Cruz To Dorsey: "Who The (Expletive) Elected You...?"

Republican Texas Senator Ted Cruz teed off on social media yesterday, asking Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey who elected him to be in charge of what the media are allowed to report and what the American people are allowed to hear?

Cruz said, "Why do you persist in behaving as a Democrat super PAC, silencing views to the contrary of your political beliefs?"

The Senator also called Facebook and Google to account for their censoring conservative messages---particularly and most recently the New York Post story about the Biden family business of selling influence to China, Russia, Ukraine, and other foreign countries.

Be informed, not misled.

A day of reckoning? I hope so.

Clearly, Sen. Cruz caught Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey flatfooted with his straight talk and direct questions. Questions that all Americans are, or should be asking themselves.

Continuing, Cruz asked the Twitter CEO, "Why did Twitter make the decision to censor the New York Post?"

Since the New York Post story exposed the depth and width of the Biden family corruption found on a laptop Hunter Biden left in a local repair shop, the mainstream media, the Democrat Party, and social media have aligned to censor the story.

The Biden family "business" has been further exposed by Tony Bobulinski, the former CEO of their company.

Tuesday evening Fox's Tucker Carlson committed his entire program to an interview with Tony Bobulinski, the former CEO of the corporation the Biden family set up to receive tens of millions of dollars from Chinese President Ye and other Communist operatives who were wanting to buy Joe Biden's influence.

This is a stunning and informative interview. It's 17 minutes and 6 seconds. I know you have a lot to do, but please watch it. And then share it with someone you think should also see it.

The mainstream media and social media have censored and buried the story so the Biden's can claim it's all false---which they're doing.

The difference between news media and social media.

By censoring stories they don't agree with, the mainstream media stands to lose their credibility, lose viewers, and ultimately lose their revenue. And they can be sued for liable and slander, because they "create content."

Internet-driven social media companies cannot be sued because of a special exemption the government gave them in their early days of development. Theoretically, they do not create content---they merely deliver other people's content. However, now that social media--- Twitter, Facebook, Google, and others--- have become the most powerful voices on earth because of the government's "exceptional" treatment, they are playing the role of "Masters of the Universe."

All print newspapers have become dependent on the internet to expand their readership and their revenue stream.

So Cruz is mad. So are other true conservatives. You should be too. It's a direct attack on free speech.

Senator Cruz then turned to the logic of why Twitter is censoring the New York Post---creating a virtual blackout on some of the most consequential news in our nation today.

Dorsey tried to patronize Cruz with,

"We have a hacked materials policy...limiting the spread of materials that are hacked. We didn't want Twitter to be a distributor of hacked materials. We found that the New York Post, because it showed the direct materials ...[and] it was unclear how those were obtained, that it fell under this policy."

Cruz responded,

"They weren't hiding what they claimed to be the source. Is that your position that Twitter, when you can't tell the source, blocks press stories?"

Dorsey protested: "No, not at all. Our team made a fast decision."

Cruz didn't buy it, pointing that as late as yesterday, the New York Post account was still blocked.

It's still blocked this morning, as well.

Then Cruz said this:

"Mr Dorsey, I find your opening answers absurd on their face. Let's talk about the last two weeks in particular. As you know, I have long been concerned about Twitter's pattern of censoring and silencing individual Americans with whom Twitter disagrees. Two weeks ago, Twitter made the unilateral decision to censor the New York Post in a series of two blockbuster articles, both alleging evidence of corruption against Joe Biden, the first concerning Ukraine, the second concerning Communist China."

Cruz noted:

"The New York Post isn't just some random guy tweeting. The New York Post has the fourth-highest circulation of any newspaper in America. The New York Post is 200 years old. The New York Post was founded by Alexander Hamilton. And your position is that you can sit in Silicon Valley and that you can tell them what stories they can publish and you can tell the American people what reporting they can hear, is that right?"

And then the Senator said this:

"The media must genuflect and obey your dictates if they wish to be able to communicate with readers, is that right?"

Meanwhile, the press continues to blackout the story of Biden's corruption, while the corruption story widens and deepens.

And for Dorsey, Zuckerberg, and the other billionaire CEOs, it's another day at the office, knocking down stories that do not advance the far-Left socialist agenda of the people who will really be running America should Biden get elected President of the United States.

The takeaway.

Speaking of Alexander Hamilton and his founding of the New York Post: As the first secretary of the US Treasury, he built the foundations of our national banking system and wielded more power in the earliest years of American democracy than any man other than George Washington.

Yet unlike Washington and Jefferson, Hamilton never realized his dream to become president.

His New York Post was first published on November 16, 1801, under the name, "Evening Post", but would soon be called the, "New York Post."

From its earliest editions, it covered stories that mattered without bias, including the death of Hamilton's own son Phillip, who at 19 was killed in a duel.

They would again write at the dueling death of Alexander himself, "The scene was enough to melt a monument of marble" as Hamilton was laid to rest near Trinity Church.

But it was, as described in the stage play "Hamilton," the published account of Hamilton's affair with married Maria Reynolds and his blackmail payments to her husband that historians say cost him ever becoming president.

In their 219 year history, the New York Post continues to report the news.

Whether the Post's breaking story of the Biden family corruption will cause Joe's dream of becoming president to slip away remains to be seen.

One thing is certain, Big Tech is doing all they can to carry him into the Oval Office.
