NBC: "Pentagon Holding 'Phony' Ceremonies For MIAs"

Our culture is in chaos, morally and politically, because we have discarded the Truth for a new "evolving truth" that among other things, asserts that "the end justifies the means."

Washington State election results are available here from the Secretary of State's office.

A lie or misrepresentation is not wrong, in fact, it is considered "truth" if it helps people. This is the so-called reality in the world of relativism.

No absolutes.

The continuing revelation of the IRS targeting people and organizations because of their conservative and/or Christian beliefs gave many a reason to push back---way back.

The revelation of just how intrusive our own government's NSA program is into our own personal lives---without cause, was alarming to many of us.

All of this is creating a lack of trust in our government and those whom we've elected to lead it.

Now, NBC has discovered that the Pentagon has been holding "phony" formal ceremonies for MIAs whose remains are not even in the casket and have been staging phony photo ops showing the caskets being taken from a US Air Force plane that NBC discovers can't even fly.

Why would our government carry out such a deception?

NBC says, "A unit of the U.S. Department of Defense has been holding so-called 'arrival ceremonies' for seven years, with an honor guard carrying flag-draped coffins off of a cargo plane as though they held the remains of missing American service men and women returning that day from old battlefields.

After NBC News raised questions about the arrival ceremonies, the Pentagon acknowledged that no honored dead were in fact arriving, and that the planes used in the ceremonies often couldn't even fly but were towed into position.

Here's what actually happened, according to eyewitness accounts and photographs taken behind the scenes at one of the ceremonies:

Before 6 a.m., the members of the honor guard assembled at the loading dock behind the JPAC headquarters on the base. They loaded the transfer cases, which had been stacked outside the door to the lab, and the buses drove to the hangar.

The C-17 had been towed into position outside hangar 35. The honor guard loaded the transfer cases into the belly of the plane, then practiced walking them through the empty hangar. Then the honor guard returned to the plane, and waited.

At nearly 9 a.m., the public was allowed in: invited politicians, media, families of the missing and veterans. Employees from JPAC were bused over to fill out the crowd.

Then the show began, with tears and salutes as the remains were marched to the buses, then driven off to the lab to "begin the identification process."

Jesse Baker, an Air Force veteran of World War II and Korea, lives in Honolulu. He says he has been to more than 50 of these ceremonies.

He told NBC that he's always been under the impression that the plane had just arrived carrying the remains.

"I've been fooled," he said and, "I'm very upset." He said a lot of other guys he knows are going to be upset as well.

NBC says Baker tried to make sense of why the American Department of Defense would work so hard to trick him and other veterans.

He said, "That's very disturbing. I don't know when they stopped being honest and switched over to this Mickey Mouse, but whoever did it, I hope they find him a new job somewhere."

The Pentagon has explained that it is a misunderstanding---"a misinterpretation"--- their "words" were "misunderstood." And yes, those planes were towed from maintenance and could not have flown into the base.

Many family members have shared their experiences while attending what they believed was the actual return of their loved one's remains.

During their investigation, NBC asked the Pentagon if they could attend a ceremony. The Pentagon said yes, but then canceled the scheduled ceremony. They have done so repeatedly since last summer, not holding a single ceremony since this story was investigated.

An internal investigation has reported that this agency charged with recovering and returning the remains of those who served our country is "Acutely Dysfunctional." Congress is planning to look into it further.

NBC has more detail in their story.

Many are asking what Jesse Baker is asking: "When did we stop being honest and switch over to this Mickey Mouse stuff?"

The Pentagon has explained that the charade "was a tool" to help people.

I suspect it was a tool to help people much like Obamacare is a tool to help people. And in both cases, misleading the public is not wrong, because it is helping them.

Relativism and so-called secular progressivism has real consequences when it's practiced in real life. This is one example.

When did we stop being honest? When we began to abandon biblical principles and traditional values, like telling the truth. But we''ve gone beyond simply not telling the truth. We have redefined "truth" so that whatever I believe, is truth.

We have substituted our own desires and agenda for truth. If I believe it or want it, whatever I do to get it is justified---the end justifies the means.

Secular Progressive Relativism is at war with God. And this battle of rebellion is being fought in our culture. It is a battle of narcissism against Godly wisdom, eternal Truth and God Himself.

Charles Carroll, a signer of the Declaration of Independence said, "Without morals a republic cannot subsist any length of time; they therefore who are decrying the Christian religion, whose morality is so sublime and pure and which insures to the good eternal happiness, are undermining the solid foundation of morals, the best security for the duration of free governments."

There is no such thing as an inconsequential lie.
