand, authorities from Seattle to New York have submissively bowed a knee. If fact most politicians seem eager to meet the demands---will that include getting rid of Jesus? And Mary? And murals and stained glass?

Mob rule is the path through anarchy to tyranny.

Speaking of Lincoln. And insight.

A 29-year-old Abraham Lincoln gave an address to the Young Men's Lyceum of Springfield, Ill. The address, that has become known as the Lyceum Address spoke to how America could perpetuate our institutions. And how they could fall.

He talked at length about the greatness of our institutions, how they are built on God-ordained principles, by a generation of people---our Founders---and are created for the purpose of serving the ends of civil and religious liberty. More so than any nation in history.

Lincoln asked what could threaten and bring down a country such as ours; Then answered his own question with this:

"I answer, if it ever reach us, it must spring up amongst us. It cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our lot, we must ourselves be the author and finisher. As a nation of freemen , we must live through all time, or die by suicide."

To preserve the God-ordained principles and values of our institutions---our nation itself---Lincoln would later be willing to go to war over the intrinsic value of personal freedom. Ultimately losing his own life for his beliefs.

One man cannot own another man.

Once again, anarchy is threatening to submerge our constitutional system. And it is from within.

The radical left politicians and the press, are bowing their knee to anarchy.

Are there elected leaders among us who are willing to step forward and save the republic?

Identify them. And vote for them. America is being weighed in the balances.

What's happening in our country is not a political contest over ideas. It is a war over whether we will continue to be a civilized nation or if we will continue to devolve into tyranny.

Our times are chaotic and unstable. The Prophet Isaiah spoke to this (33:6):

"Wisdom and knowledge will be the stability of your times. And the strength of salvation; The fear of the Lord is His treasure."
