Planned Parenthood Claims "Faith Leaders" Support Their Agenda

Following President Trump's executive order on "Promoting Free Speech and Religious Liberty" earlier this month, Planned Parenthood issued a press release which highlighted PP's "Clergy Advocacy Board" noting that the members of that board are "dedicated clergy and faith leaders" and are "leading a national effort to increase public awareness of the theological and moral basis for advocating reproductive health."

This is a snapshot of how deception works.

Soon after President Trump issued his executive order on "Promoting Free Speech and Religious Liberty," which includes potential "conscience protections" for those with religious objections to certain health care mandates, Planned Parenthood issued a press release of their own.

In it they noted that "dedicated clergy and faith leaders from different denominations and communities throughout the US" not only support the PP agenda---including their priority "health care" item (abortion), but are leading an effort to increase public awareness of the theological and moral basis for advocating so-called reproductive health---even providing a biblical basis for abortion.

They expressed fear that Trump's order will lead to "employers, schools, and other entities refusing to cover women's preventative health services, including birth control in their insurance plans on the basis of religious or moral objection."

The irony of citing religious freedom as a reason to prevent employers from choosing the type of insurance coverage they want to offer to employees seems to be lost on this Clergy Advisory Board.

This country has a long and vital tradition of religious freedom that protects personal beliefs without allowing the imposition of harms on others. Yet, this executive order signals that the administration wants to give employers the right to disregard their employees’ own personal beliefs and invade their privacy. It is unacceptable to point to “religious liberty” as an excuse to limit women’s access to health care.

Their clergy advisers seem to have no problem citing morality and even theology as a reason to compel employers to disregard their own personal beliefs and invade the beliefs of business owners with the beliefs of Planned Parenthood and their Clergy Advocacy Board.

This is the clergy message on Planned Parenthood's web site to women seeking spiritual and biblical counsel on the matter of abortion:

Clergy Advocacy Board Statement
Pastoral Letter to Patients

Dear Friend:

The decision to have an abortion is personal. Though your reasons may be complicated and private, you’re not alone. As religious leaders from a number of religious traditions, we’re here to support you in your decision.

Many people wrongly assume that all religious leaders disapprove of abortion. The truth is that
abortion is not even mentioned in the Scriptures — Jewish or Christian — and there are clergy
and people of faith from all denominations who support women making this complex decision.

The beliefs of each person are deserving of respect, and each person deserves care and
compassion, No one should be allowed to force their faith teachings on anyone else.

We believe this decision is yours, made with your doctor and anyone else you choose to bring
into the conversation, such as a spouse, partner, parent, or clergyperson.

Our religious traditions have somewhat different opinions about abortion, but we share some
basic understandings:

 No one knows the circumstances of your life as well as you know them;
no one knows what’s in your heart better than you. Allow yourself to be at
peace with your decision.

 God loves you and is with you no matter what you decide. You can find
strength, understanding, and comfort in that love.

If you’d like to speak with a clergyperson, your local Planned Parenthood health center can refer
you to someone who will be supportive of you and your decision. Your privacy will be protected
and all conversations will be completely confidential.

Our hope for you is for peace in your heart.

The religious (Christian) Left is deceiving an uninformed Christian church today.

Last fall, Dr. Alveda King (MLK's niece) and 690 other Christian leaders released a letter calling on so-called "progressive" or the Religious Left, to "repent" for the damage these "leaders" are doing to the cause of Christ.

The authors of the letter explicitly named those "ministries and organizations" that are driving the kinds of messages seen above in Planned Parenthood's "Pastoral Letter To Patients."

Many are and have been funded by billionaire, anti-American, anti-Christian, globalist George Soros.

The authors of the letter quote MLK: "In contrast to ethical relativism, Christianity sets forth a system of absolute moral values. We need to recapture the gospel glow of the early Christians who were non-conformists....Their powerful gospel put an end to such barbaric evils as infanticide...Finally, they captured the Roman Empire for Jesus Christ."

I'll be talking more about this on the radio today. Join me live at 9 AM PDT from anywhere in the world. Here's how.

Be Informed. Be Vigilant. Be Discerning. Be Prayerful. Be Bold.

  1. Abortion has nothing to do with "reproductive health". Everything PP does is in one way or another used to promote abortions, which is their real work. Who ever got heathier as a result of an abortion? Is child bearing a disease now?

  2. Seems to me that there was also a "dedicated clergy, a religious leader" (if that's what apostle's are) among the Lord's own denomination (that is, if John and his disciples, and the Lord and his disciples were the first two denominations) and that he too recognized a personal and complicated decision...and he later went and hanged himself.

  3. Gee, I support reproductive health so maybe I stand with PP. Except that I oppose abortion.

  4. If only those folks on the Clergy Advocacy Board could see just a few of the millions of women who drown in guilt after their abortion--even non-Christian women, who were NOT expecting to experience that. Drug and alcohol abuse sky-rockets amongst these ladies and many never crawl out of the hole their abortion put them into. The rest try to stifle their nagging consciences by becoming advocates, marching in parades and wearing t-shirts that say they are proud of their abortion. God has written His laws on our hearts and no amount of machinations can undo that.

  5. First off, pregnancy is not an accident, unless in the case of rape

All other times it is the result of a choice, to think anyone needs to pay for it other than the couple who made the decision is irresponsible behavior and shows they are potentially unfit parents.

Planned Parenthood thinks innocent babies should be punished for having irresponsible parents

When the parents need to be the one held responsible. They can choose to be responsible or have the right to reproduce removed from them, and lose the right to effect the lives of others by having a say in how we govern.

And the reason abortion is not mentioned in the Bible is because when you remove the causes for irresponsible pregnancies you remove the need for abortions

  6. Almighty God has told us that he is the same yesterday, today and forever. He changes not and if we know God we know He never extends one virtue at thee expense of another. God is love and gives us free will to make our own choices. But He has also given us His boundaries which we can not change. In Proverbs 6:16-19 we are given a list of those thing which Almighty God, King of the Universe Hates without exception; one of them is He hates hands that shed innocent blood. He doesn't say let's talk about it or maybe I can be persuaded to see things differently in these modern times..He hates those hands...period. Those clergy who sow discord among the brethren are themselves in the list of those six. God have mercy on them. The rest of us should look for the answers to difficult social and moral issues in the Word of God rather than from those who would spread the spirit of anti-Christ in the body of Christ.

  7. Deception rules in our current culture.

Any person who can convince themselves that intentionally killing an unborn child is permissible in God's eyes, for any reason, is a person who is blind to God's will and to God’s truth. The indwelling Holy Spirit cannot be silent in the heart of a believer who seeks to or justifies this crime. Blindness, darkness, and denial are required in order to not hear His Voice. One cannot do so and then claim to represent God's word.

    ABORTION IS IN THE BIBLE…
It is specifically prohibited by God in the Old Testament ... ( THOU SHALT NOT COMMIT MURDER ) ...and it is prohibited by Christ in the New Testament...”Love your neighbor as you love yourself”, or “Do unto others as you would have done unto yourself’. Abortion is the quintessential opposite of love for self, for others, or for a child God intends to live but you intend to kill.

To say a child in the womb is not a child is the ultimate deception.

To suggest to a woman or man that abortion is somehow acceptable in God's eyes is the ultimate self-deception.

    Truth is a lonely warrior!
