I love Rick! He's not afraid to say he'll bring God's laws into the White House and serve The Lord first, then the country. He's not afraid to say that public education is evil, it's just indoctrination especially at the college level. People become snobs and stop believing in Christianity when they've been educated, so we shouldn't promote higher education. He's not afraid to say all birth control is bad. Go Rick! He has my vote!

Of course it was rescinded, the pols voted it in and the people voted it out, its going to the USSC and the 9th district will be overturned, which will be a victory for of the people, by the people, and for the people of California and beyond. Deliberate on that:)

Quick note:

Many on both sides of the Prop 8 issue misunderstand it. The ruling is only about a state where:

1) all citizens have a right to marry regardless of the sex of their spouse,
2) all such citizens once were all able to license the same contract titled 'Marriage'.
3) that equal access was rescinded, saying some marriable citizens may license one contract and the rest must license another although both contracts are equal in their access to state statutes.

The federal court ruled that saying some citizens must now use a different contract after all citizens being able to use the same is unconstitutional because such a mere word distinction between married citizens could only be fueled by animus.

So those in the know aren't afraid of the US Supreme Court - the ruling in actually is a 'no duh!' level of constitutional infraction - you can't after the fact subdivide people into two groups that used to be one when the two groups are otherwise identical other than the label you put on them.

But since California is the only state where all citizens have the right to marry regardless of the sex of their spouse and at one time all such citizens licensed the same contract titled 'Marriage', the ruling would only affect California.

The confusion regarding the AG's actions are a testimony to how he is influenced by others in regard to political expediency and how he seemingly views the responsibility of his office.

By this I must remind all that when the initial law suit was filed regarding National Health care by several state in 2010, the AG stood against his office position and the governor to join the law suit. Now this was not of his own doing but under the pressure of several of Wa States strong Constitutional Conservative. It can be argued that since this was a "Federal" bill, the AG was safe to engage in a suit contrary to the beliefs of the governor.

Yet, the AG could argue that this is a State issue and that he must support the governor in her pursuit to again force her immorality on every citizen through legislation and the courts. For the AG one would hope that the moral inconsistency that he is exhibiting in standing against the federal legislation that incorporates "Plan B" and yet supports it at the state level would keep a moral man up at night.

Our Founders established or form of governance for a moral and virtuous people. Such that the rule of law would have consistencies. Yet, the States have the capacity to establish stronger positions than the Fed but can NEVER obviate the moral definitions of an individual Citizen. Hence the protection of ones religious conscience, self expression and many other God given Rights protected in both the federal and state Constitutions.

It seems that we have those in governance that are willing to trample Rights for the implementation of practices that cater to the few and are willing to obviate the core foundations of what established this nation, allowing it to rise to greatness through the blessings of God.

Just like laws against murder are supported by Robertson , just because he aggrees with someone that gay marriage is wrong does not make traditional marriage wrong . If suddenly you wanted murder laws changed to allow them to changed based on a view that some hold but not others , would you not expect a debate on the issue ? I really see the issue itself hardly ever debated .

Moms and dads important to a family or not to where the mom and dad deserve special emphasis and recognition from the state . Since religious believers divorce about the same rate as non believers , I don't see the whole religious argument myself . But I do see moms and dads deserving recognition and I see mariage as a means to that .
