VP Pence: "Easy Christianity is Gone"

Vice President Mike Pence delivered the commencement address at Liberty University in Virginia last Saturday.

Every biblical Christian should hear his words to the class of 2019.

Be informed.

Most know that our Vice President and his wife are deeply committed evangelical Christians, who stand for their faith. Both have been mocked publicly for their faith.

Pence's speech would not have been given only a few decades ago, but now, it is a must--- because it's a clarion call for what lies ahead.

The bottom line is this: The days of easy Christianity in America are over.

Gary Bauer wrote this about the speech:

People of faith have shaped this country since its founding. But sometime in the last century, things slowly began to change. That change accelerated during the Obama presidency, as the government tried to force Christian groups to be complicit in things that our faith teaches we cannot be part of, including the destruction of innocent unborn life.
Thankfully, the current administration is reversing many of those policies.
But there’s a more pernicious trend that’s unrelated to the government. Until recently, being known as a good Christian was an advantage in your career, a signal that you were someone deserving of trust and respect.
Pence warned the young Christian graduates at Liberty University that their faith may cost them their job if they take their Christianity seriously on issues such as the sanctity of life and the meaning of marriage. He told them to be prepared to be mocked, reminding them that even his wife, Karen, was excoriated for merely teaching art history at a Christian school.

I encourage every Christian in America to watch this speech. It's 29 minutes, but every Christian should set aside the time and watch it. And do so with your children and grandchildren.

I believe it's a word from the Lord.

This is an excerpt:

Some of the loudest voices for tolerance today have little tolerance for traditional Christian beliefs. So as you go about your daily life, just be ready. Because you’re going to be asked not just to tolerate things that violate your faith; you’re going to be asked to endorse them. You’re going to be asked to bow down to the idols of the popular culture…
So, Class of 2019, my word to all of you is decide here and now that you’re going to stand firm … that you’ll persevere, and that you’ll always be prepared to give a reason for the hope that you have, and you’ll do so with gentleness and respect. Because our nation and our world need that message of grace and love maybe more now than ever before.

Most conservative news sources, such as One America News Network, reported honestly what the Vice President said, while the far Left news referenced elements of the speech, but searched for related stories that undermine the impact and credibility of what the Vice President was saying.

Example:

Newsweek has focused on the fact that Pence will be speaking at Taylor University, also a Christian University, next weekend (May 18), "but students at Taylor University are attempting to get his invitation rescinded."

USA Today reports that "A petition led by Change.org has gathered more than 150 signatures from students calling for Taylor University to dis-invite Vice President Pence."

This was consistent in most news organizations.

Pence's message transcends the graduating class of 2019.

It is a clarion call to biblical Christians everywhere.

It's a call to stand firm and not run from our faith in a culture where some despise it. We must stand firm and defend what God has taught us and called us to do---be a light in the darkness.

Be Informed. Be Bold. Be Vigilant. Be Faithful. Be Prayerful.

  1. In Truth...

The maniacal hatred the Progressive Left has embraced toward all things Christian, all things Conservative, and all things unwilling to "bow down" to political correctness is clearly a "spiritual" phenomenon. To look at these people and what they say and do is to witness insanity on many levels. Confidently proclaiming and acting out insanity and bold lies and deceptions is the sign of a person who has embraced evil; most especially when they spend their best efforts to accuse all who disagree with them as being the "malicious haters" they are.

God's word clearly tells us what we must do in this situation...

These people are lost. They regularly exhibit an inability to understand rational truth and logic. They hunger for all forms of lies and deception that reinforce their evil pursuits. They do not seek to educate, to explain, or to debate those with whom they disagree. The seek to "destroy"!

    Eph 6:10-13

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. NKJV

Those who embrace evil also deny the existence of evil. They are lost souls. We can pray for them,...as we pray against the evil entities who are influencing and controlling them.

Rational arguments are repeatedly proven useless in this struggle.

    Truth is a lonely warrior...

  2. LOL
150 students out of approximately 2500 want Pence to be did invited.
Like our society at large, it is the smallest number of people wanting the most as they give nothing.
    Whatever happened to majority rules?
Oh, I know... lawyers and suing.
