The Lie That Won't Die

I was shocked, but not surprised, when on Saturday evening, while watching the news on a network-affiliated TV station, I heard the anchor recap how ICE  took a five-year-old away from his father and held the child in custody.

And this was after the event they were supposedly reporting upon had been clearly debunked.

It was after most informed people in America knew the true story behind the five-year-old.

This incident is a glaring reveal of just how cauculated and deceptive the news media in America has become, because it was not only the news anchor I happened to be watching, but most of the so-called "legacy" news operations used their air time to do essentially the same thing.

Be informed, not misled.

Credit to the Department of Homeland Security and Vice President J.D. Vance for immediately calling out the lie regarding the five-year -old.

And yet, the headlines remain.

And some local news folks are doing their best to keep the story alive, while radical leftists labor to enshrine the lie into the minds of the public.

These are some of the headlines that continue to echo across the country.

  • Washington Post: “ICE detains four children from Minnesota school district, including a 5-year-old.”
  • New York Times: “Detention of 5-Year-Old by Federal Agents Incenses Minneapolis.”
  • CBS: “ICE takes 5-year-old boy and his father after using boy as ‘bait,’ school district says”
  • Axios "ICE's detention of child puts new focus on Trump team's tactics."

Axios continued with, "ICE agents' detention of a 5-year-old boy in Minneapolis this week has inflamed an already tense debate over immigration authorities' tactics — and put a spotlight on the unknown number of children being scooped up when their parents are arrested."

The Leftist "news business" never questioned the number of children who were snapped up by perverts during the Biden Administration. Who knows? No one even asked, except for journalists with conservative news organizations.

We do know that at least 320,000 children are still missing from the Biden years of open borders.

Where was the concern of the press in those days?

The echo chamber of lies.

The Federalist says, "It’s the same playbook whenever the dying media want to manipulate their audiences and turn public sentiment against a government policy they oppose. In this case, immigration law enforcement. They would have you believe that ICE snatched an adorable little boy out of preschool and marched him into the frigid air of a Minneapolis suburb."

They note that "A photo used by The New York Times and The Washington Post and displayed on cable news depicts as much. (To be extra sure, the Post then ran a column headlined “The abhorrent power of the photograph of a 5-year-old held by ICE.”) But, naturally, that’s not what happened.

ICE agents were attempting to detain Adrian Alexander Conejo Arias, an alleged illegal alien from Ecuador, who happened to be with his 5-year-old son, Liam Conejo Ramos, at the time of the encounter, according to DHS. When Arias noticed the authorities, he took to his heels, leaving his son behind, though he was ultimately caught.

Not that I’d trust the well-being of any child at all with someone who works in the dying media, but perhaps they should tell us what they believe federal agents should do when faced with a minor whose guardian has just run away. Even if it’s not the media’s genuine wish, the only answer should be: Take the child so that he’s safe.

Though ICE attempted to place the child into the custody of his alleged mother at home, according to DHS, she refused, and so he was paired back with his father in detention.

This is a story about a man who allegedly broke the law and then put his son in danger by fleeing authorities. Instead, we get narratives from The New York Times, which opened its own article on the incident by writing, “A 5-year-old boy wearing a Spider-Man backpack and an oversized hat was detained with his father by immigration authorities on Tuesday.”

"An oversized hat," you say? The president must stop this cruelty at once!

They oppose immigration law enforcement, so they look for any and every opportunity to deceive. Their audiences would do themselves a service by skipping over any coverage on the subject.

I believe the American "legacy" media is deceptive to the core.

They use their power to deceive and destroy. Not to inform.

Takeaway

This story went viral after Rep. Ilhan Omar (D_MN) posted a local news article in which the Colombia Heights Schools Superintendent Zena Stenvik suggested ICE took custody of a five-year -old boy who was being driven to school by his illegal alien father.

Public servant Omar wrote on her post, "ICE just detained a 5-year-old child. Don't tell us about' the worst of the worst'. That's a lie. Absolutely vile."

Many of you reading this article already know what really happened.

The father was in the US illegally. When ICE made contact with him, he ran, with no thought for his now-famous five-year-old son.

Not only is the father illegal and lawless, but he is also derelict in his role as a father.

Would you run to save your own hide and leave your 5-year-old child to fend for his or her self?

I didn't think so. Neither would I.
