The Big Beautiful Parade

The press spent the day trying to find a dark angle on the big parade on Saturday.

It wasn't there.

While the "progressive Left" tried to convince our already informed nation that we should have "No Kings" in America, Americans who actually understand our form of government celebrated the 250th birthday of our United States Army.

That would be the first Continental Army that defeated the "King" who had his heel on our neck, causing us to declare war on that King and his armies.

And it was mentioned that it was also President Trump's birthday.

Even the forecasted rainstorms held off to give our nation a moment in the sunshine of God's blessings on our country.

Don't let the media mislead you.

It was a historic day.

 Be informed, not misled.

Matt Vespa wrote, "There was supposed to be a downpour in Washington, DC, Saturday. The weather held out long enough for the US Army to celebrate its 250th anniversary with a parade featuring tanks, numerous armored vehicles, and American soldiers donning uniforms throughout the history of our main fighting force. It was also President Trump’s birthday. Nationwide, leftist losers held their ‘No Kings’ protests, thinking this parade was for Trump. Only MSNBC viewers and deranged lunatics could fall for such drivel. It’s not North Korea. It’s not authoritarianism. It’s celebrating the birthday of the United States Army with its commander-in-chief in attendance. In short, liberals remain a sad contingent who need to get a hobby."

The media was hoping for a dark, sinister side of the Big Beautiful Parade to emerge.

It didn't happen.

The media was poised to publish their story about what went wrong with the parade. Instead, they had to settle for a prominent Republican who said he didn't like the parade.

Sen. Rand Paul had a problem with the parade.

I like Senator Rand Paul. And I agree with him most of the time. But I don't agree with his comments about the parade.

NBC says, "Kentucky Republican Sen. Rand Paul criticized the military parade backed by President Donald Trump, arguing the grand event was too expensive for the country and 'glorified' weapons."

The June 14 parade, featuring heavy tanks and thousands of troops parading through the streets of Washington, marked the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army, which coincidentally fell on Trump’s 79th birthday. Paul told NBC News’ Kristen Welker on “Meet the Press” that he “never liked the idea of the parade.”

“I grew up in the 70s and 80s, and the only parades I can remember are Soviet parades for the most part, or North Korean parades. And the parades I remember from our history were different,” he said, referencing the iconic photograph of a sailor kissing a woman in New York City’s Times Square at the end of World War II.

“We were rejoicing the end of war and we were rejoicing our soldiers coming home, and that absolutely ought to be commemorated…but we never glorified weapons so much. And I know he means well. I don't think he means for any of this to be depicted in another fashion, but I'm just not a big fan,” Paul added.

Paul also knocked the cost of the parade. “We're $2 trillion in the hole, and just an additional cost like this, I'm not for it,” he said.

An Army estimate for its commemoration totaled $40 million, USA TODAY previously reported.

According to the Association of the United States Army, the Army will spend $1.1 billion on marketing and advertising in 2025, a 10% increase from the previous year.

The Army has already exceeded its recruiting goals for 2025 in the first 5 months.

We will soon see an explosion of people joining the US Army as a result of the parade.

Sen. Paul is wrong on this one.

Patriotic Parade and Powerful Message

President Donald Trump’s celebration of the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary was one for the history books. What doubled as a 79th birthday celebration for the president, Trump marked the day as a reminder of the patriotic pride and reverence for the military that have defined his public life and the country. While Democrats spent the day protesting at “No Kings” rallies across the country on baseless accusations of authoritarianism, Trump chose to honor the men and women who sacrificed everything to defend Americans’ freedoms.

It was all smiles in the nation’s capital with the parade showcasing true American strength, unity, and heritage as historic Army regiments and cutting-edge equipment lined Pennsylvania Avenue. President Trump’s message was simple but strong: respect the flag, honor the troops, and never forget the values that have made the United States great.

The night began with President Trump, First Lady Melania Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and Second Lady Usha Vance saluting troops as the Star Spangled Banner played.

“No matter the risks, no matter the obstacles, our warriors will charge into battle... and they will seize the crown of victory because the United States of America will always have the grace of Almighty God and the IRON WILL OF THE UNITED STATES ARMY,” Trump said.

Trump’s message was clear and forceful: Any threat to the American people will be met with the full strength of the U.S. military, whose soldiers are relentless, unwavering, and victorious. He emphasized that American troops never give up, never surrender, and always win. The president praised the U.S. Army as the greatest, fiercest, and bravest fighting force in history, thanking them for protecting freedom, strengthening the nation, and making all Americans proud.

God bless America.
