Turning the Spotlight on Islamic Terrorism

I often hear people ask, "Why are there never any real consequences for the barbaric acts of terrorism?"

Particularly Islamic terrorism?

There is now a move underway to bring justice to the terrorists.

Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita announced a probe into the Council on American-Islamic Relations and National Students for Justice in Palestine last Wednesday.

That was the third anniversary of Hamas’ Oct. 7 terror attack on Israel. Rokita demands that the groups hand over documents and communications related to their post-Oct. 7 actions and “records concerning the organizations’ ties to other groups and individuals with known connections to terrorists.”

There are also a number of other efforts to hold the terrorists responsible.

Be informed, not misled.

“Through unedited body-camera and security-camera footage from that horrible day, I have seen Hamas murdering unarmed civilians, including children, in their homes and in the street, and while visiting Israel I have seen the aftermath firsthand,” Rokita said. “October 7th is Israel’s 9/11, and just as most of the world stood with us on that day and afterward, the majority of my fellow Hoosiers stand with Israel and against the bigoted barbarity directed at Jews that still exists. As attorney general, I am investigating organizations that may have given aid and support to Hamas in the wake of the October 7 attack.”

The Indiana legislature paved the way for such investigations with a new law that came online in July. The bill authorizes Indiana’s attorney general to launch a civil investigation when he “has reasonable cause to believe a person or entity may be an affiliate of a foreign terrorist organization.”

The civil investigation is the first of four steps.

The Federalist reports, "Once the AG’s office concludes the civil investigation, he issues a 'written determination' of whether the organization under investigation is affiliated with foreign terrorist organizations. The organization has 30 days to respond. Indiana’s top law official then 'submits the final determination, supporting evidence, and the organization’s response to the governor,' currently Republican Mike Braun, who makes a final ruling on “whether to formally designate the entity as a terrorist affiliate.”

This is a difficult matter, because terrorists, especially Islamic terrorists, have turned our Constitution on its head and are actually using it against us and our freedoms as they perpetrate acts of terror.

And they have declared that Israel does not have the right to exist.

This is the first step:

“A designated affiliate is denied state funds, contracts, tax benefits, and other state privileges,” a press release announcing the investigation stated. “The demands issued to CAIR and SJP are the first step in the process by which the State will evaluate and determine whether a terrorist affiliate designation may be warranted for these organizations.”

The Hill reported, "On Oct. 7, 2023, Palestinian terror organization Hamas slaughtered roughly 1,200 people, including nearly 50 Americans. The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has officially condemned the attacks, but CAIR’s National Executive Director Nihad Awad asserted that “the people of Gaza have the right to self-defense, while Israel does not, in a speech that surfaced” several weeks after the attack."

Hamas Ally CAIR Has Operated With Impunity In America For 30-Plus Years.

CAIR’s documented Hamas ties and pro-Hamas activism go all the way back to its founding in 1994. It also has a history of working to censor critics of Islam and Islamic terrorism, including by smearing them as “Islamophobes.”

But things are changing, thanks to the Trump Administration's leadership.

Late last month, Florida finalized its designation of CAIR as a foreign terrorist organization, along with the Muslim Brotherhood and Antifa. Florida’s legislation cuts off designated groups from the aid of taxpayer-funded institutions and “creates state enforcement mechanisms and criminal penalties for providing material support to designated terrorist organizations.”

The Florida Executive Order says in part, "the Muslim Brotherhood's Islamist ideology is irreconcilable with foundational American principles of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness reflected in the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution, especially including the right to religious freedom and the equal protection of the laws."

Texas categorized CAIR and the Muslim Brotherhood as foreign terrorist organizations at the end of last year, with Gov. Greg Abbott citing the entities’ “goal” as “to forcibly impose Sharia law and establish Islam’s ‘mastership of the world.’”

