Not a Pretty Sunset for the Biden Family

Dr. Kevin O’Connor made a house call last week, specifically to the House of Representatives.

O’Connor served as President Biden’s physician. The House Oversight Committee wanted to question O’Connor about whether Biden was fit to serve as president. So House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., issued a subpoena.

The doctor was in.

But not for very long.

Yesterday, the plot thickened in the Biden senility/autopen scandal.

A top aide subpoenaed to testify yesterday (Wednesday) in the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee’s investigations into the alleged cover-up of former President Joe Biden’s cognitive decline took the Fifth, just as Biden’s personal White House physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, did the week before.

Be informed, not misled.

Fox News reported:

After 20 minutes behind closed doors with Comer and company, the deposition concluded. Committee attorneys peppered Dr. O’Connor with questions about whether he thought former President Biden was up to the job and if he was asked to lie about the commander in chief’s health. But Comer got the same response each time. Even when committee lawyers posed a simple question, asking O’Connor if he understood the proceedings.

O’Connor deployed his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination each time. The committee even took the rare step of releasing a video from most of the deposition the same evening.

"Most people invoke the Fifth when they have criminal liability. And you know, that's what it would appear (to be) on the surface here," said Comer after the deposition concluded. "The American people have a right to know the health condition of the president. Both physical and mental."

Comer observed that O’Connor’s silence "adds more fuel to the fire that there was a cover-up."

Because of patient-doctor confidentiality, we may never know O’Connor’s true analysis of former President Biden. It’s a problem because the public deserves to know if the commander in chief is up to the job.

But there’s a special relationship between a patient and their doctor.

The question is whether issues of national security and the administration of government outweigh those private rights.

Nobody wants to talk.

The Federalist reports, "Anthony Bernal, former assistant to Biden and senior adviser to first lady Jill Biden — aka Jill Biden’s 'work husband' — reportedly dodged questions by the committee staff during the closed-door session, invoking his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination."

“This week new reporting confirms President Biden’s aides took unauthorized executive actions during his presidency amid his cognitive decline,” Comer said. “It’s no surprise that Anthony Bernal is pleading the Fifth Amendment to shield himself from criminal liability.”

Comer in the statement confirmed that Bernal, believed to be one of the Bidens’ most loyal aides, invoked the Fifth during his deposition when directly asked “if any unelected official or family members executed the duties of the President and if Joe Biden ever instructed him to lie about his health.”

“This is a historic scandal and Americans demand transparency and accountability,” the chairman added. “We will continue to pursue the truth on their behalf and examine options to get the answers we need.”

‘Corruption at the Highest Level’

But Biden’s inner circle is lawyering up and clamming up. The Times reported what the Oversight Committee knows all too well, that Biden administration officials have “enlisted a flight of white-shoe lawyers from around Washington.”

Some lawyers are said to have warned their clients not to talk publicly about the dangers of testifying because the Justice Department under Mr. Trump might be eager to bring perjury charges over any inconsistency, no matter how minor.

Byron Donalds, R-Fla., told reporters that investigators will need to intensify their efforts to uncover the truth. Donalds said the silent treatment from Biden’s former handlers is telling.

“The chairman is being nice. I don’t have to be. This is corruption at the highest level, because if you cannot, say, answer a simple question about Joe Biden’s capabilities, then that further demonstrates that he was not in charge of his administration,” he said.

Comer told reporters that he believes former Vice President Kamala Harris and Jill Biden should be compelled to testify.

Next up to answer questions under deposition is Annie Tomasini, former assistant to the president and deputy chief of staff, slated to appear before Oversight staff on Friday. Ron Klain, Biden’s former chief of staff, is set to appear on July 24.

Meanwhile, Sen. Ron Johnson, chairman of the Senate’s Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, in late May sent 28 former Biden Cabinet officials letters seeking answers on Biden’s “cognitive and health decline during his time in office and while running for re-election.” The list includes former Vice President Kamala Harris, Attorney General Merrick Garland, Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and several former White House aides who have been called by the House Committee.

Interestingly, the Times’ piece notes that the only clemency warrant that Biden signed with his own hand in late 2024 was the preemptive full pardon he granted his corrupt son, Hunter Biden

This is not the end of the Biden family's corrupted influence in America, but it may well be the beginning of the end.

Takeaway

The spirit of lawlessness in our country could be overwhelming. John wrote in 1 John 4:2-4:

"Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.  Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world."
