Schumer's Charade: The Last Act

It could be called Feinstein's finale.

When confirmation hearings began on the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court, Democrat Senator and Senate minority leader, Chuck Schumer, promised the legions of the Left, "I will do everything in my power to defeat this nominee"---the nominee's qualifications, apparently, were not even a consideration.

Schumer and his cast of schemers have read their scripts, and left it all on the stage floor---but there was no standing ovation.

Then, in the final act, on the eve of the committee vote, Brett Kavanaugh is accused of sexual misconduct, and the accusation has been referred to the FBI for a federal investigation.

Gotcha?

Not really.

After countless hours of hearings and interrogation of the nominee---thousands of questions and cross-examination, one-on-one meetings with senators in both parties, the conclusion was the Left could find no excuse to crucify him other than the fact that they don't like him and hate what he stands for.

Through all this, the conservatives once again knew the president had made the right decision in nominating Kavanaugh.

Minutes before the vote, Senator Feinstein published a press release that said this:

Sep 13 2018
Washington—Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) released the following statement:
“I have received information from an individual concerning the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court. That individual strongly requested confidentiality, declined to come forward or press the matter further, and I have honored that decision. I have, however, referred the matter to federal investigative authorities.”

In the final act of "Schumer's Charade," we learn that Feinstein and the public servants of the Left had been holding the "poison letter" since early summer.

What's the accusation?

Well, we weren't sure at first. Then we begin to learn that it has to do with 53-year-old Kavanaugh being accused of alleged sexual misconduct when he was in high school.

The Guardian reports that the episode involves high school student Kavanaugh and a friend who allegedly locked this girl in a room---she later escaped. They were teenagers---Kavanaugh was 17.

Nevertheless, the Left-wing media; ABC, NBC and others, ran with headlines like: "Sexual allegation against Kavanaugh referred to FBI by top Democrat."

NBC News' top journalists reported,
"Two sources told NBC News the allegation was sexual in nature, but both said the letter writer was not specific in describing Kavanaugh’s alleged behavior. One source told NBC News the conduct described could allege sexual assault, but said it could also be a lesser allegation — and added the individual making the allegation would have to be more specific with law enforcement officials for any investigation to be able to move forward."

Think Progress, the far Left, widely read news organization, published this as the opening words in their story,
"Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh may have committed a very serious crime---possibly even a sex crime. Or maybe he didn't."

The New York Times, of course, jumped in with this:
"Two officials familiar with the matter say the incident involved possible sexual misconduct between Judge Kavanaugh and a woman when they were both in high school. They spoke anonymously because they were not authorized to discuss the matter."

The New Yorker explains that Feinstein decided not to include other members of her Party, but as you read on, you discover that a few select actors did know about the "letter" and knew Feinstein was sitting on it until the last act.

Democrats and progressives everywhere are demanding the confirmation vote be suspended until all this is sorted out.

How long will it take the FBI to investigate Kavanaugh?

The short answer is, "About 5 minutes."

They are not going to investigate the allegations.

Last Thursday afternoon, Senator Feinstein noted in her press release that she had received a letter from a woman claiming 17-year-old Kavanaugh had made unwanted advances toward her and played a prank by locking her in a room, etc., but the woman "strongly requested confidentiality, declined to come forward or press the matter further."

There is another storyline out there says the anonymous woman says that teenage Kavanaugh held her down during an encounter at a party and covered her mouth. However, she was able to free herself. She reportedly says this incident, although it happened decades ago, has been a source of ongoing distress for her and that she sought psychological treatment as well.

Feinstein gave the letter to the FBI, and the FBI acknowledged they received the letter and issued a generic statement: "Upon the receipt of the information on the night of September 12, we included it as part of Judge Kavanaugh's background file, as per the standard process."

Kavanaugh categorically denies that any part of the story is true.

The last act of the charade.

The sad conclusion goes something like this according to writer John Nolte who carefully watched the Charade:

Feinstein releases a vague statement about a vague incident she refers---strictly for dramatic purposes---to the FBI. Then the Democratic leakers run to their confederates in the so-called "elite media" to whisper about "sexual misconduct" and "Me Too" and the smear machines at NBC and the New York Times give the Democrats exactly what they want.

Meanwhile, a decent man is tarred for life.

And over what?

But that's not the point.

The goal was manipulating a willing media into publishing "sexual misconduct" headlines, which of course they did.

As credits for the stage play roll and the curtain drops, surely Karl Marx and Saul Alinsky should be credited for creating the script.

Update.

Late yesterday, the woman making the accusation has come forward.

Christine Blasey Ford, a professor at Palo Alto University in California, has told the Washington Post she feared "that Kavanaugh may kill her."

This is a developing part of this story. I'll be talking more about it on our live radio program this morning at 9 AM PT. You can join me from anywhere in the world. Here's how.