This year, victims of the Oct. 7 attack “sued American Muslims for Palestine, National Students for Justice in Palestine, and others, alleging the groups aided and abetted Hamas,” as reported by independent journalist Benjamin Ryan. A district court dismissed the suit, and the 4th Circuit affirmed the ruling on appeal.

SJP “brazenly … supported” Hamas in the wake of its October attack, says Wall Street Journal writer Elliot Kaufman, and has continued its activism with so-called “day of resistance” protests. The group openly backs a “Student Intifada” and says it “will politicize Palestinian, Arab, and Muslim students and develop their consciousness and the willingness to act.”

Takeaway

The ultimate answer to terrorism.

Too many uninformed American kids are being misled into becoming Muslim. Accepting the teachings of  Islam.

The following is the testimony of Mohamad Faridi:

Growing up as a devout Muslim in a religious family, I was taught to fear Allah, obey the Qur'an, and strive to earn paradise through good deeds. But no matter how hard I tried, I never felt close to God or sensed His approval. After years of devotion, Islam left me broken, depressed, and nihilistic.

Salvation, purpose, and the afterlife are the most important questions in life: How can I be made right with God? Let’s look honestly at how Islam and Christianity answer this question, using both the Qur’an and the Bible.

SALVATION IN ISLAM: EARN IT THROUGH DEEDS.

Islam teaches that salvation is earned by doing more good than bad, obeying Allah’s commands, and hoping for His mercy on Judgment Day. There is no assurance — only striving.

“Then those whose balance [of good deeds] is heavy – they will be successful. But those whose balance is light – those are the ones who have lost their souls, being in Hell, abiding eternally.” (Qur’an 23:102–103)

“Whoever does an atom’s weight of good will see it, and whoever does an atom’s weight of evil will see it.”(Qur’an 99:7–8)

Even Muhammad, the self-appointed prophet of Islam, was unsure of his own salvation. When asked, he replied:

“I do not know what will be done with me or with you.” (Qur’an 46:9)

As a Muslim, I constantly feared death and hell. I prayed, fasted, and read the Qur’an, but I was never certain if I had done enough. I knew I constantly fell short. Islam taught me that Allah guides whom He wills and misguides whom He wills — and I could only hope I wasn’t among the misguided.

SALVATION IN CHRISTIANITY: RECEIVE IT BY GRACE.

When I encountered Christianity, I found a completely different message — one of unconditional love, grace, and certainty. Salvation wasn’t about what I could do for God, but what God had done for me through Jesus Christ.

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.” (Ephesians 2:8–9)

“God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”(Romans 5:8)

“Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.”(John 5:24)

Jesus, who lived a sinless life, died on the cross to take the punishment for our sins. He rose from the dead to give us eternal life. In Christianity, salvation is not earned — it is received by faith.

“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”(Romans 10:13)

Unlike Islam, the Bible gives assurance of salvation:

“I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.”(1 John 5:13)

THE CORE DIFFERENCE: WORKS VS. GRACE.

The difference is not small or surface-level — it’s everything.

Islam says: Do more good, obey more laws, and maybe — just maybe — Allah will throw something at you, peasant.

Christianity says: You can’t earn it. Accept the gift of Jesus’ sacrifice, and you shall be saved and adopted as a child of God.

Islam offers religion. Christianity offers relationship.

MY HUMBLE OPINION

The dead religion of Islam couldn’t change me — or anyone. It wasn’t an argument that transformed my heart — it was the living Christ. At my lowest point, Jesus revealed Himself to me. I felt a peace and love I had never known in all my years of trying to measure up. I realized: I don’t need to be perfect. Jesus already was.

When I humbled myself and put my faith in Christ, I finally found the assurance I had been searching for my entire life.

TO MY DEAR MUSLIM READER

I know the fear. I know the striving. But I also know the freedom and joy of finding the truth. Jesus is not just a prophet — He is the Living Savior.

“Jesus said, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’”

(John 14:6)

If you are truly seeking truth, ask God with a sincere heart: “Reveal Yourself to me.”

He did for me — and I believe He will for you too.
