Opening Congressional Prayer Defines Deception Of The Left

House Democrat Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-Mo.) ---an ordained Christian minister---was asked to open the 117th Congress on Sunday with the traditional prayer.

His prayer puts light on the biblical ignorance of the so-called "religious left" while giving us a view of what America, our faith, and our freedom could look like under full Democrat control.

Newly re-elected Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and her Rules Committee for the 117th Congress have also revealed her new House rules that will "honor all gender identities" by eliminating specific terms such as mother and father, son and daughter, and aunt and uncle, permitting elected officials to only use gender-neutral terms.

Sen Chuck Schumer says if they win the Senate today in Georgia, the "Equality Act" will be passed into law in the first 100 days.

Franklin Graham says: "If progressives rule, we won't even recognize this nation."

Be informed, not misled.

The spiritual soul of the progressive.

Offering a prayer at the opening of our United States 117th Congress Sunday, Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-Mo)---also an ordained Christian minister---prayed that the "Lord lift up the light of his countenance upon us and give us peace---peace in our families, peace across this land, and dare I ask, O Lord, peace even in this chamber."

Ending his prayer, he said, "We ask in the name of the monotheistic God, Brahma, and 'God' known by many names by many different faiths. Amen and awoman."

Amen and awoman?

While trying to be enlightened and inclusive, he became the fool---suggesting there is "no one true God."

The "pastor" politician apparently doesn't know that "Amen" is not a gendered word. The word from the original Hebrew means "so be it."

So what could "awoman" possibly mean?

Whether his failing attempt at fitting in with the "progressives" is due to his ignorance or to rebellion, I don't know. God, the true and living God, knows his heart.

However, I do know that this kind of a "form of godliness" is denying the power of the gospel and will destroy this nation that was founded on Judeo-Christian principles and beliefs.

I also know, according to the earliest historical records, that people have tried to use a "form of godliness" to twist God's Word to accommodate their own agenda---beginning with Satan's claim to Eve that God is "good" but doesn't really mean what He says.

Nancy Pelosi's new Catechism.

In the spirit of Cleaver's prayer, Speaker Pelosi has introduced new House rules that will "honor all gender identities by eliminating specific terms such as mother and father, son and daughter, and aunt and uncle."

Instead, only gender-neutral terms such as "parent," "child," sibling," and "parent's sibling" will be allowed in the text of congressional rules.

When she introduced her new catechism, she called the rules "future-focused," defending them as "the most inclusive in history."

I'm certain she has a made-up Bible verse to support her new future-focused theology.

Franklin Graham sounds the trumpet.

Franklin said on Twitter Sunday, "Can you believe that they actually propose to strike the use of words including father, mother, son, aunt, uncle & wife?"

He says this new "gender-inclusive language" in the House of Representatives threatens the most fundamental human relationships," saying they are actually trying  "to enshrine what they call gender-inclusive language."

"These proposed changes will be voted on soon," he says, adding, "God created them male & female (Genesis 1:27). It's just a fact."

And Franklin said, "If those claiming the name progressive are allowed to have their own way, we won't even recognize this nation in a very short time."

Republican Representative Tom Cole (R-OK) called Pelosi's catechism "a blatant and cowardly assault on the voices and views of the Republican minority" as well as "a dark day for the preservation of free and thoughtful debate."

Sen. Chuck Schumer, who will replace Republican Mitch McConnell should the Democrats take control of the Senate today, and Joe Biden are running on a parallel track with Pelosi.

Biden's promise.

Democrat victories in the Georgia Senate runoff elections today would allow Joe Biden---depending on what happens in regard to the electoral presidential votes scheduled to be presented to Congress tomorrow-- to keep his promise to "sign the 'Equality Act' into law during his first 100 days in office."

Sen. Chuck Schumer, who has vowed to move the "progressive agenda" forward if the Democrats take control, is promising to make it happen for Biden.

The Equality Act issue has been restrained because the Republicans have held the Senate.

The legislation has been lying in wait in Congress for some time. It's purpose, the progressives say, "is to prohibit discrimination on the basis of sex, gender identity, and sexual orientation, and for all other purposes."

If enacted, the bill would essentially codify gender ideology into federal law.

Even some feminists and lesbians have joined Christians and conservatives in opposing the proposed law, saying it's dangerous legislation that will do anything but create equality. In fact, the lesbians and feminists say it would force American women to relinquish their rights to privacy, safety, and the ability to compete in sports equally."

The biblical Christians agree but have taken their stand against the legislation on the basis of God's  Truth.

Joe Biden has often expressed his unfailing support for the legislation regardless of what anybody thinks about it. In fact, he has said, "transgender equality is the civil rights issue of our time."

Standing in the wings hoping to become a handmaid to a Biden administration, Elizabeth Warren has said, "Black trans and cis women, gender non-conforming, and nonbinary people are the backbones of our democracy."

She also has said she is a Native, indigenous Indian also, but I think she really believes this regarding the "backbone of our democracy."

America hangs in the balance in Georgia today.

But know this:  There is a God who created all things---male and female, borders and language and nations for His purposes. And ultimately He is in control.

God's promise

I don't believe there are any real political solutions to the great division in our country, because the divide is not primarily political. It's a spiritual problem.

We must be informed. We, as Christians, must also be involved in the civic and political discourse in our country

But here's the bottom line.

Representative and pastor Rev. Emanuel Cleaver's prayer in Congress was nothing more than words to his like-minded peers.

Read this as though you have never heard or read it before.

God's promise: "If my people, which are called by My Name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land" (II Chronicles 7:14).

Be Informed. Be Prayerful. Be Faithful.  Be Engaged.
