"The Devil Went Down to Georgia"...Along with Mark Zuckerberg

The Mark Zuckerberg-funded Center for Technology and Civic Life (CTCL) announced Tuesday it will provide additional "safe elections" grants to county election departments in Georgia in advance of the two most important Senate run-off elections in recent history on January 5, 2021.

They're important because control of the US Senate hangs in the balance.

As Zuckerberg offered his millions to provide a "safe" election in Georgia, the late Charlie Daniels' song came to mind: "The Devil Went Down To Georgia"... "He was lookin' for a soul to steal, He was in a bind, 'Cause he was way behind, And he was willin' to make a deal."

Be informed, not misled.

The song, written by Charlie and the Charlie Daniels' Band, was released in 1979 and was an instant hit. It continues to be, because of its message.

Charlie, the best country "fiddler" of all time, often told people: "This song I wrote is supposed to be a light- hearted novelty about a fiddling contest between a country boy and the devil, and the devil always loses."

If the boy won the fiddling contest, the devil promised him a pure gold fiddle, if the boy lost, the devil got his soul.

If you're not familiar with the song, the devil lost: "The devil bowed his head, Because he knew that he'd been beat, And laid that golden fiddle on the ground at Johnny's feet."

How can the multi-million dollar run-off elections end well, with far-Left Zuckerberg passing out money to assist in "safe-guarding" the election?

Because control of the US Senate hangs in the balance of this run-off election, millions are being spent to influence the outcome.

Ultimately, hundreds of millions of dollars are expected to be spent in what would normally be a local election.

The election is between incumbent Sen. David Perdue (R-GA) and democrat challenger Jon Ossoff, and incumbent Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R-GA), and Democrat challenger Raphael Warnock.

An announcement from Zuckerberg's "Center for Technology and Civic Life" (CTCL) says Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan, donated $350 million to CTCL for its "safe elections" project---and now he's going down to Georgia to help out.

Most clear-eyed folks in Georgia see this as simply nothing more than a Democrat-get-out-the-Vote effort disguised as a charitable good government gift that will have the effect of a partisan SuperPAC.

Zuckerberg has a track record in Georgia.

Breitbart reported a few days ago that "Between September 1, 2020, and October 30, 2020, the CTCL contributed more than $16.6 million for 'safe elections' in six Georgia counties."

All six counties voted for Hillary Clinton in 2016. Based on currently available public reports, it appears that no Georgia county that voted for Trump in 2016 received any money from CTCL in 2020.

Most of Joe Biden's 221,751 vote margin gain in Georgia, compared to Hillary Clinton's performance in 2016, came from three metropolitan Atlanta counties that received more than $15 million from Zuckerberg's CTCL "safe elections" project.

Those three counties---Cobb, Fulton, and Gwinnett---accounted for 168,703 of Biden's 221,751 vote margin gain, or 76%.

The "web" is trying to take control.

Former Barack Obama campaign manager David Plouffe served as head of policy and advocacy for the Chan-Zuckerberg Initiative (CZI) project from 2017 to October 2019. He stepped back from that day to day position into a new part-time role as a strategist in residence to help guide the organization's ongoing issues-based policy work.

Plouffe is continuing in leadership in both Zuckerberg organizations---CZI and CTCL.

Plouffe is also the author of "A Citizen's Guide to Beating Donald Trump," a book published by Viking in March 2020. Phil Kline, director of the Amistad Project of the Thomas More Society, says:

"If Zuckerberg wants to operate a shadow government he needs to release all communications between he and David Plouffe regarding their grand scheme...and all their communications with government officials in elected offices that they have funded in the 2020 election."

And he said:

"Zuckerberg needs to also order the employees that he pays to open the door to the process in which the votes are counted. We've got a billionaire in the counting room and the American people are not being allowed in."

"Oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive."

Sir Walter Scott wrote those now-famous words in his epic poem, "Marmion: A Tale of Flodden Field."

The poem tells of a forged letter, treason, a dishonest nun, exonerating facts being passed behind the scenes---with an ultimate exoneration on the battlefield---Flodden Field--- with De Wilton displaying heroism, regaining his honor, retrieving his lands, and marrying Clare, the woman he loves.

We'll see how this Georgia election---that will affect every American citizen in that the Senate hangs in the balance---plays out over the coming weeks.

Now that Zuckerberg and a few of his colleagues have created the tech giants that are the most powerful and amplified voices in the world, they "practice" to use their "web" to deceive.

Takeaway.

In his farewell address, George Washington reminded Americans---then and now--

"There is a Destiny which has the control of our actions, not to be resisted by the strongest efforts of human nature."

God is a God of purpose.

Exodus 9:16 says:

"But I have raised you up for this very purpose, that I might show you my power and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth."

Pharaoh mistakenly thought he was in control. However, God had put him where he was for God's own purposes---God uses people even those who resist Him are often used in peculiar ways to bring about God's purposes.

The Bible says in Job 42:2:

"I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted."

God is in control.
