ABOUT FAITH & FREEDOM

Kamala's Last Words Must Be Heard

In her concession speech, Harris rallied her supporters. “Keep fighting,” she told the crowd at her alma mater, Howard University, the historically Black school. “While I concede this election, I do not concede the fight that fueled this campaign, the fight for freedom, for opportunity, for fairness and the dignity of all people, a fight for the ideals at the heart of our nation, the ideals that reflect America at our best. That is a fight I will never give up.”

We must continue to fight for the "ideals at the heart of our nation."

The church must define to an uninformed generation what exactly she and the Left's ideals are.

While more than half the country exhales a sigh of relief that Trump, not Harris, is our next president, we must continue to be vigilant. Very vigilant.

The fight is not finished; it has just begun.

Be informed, not misled.

Emma Hinchliffe from Fortune wrote of Harris's concession speech, "Seemingly by design, Harris didn’t offer much closure on this race. Instead, she told supporters to 'roll up [their] sleeves;' Harris herself is only 60, and could continue working to counter the effects of the Trump administration. 'Don’t ever give up,'” she said.

When the Democrat Party tires of fighting and blaming each other over who is at fault for their embarrassingly miserable failure in the election, they will return to what they call "the fight."

Much has been said about national unity. That would be wonderful. However, the battle in America is a newer version of an older war.

Instead of fighting to free slaves, we are fighting over which worldview will take precedence in our culture.

Politics is merely the vehicle.

The biblical worldview led us to fight the most deadly war in our national history to free the slaves because Christianity teaches that "no man can own another man."

Freedom is a right from God to be protected by the government.

Secular progressives create what they claim to be "rights" based on their secular humanist worldview, then demand the government protect those rights.

In one view, true rights come from God and the Bible. In the other, rights come from human consensus.

One is rooted in eternal Truth, the other in generational social whims and relativism.

Founding Father Patrick Henry explained why Freedom for all religions in America exists.

He said, "It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions, but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For this very reason, peoples of other faiths have been afforded asylum, prosperity, and freedom of worship here."

John Adams, also a Founding Father and second president, explained how America functions and what could cause it to fail: "We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge, or gallantry, would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made only for moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."

And Adams said: "Statesmen, my dear Sir, may plan and speculate for Liberty, but it is Religion and Morality alone, which can establish the Principles upon which Freedom can securely stand."

God has given America a reprieve. A time to restore and reclaim the strengths that truly made America Great.

It is those strengths that the Leftist Marxist movement in our country fights to destroy.

They work to devalue the sanctity of life by calling abortion "a right"-- "women's health care" rather than the murdering of unwanted unborn children that it is. The institution of marriage between one man and one woman, designed by God Himself, has been under attack because homosexuals claim to have a right to "marry" whom they love.

And too many Christian churches affirm their claims.

The LGBTQIA+ movement is a movement against nature and nature's God, the Creator.

The "trans" movement puts a fist in the face of God, claiming He is in error. They claim there are not two genders---male and female--- there are many genders, and we have a right to be fluid in our gender.

Instead of helping the misguided among us, the Left fights to rewrite the Constitution, reorder the natural order, and remove religion---especially Christianity, from our social discourse.

They constantly abuse God-given parental rights to secretly advance the trans movement.

This is the "fight" Kamala Harris is promising our sons and daughters she will continue to fight.

The overseers of her political rise and fall will be working hand in hand to advance these "ideals," not those upon which this country was founded and thrived.

No Unity Without A Reckoning

Yesterday, John Daniel Davidson wrote an article for The Federalist titled "After Trump’s Victory, There Can Be No Unity Without A Reckoning."

I recommend you read it.

Davidson begins with this:

Back in July after the first Trump assassination attempt, I wrote that there can be no national unity, no burying the hatchet or cooling the rhetoric with people who have been encouraging political violence and pushing assassination prep for years. You can’t smack someone in the face with a hammer and then insist everyone calm down.

Trump’s election victory doesn’t change that. Those in the news media who spent years calling Trump a fascist and comparing him to Hitler, claiming he represents a threat to democracy and that he’ll use his presidential powers to go after his enemies, should not be forgiven. Their lies and nonstop propaganda should not be forgotten. No one should ever take them seriously again. When they try to engage the public square, they should either be ignored entirely or met with a wall of mockery and derision. They are enemies of the American people, whom they openly despise, and there can be no real unity with them no matter what they might say in the future.

The writer then redresses all the ways that the Left has attempted to destroy Trump, his policies, and the common values and "ideals" that we as a nation have held since our founding.

He says America was lied to: "Legacy media outlets, the polling industry, the Democrat-funded nonprofits, and the academics and activists who run them have all now been exposed as cogs in a giant propaganda machine. Kamala Harris was never ahead. She never had a chance of winning. There was no “joy.” She wasn’t “brat.” She didn’t even win the Democrat Party nomination, it was handed to her in a backroom deal. She isn’t relatable or cool, she’s the most cringey and fake person ever to run for president. Corporate media and the Democrats ran a massive psy-op on the American people to make them believe something that wasn’t true. And it failed. We should never forget that these people will say anything for the sake of power, so we should never trust them again."

He says, "Before we ever achieve anything like unity in America again, there must be a reckoning and there must be justice. Without those things, the divisions in our country won’t be able to heal."

Takeaway

Davidson says, "To achieve real and lasting unity, we’ll need a counter-revolution in America, a re-founding of the country. That in turn will require a conversion of the American people and a return to the ideals, principles, and way of life that made our republic possible in the first place."

I agree. It will require a "conversion" of many Americans to return to the ideals and principles—the way of life held by our Founding Fathers.

And generations that followed.

The conversion begins at the foot of the cross of Jesus Christ.

The Church, not the politicians, must lead this reconciliation. Politics will follow spiritual Restoration.

To the degree that we reconcile ourselves with God, we will reconcile ourselves to one another.

I believe God has given us a reprieve because I believe Trump will, as he has done previously as president, strongly support the Christian Church.

It's up to us what we do with this God-given opportunity to restore America.

I'm filled with hope, and you should be too.
