"Outrage": A Tool Of The Left.

A New York City Police Department (NYPD) captain just lost his command for trashing Mayor Zohran Mamdani on camera.

Capt. James G. Wilson, a 20-year veteran of the force, was stripped of his post as second-in-command at the 94th Precinct in Greenpoint and reassigned to the NYPD’s 911 communications hub in The Bronx, the New York Post (NYP) reported.

People are already getting sick and tired of socialism. It has never succeeded, and it never will, because it is not designed for freedom. It's designed to put people in bondage to a hierarchy.

Be informed, not misled.

The New York Post says, "An NYPD captain who was transferred to a less desirable role after being caught on video bashing NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani as 'an embarrassment' has become a veritable folk hero with an army of supporters backing him for speaking his mind about the radical socialist."

They also say, "Republican pols and other high-ranking conservatives are now taking up Capt. James G. Wilson’s cause, and defending his Constitutional rights. The department’s decision to ship Wilson from the 94th Precinct in Brooklyn – where he served as the second-highest officer for the Greenpoint station house – to the NYPD’s 911 call center in The Bronx is the latest example of City Hall having two sets of rules: one for far-left comrades and another for everyone else."

The confrontation

Wilson made the remarks during a heated late May 2 demonstration outside Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Bushwick, where activists gathered after immigration agents brought an illegal Nigerian migrant in for medical care, the NYP reported. As protesters goaded him about the mayor, Wilson smirked and called Mamdani “total nonsense” and “an embarrassment,” declared “Not my mayor,” and dismissed all Democrats as a “waste of the human race.”

“He’s expendable, he’s temporary,” Wilson said in the video, as protesters egg him on by pointing out that Mamdani is his boss.

An NYPD spokesperson said Wilson remains on active duty after his transfer to the Bronx.

The captain’s disciplinary process remains ongoing, the spokesperson said.

The transfer drew swift backlash, as you can imagine.

Two different rules: One for me, and one for thee.

Mamdani’s track record shows that he doesn’t believe in police work. He wants to defund them. Understandably, they don't like him.

The Daily Caller notes that “If Capt. Wilson had said something negative about Donald Trump, he’d probably be declared a hero and get a medal and a dinner at Gracie Mansion,” Councilwoman Joann Ariola told the NYP. “But since he spoke out against Dear Leader Mamdani, the manufactured outrage machine is kicking into gear, and the radicals are coming out of the woodwork to silence all public dissent,” she added. Council Minority Leader David Carr said the speech rule “sure as [expletive] isn’t enforced fairly or consistently.”

The NYPD’s Administrative Guide bars officers on duty from publicly endorsing candidates or voicing personal views about any political party, candidate, public election matter, or pending legislation without the police commissioner’s permission.

Retired NYPD Chief of Detectives Bob Boyce offered a different read on the rule. “That uniform makes you the spokesman for the police department when you say it, and there’s the issue there,” Boyce told ABC7, New York.

Why is a cop different than anyone else? He has First Amendment rights.

He was out there doing his job, and he was being recorded. That’s their First Amendment right, but what about his First Amendment rights?”

Lawyers representing firebrand Councilwoman Vickie Paladino (R-Queens) in her free-speech lawsuit have also contended Republicans and Dems get treated differently at City Hall.

Paladino faces potential censure over alleged Islamophobic remarks, but her lawyers say some of her Democratic colleagues have a history of raging without consequence against white people and painting their enemies — including President Trump, Republicans, and NYPD cops — as “white supremacists” and “racists.”

That's true. It happens all the time.

There is a double standard in which the Left and the Leftist news media evaluate Christians and conservatives.

Takeaway

There is an old proverb: Show me who you associate with, and I’ll tell you who you are.

By that measure, luminaries of the far left told us exactly who they are in a primary election in Michigan.

Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed (D), and Reps. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) and Summer Lee (D-Pa.) chose to share a campaign stage with the extremist influencer Hasan Piker, who has said that “America deserved 9/11” and that he “hates this [expletive] country so much.” Tlaib told Piker, “You’re always welcome here” in Michigan.

Via The Hill:

These Democrats aren’t alone. Others, such as Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.), and the former Obama staffers at Pod Save America have also cozied up to Piker, hoping to appeal to the young voters who watch his radical Twitch streams. Democratic leaders are content to remain silent about Piker’s growing influence, even as they rush to moralize about extremism and hate on the right.

Some Democrats have pushed back, including primary opponents of El-Sayed. Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D-N.J.) said of Piker, “His voice should have no place in our political discourse, and all elected officials should condemn his rhetoric.” Democratic leaders appear not to agree.

Last year, USA Today published an op-ed with a headline that read, "Double standards? Media did Biden's bidding. Now they freak out over Trump."

The weekend before President Donald Trump’s second inauguration, “Saturday Night Live’s” cold open featured a fictional panel of progressive MSNBC journalists. At numerous intervals, their commentary was interrupted by breaking news alerts about any minor thing Trump had said or posted on social media.

It’s funny because it’s true. It also highlights a troubling double standard within the legacy news media.

Two recent revelations offer examples of just how disparately the media approached covering former President Joe Biden – and how it once again covers Trump.

When it came to Biden, too many journalists tossed their curiosity out the window, accepting whatever came out of the White House as truth.

Can you imagine the outrage that would follow if journalists sought to do the same with Trump? The same standard should apply, regardless of who is president.

The media also worked in lockstep to tamp down the possibility that COVID-19 could have originated in a lab. That’s because it was Trump and other Republicans who expressed their concern about a lab leak.

So, they were painted as kooky conspiracy theorists by the media.

It turns out Trump and Co. were right. An increasing number of experts now say a lab leak is the likely origin of the global pandemic.

It's becoming increasingly difficult to discern what is true and what is not in our collapsing culture.

Now more than ever, we need to be informed and prayerful.

Be Informed. Be Discerning. Be Vigilant. Be Bold. Be Prayerful.
