"Silence in the Face of Evil, is Itself Evil."

Gary Bauer writes, "There is an old curse that says, 'May you live in interesting times.'” It turns out the curse isn’t Chinese after all, but it IS still a curse.

"Because none of us really wants to live in dangerous 'interesting times.'  That has been true for all of human history. Leading up to the American Revolution, many in the colonies wanted no part of a war with King George. The same in the 1850s with the strife over slavery.  Many Americans and Brits were in denial that Hitler meant what he said."

Uncle Sam may “want you!” but we usually want this cup to pass – to take our rest or enlist someone else in the fight.

Over the past decade, it has become clearer than ever that this is not an option.

Bauer was reflecting on a speech recently given to the pastors at Turning Point USA by Eric Metaxas.

"Marriage" May Be Revisited by the Supreme Court

Kim Davis, a courthouse clerk in Rowan County, Kentucky, got the memo but ignored it.

In January 2015, the Supreme Court ruled on Obergefell v. Hodges, legalizing same-sex marriage under the 14th Amendment.

We wrote about it here in this Faith and Freedom Daily column. And I talked about it on our daily radio program, "Straight Talk."

Well.

Davis, a Christian, was jailed for six days later that year after refusing to provide a marriage license for a same-sex couple.

Now Davis and Obergefell are back in the news.

Fairfax County Public School teachers have been helping students obtain abortions without the knowledge and consent of their parents, according to a whistleblower who recently exposed the scandal.

Now, the school district is claiming they just learned of the matter, even though the whistleblower, Centreville High School teacher Zenaida Perez, had brought it to their attention on multiple occasions.

Culling Embryos is a ‘Positive Moral Choice’?

Print Friendly Version of this pagePrint Get a PDF version of this webpagePDF

Mere weeks after the corporate media lost their minds over a playful “great genes jeans” ad, in vitro fertilization (IVF) connoisseur and Orchid CEO Noor Siddiqui used an interview with the New York Times’ Ross Douthat to argue that only humans with specific genes, those deemed acceptable, should get a chance at life outside of the womb.

Siddiqui concluded that using her technology to rank embryonic life based on their predisposition to roughly 1,200 diseases and conditions is good for potential parents and maybe even good for society. On the contrary, Orchid’s mission and Siddiqui’s description of it fall fatally short of moral muster.

The Coming AI Revolution: What’s at Stake for Morality, Privacy, Faith, and Freedom

Print Friendly Version of this pagePrint Get a PDF version of this webpagePDF

In an age when technology is advancing at an almost unimaginable pace, few figures have more influence over the future than Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI. His company’s products, like ChatGPT, are already reshaping the way millions of people learn, work, and interact. But behind the excitement over productivity gains and futuristic tools lies a set of deeper, more serious questions about morality, personal privacy, religion, government control, and the future of education.

Altman himself has been unusually candid about both the promise and the peril of artificial intelligence (AI). His comments offer a roadmap, not only of where AI might take us, but also of the values and freedoms we must fight to preserve.
