North Korea Prisoners Set Free

Yesterday at 5:30 AM EDT, President Trump tweeted, "I'm pleased to inform you that Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is in the air and on his way back from North Korea with the 3 wonderful gentlemen that everyone is looking so forward to meeting. They seem in good health. Also, good meeting with Kim Jong Un. Date and place set."

President Trump also tweeted...

"Secretary Pompeo and his 'guests' will be landing at Andrews Air Force Base at 2:00 AM in the morning. I will be there to greet them. Very exciting!"

It is exciting. It's also very informative.

Yesterday citizen Barack Obama was decrying the president's decision to withdraw from his Iran deal saying it will push America and our allies toward a war in the Middle East---criticizing the president for not using "diplomacy" like he did when he was president.

Obama called the decision "so misguided," and "turning our back on America's closest allies" by removing the United States from the Iran nuclear deal.

In a lengthy post on social media, Obama reacted to his successor's decision to all but nullify what his own administration had worked to achieve with Tehran.

Obama claims Trump is not doing the right things.

In that context, Obama said that his deal with Iran "remains a model for what diplomacy can accomplish, including when it comes to North Korea."

While Trump's kind of diplomacy may not be what Obama considers "doing the right things," it appears to be working. Much better than that practiced by Obama and Hillary Clinton, then John Kerry.

A retired U.S. Army general, who served as an original member of the elite Delta Force, praised President Donald Trump for "leadership" on the world stage in removing the United States from the Iran nuclear deal.

Gen. William "Jerry" Boykin said that the move was a "sterling example of international leadership."

Boykin, an executive vice president at the Family Research Council, said the departure from the nuclear deal is of similar global importance to Trump's decision to move the American embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

After the Jerusalem decision, "everybody came back with a very negative reaction," Boykin said, adding that soon after, other countries began considering a similar move.

Modern day politicians seem to have difficulty with people who actually do things rather than "dialog."

Who are the gentleman Pompeo brought home?

All three were sentenced within the last couple of years, while Obama's diplomacy was in place.

Kim Dong Chul, a South Korean-born citizen and former Virginia resident, was sentenced in April 2016 to 10 years in prison with hard labor after being convicted of espionage. He reportedly ran a trade and hotel service company in Rason, a special economic zone on North Korea's border with Russia.

Tony Kim was detained at Pyongyang's airport in April 2017 for "hostile acts" against the regime. He taught accounting at the Pyongyang University of Science and Technology.

Kim Hak Song is an ethnic Korean born in China, was detained in May 2017 for "hostile acts." He worked in agricultural development at an experimental farm run by the Pyongyang University of Science and Technology which was founded in 2010 with donations from Christian groups.

I'm sure we'll learn more about these men throughout the day, today.

While the Left wails about the negative consequences that will surely come from Trump's decisions---and remain silent about his growing successes, some on both political sides seem surprised at the effectiveness of this administration and wonder why.

Regular Prayer in the White House

In an interview with CBN's David Brody, Vice President Pence, a deeply committed biblical Christian, said prayer is common in the White House nowadays. He says it happens "all the time, not just on the National Day of Prayer."

Pence said, "There's prayer going on, on a regular basis in this White House. And it's one of the most meaningful things to me, whether it's public meetings or not. I've lost count of the number of times that the president has nudged me, or nudged another member of the Cabinet and said, 'Let's start this meeting with prayer'."

Many of President Trump's Cabinet members are biblical Christians---Mike Pence, Mike Pompeo, Betsy DeVos, Ben Carson and others.

Vice President Pence continues in the interview to explain how prayer and being fully aware of biblical principles guide the decisions that are being made---including moving the US embassy to Jerusalem.

He said, "President Trump and I believe that in doing that, peace in the region becomes more possible."

He notes that the "peace" of Jerusalem and Israel was of great significance in the decisions they have made.

This interview took place before the decision to withdraw from the Iran deal was announced.

However, it's clear that prayer is a key element in this White House.

Consider this.

It is written, "Whoever blesses Israel will be blessed, and whoever curses Israel will be cursed."

Perhaps the joyful release of these 3 prisoners from North Korea is also symbolic of a national release from the bondage of secular progressive thinking in the White House.

And maybe Obama is confused about what leadership looks like.

Peter Drucker once said, "Management is doing things right; leadership is doing right things."

Be Prayerful. Be Informed. Be Vigilant. Be Discerning. Be Blessed.
