Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich told New York's WABC radio Sunday that the upcoming 2020 election "is the most sobering since 1864" when Abraham Lincoln ran for reelection.
Newt says, "Had Lincoln lost, the South would have seceded," and thus, "slavery would have survived."
In 2020, the head of faith and freedom has been put in the guillotine and the radical far-Left is trying desperately to drop the blade.
Ironically, while Biden reportedly leads in most polls, a majority of Americans disagree with most of what his far-Left political allies are saying and doing. And planning to do.
Pelosi, in an attempt to draw attention to herself, pulled back the curtain this week. I'll tell you what's backstage.
The trial or "hearing" on Amy Coney Barrett is now underway and is amplifying the deep divide in America.
Be informed, not misled.
2020--The most sobering choice since Lincoln.
Newt Gingrich rightly says if Biden wins, the Democrats are going to have him "sit in a corner" and let his vice presidential pick Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) and "her fellow radical left-wing radicals govern the country."
Newt says: "All the left wants is power."
He says,
"If Lincoln had lost, the South would have seceded. Slavery would have survived. And the Union would have been ended. And we are [now] in a similar situation with people who do not like America, want to replace America, are committed to profoundly changing the world you and I live in. And would like to make us basically like California, where it's virtually impossible to defeat the machine in California because they've rigged the game so decisively."
I agree, should Biden be elected president, the people around him will destroy the institutions of America, thus destroying the America we know and love---while Biden wallows in the glory of achieving his lifelong goal to be President of the United States.
Pelosi's political stunt pulls back the curtain on the Left's real agenda.
Speaker Pelosi (D-CA), with much fanfare last week, introduced a bill that would facilitate removing a president from office should a bipartisan group of legislators agree that he or she was no longer capable of carrying out the duties of his position.
Although she noted that President Trump's recent bout with the coronavirus had prompted her to take these steps "for the sake of the country," her concern was not about Trump because he will soon be gone--- "It's about going forward," she said.
She blew it politically. What she intended for evil, conservatives are using for good. Their political good.
A Zogby survey conducted in June found a majority of likely voters (55%) thought it was more likely than not that "Biden is in the early stages of dementia..."
A Rasmussen poll in August showed 59% of likely voters believed that Biden's running mate will be president before the end of Biden's four-year term.
That was while Joe Biden was staying in his basement. Now that the public is beginning to see him in person, the belief is growing that he will very likely not be able to complete his four-year term.
Pelosi's stunt has back-fired. The public sees it for what it is.
Her bill formalizes a remedy allowed by the 25th Amendment to the Constitution to remove a sitting president.
But the president to be removed is not Trump, in her mind, it's Biden.
Her stunt provides for the radical Democrats to shove Biden aside and replace him with Vice President Kamala Harris.
Left-leaning Axios conducted a focus group of Democrats following the Pence-Harris debate last week.
People in the focus group were telling them that they don't think Biden could finish a 4-year term, so they were seeing Kamala Harris as president, not Biden.
Kamala Harris is rated the #1 most liberal senator in the Senate. Bernie Sanders is rated #2.
As a presidential candidate in the primaries, Harris couldn't even stay in the race until her home state, California, had voted. Her national support was little to nothing.
American Democrats didn't want her for president.
Why is Biden supposedly leading in almost all national polls when a majority of people don't think he will even be able to function for 4 years?
Pelosi's stunt has certainly turned the light toward Harris.
The American people not only reject Harris, but are also rejecting the Democrat position on Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett, but on "packing the Court" as well.
Is nominee Barrett too religious to serve on the Supreme Court?
Most of the Democrats grilling her in the hearing seem to think she is---and should be disqualified for that reason.
However, Rasmussen Reports has found in their survey that 73% of Americans reject that position and say religious faith should not be a determining factor.
Rasmussen found in a breakdown of the survey, 69% of Democrats oppose a religious litmus test for Supreme Court nominees, 79% of Republicans agree, as do 73% of unaffiliated voters.
How can these people and these positions be leading in all the polls?
Do Americans want "the Court to be packed" by the Democrats, should they win?
There's no question in my mind that Kamala Harris intends to see that happen if possible. During her failed primary campaign she said she had no problem with it. Biden refuses to tell the press if he's OK with it.
He has said, and I quote, "The public doesn't deserve to know until after the election. It would be a distraction."
It doesn't matter that much what he thinks because he won't really make the decision. Others will.
A Rasmussen Reports survey published last week found that only 32% favor increasing the number of justices on the Supreme Court---53% are opposed, and 14% don't know what they think about it.
The takeaway.
That is the highest number Gallup has ever recorded in their polling on that question at this point in a presidency.
At this point, President Obama was at 45%, President George W Bush was at 47%, and even in 1984, when President Reagan won 49 states in a landslide, at this point his number was 44%.
Make of it what you want. Those are the numbers.
Here's what I am absolutely sure of:
"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you; when you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; neither will the flame kindle upon you" (Is. 43:2).
God is over all, and is in control of all.
