Memo to Mitch: "Build the Wall Now"

President Trump promised voters he would, among other things, build a wall along our southern border to help ensure we have a legal, controlled, compassionate immigration system.

The voters believed him.

Trump has and is keeping his promises.

Senate Leader Mitch McConnell said a couple of months ago the fight for funding the wall would have to wait until after the mid-term election.

The last mid-term election was yesterday in Mississippi.

Mitch. "Now is the time."

Here's why.

Be informed.

Appearing on Fox News, Rodney Scott, chief of the San Diego Border Patrol sector, said, "Our immigration systems has some holes in it."

He says foreigners from Central America literally tore a hole in a scrap metal border wall near San Diego in their attempt to cross illegally into the United States. The US Border Patrol, he explained, repelled the incursion with tear gas, arresting dozens of people, including rock and bottle throwers in the process.

He said, "We've identified the those (holes) for Congress. And long term, I'm hoping that Congress steps up to the plate and fixes those to shut off the draw."

Millions of Americans are also hoping Congress will step up and do the right thing.

Scott said the wall is the right thing. He explained:
"But in the meantime, I'd like to point out that not a single migrant climbed over the new border wall. We have about 8 miles of border wall completed here in San Diego---unfortunately, that's not complete. So the military came over in the last several weeks to help us fortify different areas...but it's those weak areas where we have not upgraded the infrastructure that the migrants were able to breach."

At his rally in Mississippi Monday evening, President Trump noted that while "bid sections" of his envisioned wall is going up---"we want to finish the wall."

The president said, "We've got to get funding from Congress, and if this isn't the right time to get funding---when you look at what's happening at the border---there'll never be a right time."

Most Democrats and too many Republicans in Congress, unfortunately, hope..."there'll never be a right time."

Once again, Congress does not reflect the will of the people.

Yesterday, Rasmussen reported that polls and surveys show 51% of all US voters believe the caravans of migrants are a threat.

After living with the caravans for the past month or so, Mexican citizens have experienced the threats first hand, and are very unfavorable. In fact, a poll taken by Mexico's largest newspaper shows 7 in 10 Mexicans are unfavorable

NBC released the survey Monday in English. In fact a number of Mexicans would favor building a wall on "their" southern border.

Even Hillary Clinton is now advocating for stricter border control. Honest.

Her advocacy is not to protect Americans, but Europeans.

Monday, Hillary was all over Twitter, decrying the "use of tear gas against migrants," linking her comments to an article which contained the picture of a mother pulling her little children away from the tear gas plumes---which we now know was staged by news people taking photos and writing stories.

"This is wrong," she tweeted. This, of course, was before the border patrol explained that they only targeted those young adult males who were throwing rocks---big rocks--- and bottles at the Border Patrol people.

Her outrage toward the president and the border patrol came only a few days after she had been urging Europe to get control of their borders.

She told the European newspaper, The Guardian,
"I think Europe needs to get a handle on migration because that is what lit the flame [of right wing populism] I admire the very generous and compassionate approaches that were taken particularly by leaders like Angela Merkel, but I think it is fair to say Europe has done its part, and must send a very clear message---'we are not going to be able to continue providing refuge and support'--- because if we don't deal with the migration issue it will continue to roil the body politic."

Now that Merkel and other European leaders have given away the sovereignty of their countries, Hillary is suggesting they have "done their part."

Pathetically ironic from a globalist advocate.

Mike Huckabee made the point that the press and progressives are using pictures to of women and children fleeing from tear gas to bolster their narrative that border patrol agents are heartless stormtroopers.

He asked,
"Why are those children in that dangerous situation? Why would their parents encourage them to deliberately provoke armed border agents by tearing down a wall and aggressively invade another country in broad day light? What would they have the officers do, just stand there and let their skulls be fractured with rocks while doing nothing? And of course was this intended to provoke exactly this reaction, so they can use photos of kids being tear gassed as propaganda to influence people who get all their information from Facebook memes?"

Yes, Mike. They are.

I would encourage each of my readers to send a memo to Mitch. A phone memo.

Call his office at 202-224-2541. Respectfully ask, or leave a message asking Senator McConnell to keep his promise. The mid-term election is over. Now it's time for him to keep his promise. Get the funding to build the wall.

Be Informed. Be Discerning. Be Vigilant. Be Proactive. Be Prayerful.
