Media Censorship Changed Election Outcome

A new survey published over the weekend shows that "one of every six Biden voters"---17%--- would not have voted for him had they known the facts about any one of eight news stories the news media censored.

Stories we all know about now that Election Day has passed.

Thomas Jefferson's words regarding ignorance and freedom remain hauntingly true.

Be informed, not misled.

In a lengthy letter to Charles Yancey, dated January 6, 1816, Thomas Jefferson wrote "if a nation expects to be ignorant & free, in a state of civilisation, it expects what never was & and never will be..."

The mainstream media repeatedly denies Jefferson ever uttered those words. But he did.

In the context of his time, he was making the assumption that the news media told the truth, and by reading their news stories one would not be ignorant---thus encouraging Mr. Yancey, an educator, to keep up the good work of educating America's youth.

Much has changed since 1816, but the truth of Jefferson's statement has not changed.

The media has lost all credibility by either outright lying to the American public, or by omission---not telling the public what they know to be true, because the media's far-left bias is more important to them than the truth.

Censorship.

The Bible calls it lying---by omission.

This weekend Media Research Center published a new survey that proves the media used censorship to mislead voters. And now at least 17% of  Biden voters regret voting for him and would not have done so, had they been properly informed.

"If only I had known."

The survey was taken in 7 swing states---Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin--6 of which were called for Biden. North Carolina went for Trump.

MRC's polling company asked Biden voters about 8 news stories that were censored by the mainstream news media: "Had you known then what you know now about these 8 stories would you have voted for Biden?"

One out of every 6 Biden voters said "they would have abandoned the Democrat candidate had they known the facts about one or more of these news stories."

It was discovered that 82% of Biden voters were unaware of at least one of these key news stories, with 5% saying they were unaware of all eight of the issues tested in the survey.

The effect of censorship.

MRC reports:

"A shift of this magnitude would have changed the outcome of all six of the swing states won by Joe Biden, and Donald Trump would have comfortably won a second term as president.

This is the list of issues and how the Biden voters would have responded had they been informed.

As you can see, the most impacting stories were the matter of Tara Read's sexual assault allegations and secondly the Hunter Biden money scandal.

MRC says:

"If they had known about Tara Read's sexual assault allegations, 8.9% told us they would have changed their vote---either switching to Trump, or a third party candidate, not voting for any presidential candidate, or not voting at all."

"By itself, this would have flipped all six of the swing states won by Biden, giving President Trump a win with 311 electoral college votes," MRC says.

Another important story censored, buried by the media, was the Hunter Biden laptop story which showed that Joe Biden was aware of his son's business dealings in Ukraine and in Communist China.

MRC found that 45.1% of Biden voters said they were unaware of the laptop story.

This is how knowing about the laptop story would have impacted the election.

Similar results were found when Biden voters were asked about the other 6 censored stories---Kamala Harris's radical left-wing policies; positive economic and job reports; Middle East peace deals brokered by Trump administration; energy independence; and swift vaccine production as a result of Trump's Operation Warp Speed.

MRC President Brent Bozell says:

"Looking at all eight of these issues together, our poll found that a total of 17% of Biden's voters told us they would have changed their vote had they been aware of one or more of these important stories."

And he says, "This would have moved every one of the sawing states into Trump's column, some by a huge margin. The President would have trounced Biden in the electoral colleges, 311 to 227."

Bozell also notes that had all these misled people, who would have voted differently had they been properly informed by the "news" media, simply not voted for Biden or Trump, Trump would have still won the election.

Takeaway

"The most basic principle of our electoral system is that our leaders are chosen by the people," Bozell says. "But if the people are given systemically one-sided information, with critical facts omitted, then the real power to choose has been stolen from them...and that's exactly what happened in 2020."

This story impacts me personally.

It is for these very reasons, attached to the censorship of any public expression of Judeo-Christian values in our culture, that along with the Lord's nudging, has led me to write this column every weekday, and come to the microphone for our live radio program every weekday.

These are difficult and challenging times. I want to thank all of you who support our efforts to speak the truth about the issues---all from a biblical perspective, with your tax-deductible contributions.

Be Informed. Be Vigilant. Be Discerning. Be Prayerful.
