Bernie Sanders: "What Was Radical a Few Years Ago is now Mainstream"

In a celebratory tone Bernie Sanders told his virtual Democrat Convention that his now-suspended campaign had "moved this country in a bold direction" and "many of the ideas we fought for, that just a few years ago were considered 'radical', are now mainstream."

Sanders may be the only virtual Democrat/Independent who touched the truth in this infomercial that is selling nothing but hate for Trump, a.k.a. "The Unconventional Democrat Convention."

And he inadvertently gave a call to action to all biblical Christians and conservatives.

Be informed, not misled.

Bernie's right. He and his movement have moved this country in a bold new direction---and yes, what was considered off the page radical has become mainstream---for some. We'll find out how many in November.

Not enough people moved further left with Bernie to get him nominated for president, but almost enough.

Representing his "millions of supporters," Bernie recently met with Biden to forge a "unity agreement" designed to get Biden elected.

The two announced a "joint task force" involving members of their respective staffs, agreeing to focus on six policy issues---immigration reform, climate change, healthcare, criminal justice, education, and the economy.

This effort was designed to ensure that Biden embraces issues of importance to Bernie's millions of far-left radical socialists.

Bernie touched the truth when he said, "But let me be clear, if Donald Trump is re-elected, all the progress we have made will be in jeopardy."

That's true.

And to understand how Bernie has moved the culture so far-left, you have to meet the godfather of the modern-day so-called movement.

How radicalism works. Meet Saul Alinsky.

Left-wing activists are smashing windows, burning buildings, destroying cities, businesses, and neighborhoods, blocking traffic and hurting, even killing people in the name of compassion, equality, and justice.

2020 could be mistaken for 1969, except it's worse.

The modern roots of disorder go back to a style made famous half a century ago by left-wing activists who were schooled by Saul Alinsky's Rules For Radicals.

Hillary Rodham (Clinton) gave the first student speech at her commencement in 1969 at Wellesley College. She had just finished her senior thesis about Saul Alinsky, with whom Hillary had become friends, and who would later try to hire her to work on his staff.

Two years later Alinsky would release his most enduring work: "Rules for Radicals: A Political Primer for Realistic Radicals."

Before Hillary gave her speech, Sen. Edward Brooke, a moderate Massachusetts Republican and first African-American elected to the Senate, delivered his speech which was closely aligned with MLK's thinking of non-violent protests---saying coercive protest is wrong...and unnecessary.

At the lecture, Hillary went off the script of her written speech and began, "We're not interested in social reconstruction. It's human reconstruction." She told Brooke and her audience that for too long powerful men have misrepresented politics as "the art of the possible" advocating a more aggressive Alinsky approach.

The Left loved it--- the press became acquainted with Hillary Rodham. Feature stories followed. Time Magazine and others were publishing her picture and quoting her words.

Rules For Radicals became a bible of sorts for the radical left and gave authenticity to the rioting we see in our streets today, because Alinsky spoke only of the poor and lower middle class---the "have nots"---taking from the "haves."

In Alinsky's Marxist paradigm, wealth and power are neither earned nor created. They must be taken, because he held a zero-sum view of economics and power.

Alinsky's coursework is now commonplace in many disciplines at colleges and universities. Obama taught it in a Harvard class in conjunction with his class on the Constitution.

Heather Mac Donald with the Manhattan Institute says "most students know little of Alinsky, but his views commingle with similar left-wing doctrines in a pervasive academic culture of grievance and resistance."

The reason is that, in 2009, the National Education Association recommended that all teachers read Alinsky's books---especially Rules for Radicals, calling Alinsky "an inspiration to anyone contemplating action in their community. And to every organizer."

You will recall that candidate Barack Obama introduced himself to America as a "community organizer."

Academics don't even hide their use of Alinsky's work anymore. It's widely used and praised by leftist politicians and educators.

Alinsky advocates taking what you want---violently or otherwise.

The Frankfurt School, Antonio Gramsci, and others were the fathers of modern-day cultural Marxism, but Saul Alinsky was and remains the prophet who adapted it to more modern culture.

Alinsky's 13 rules include tactics to increase insecurity, anxiety and uncertainty in opponents. Rule 13 advocates, "Pick the target, freeze it, personalize and polarize it."

There's much more, but this gives you a lens or awareness through which to view Bernie, Michelle and all the troops marching across your screen---including Biden himself, this week.

Now, back to Bernie and Biden's 6 action items.

  • Immigration reform will mean essentially no borders, because America should be fundamentally remade.
  • Climate change will be the largest forced transfer of wealth from the "haves to the have-nots" in modern history. Experimentation with new energy "science" will result in trillions of dollars from the government being invested in friendly start-up firms while trillions of dollars will be lost through bankruptcies of the start-up companies---as happened during the first Obama era--- this while shutting down our current energy industry.
  • Healthcare will be government-run, socialized medical care---a rerun of Obamacare on steroids. There will be "death panels" and long waiting lines, and no, you won't get to keep your doctor.
  • Criminal justice already includes de-funding the police, replacing them with social workers and counselors. Our cities will continue with spiking crime rates, while the riots continue and strengthen in nature with young adults not even knowing why they are doing what they do---they're just angry. And they have a right to do this. And to loot. And hurt people who disagree---including cops.
  • Public education is already under the control of the far radical left.
  • The economy will move rapidly toward socialism. Bernie will see to it that happens and President Joe will have no motivation--or capability--to resist.

Not addressed as important on the action list was abortion-- the sanctity of life, because it isn't to the progressive.

Also missing from the "to do" list is religious freedom.

Abortion will be expanded in every way possible---and if possible, paid for by taxpayers.

Religious freedom will be relegated to "freedom of worship," meaning go ahead and sing your songs and give your sermons in your church building, but don't even think of bringing your religion into the marketplace or trying to proselytize anyone into your religion---because if you do, we will punish you because it will traumatize those of other faiths or no faith.

Bernie's right in his assessment: "Let us be clear, if Donald Trump is reelected, all the progress we have made will be in jeopardy."

Pray for our country. Pray for our President.

Be Informed. Be Discerning. Be Vigilant. Be Prayerful.
