A Broken President--Unable to Deliver Us From Evil

Over the weekend political pundits---people who earn their living talking about other people's political career---made the case that last week's suicide bombing against US troops in Afghanistan was "the worst day of Biden's presidency."

Does it occur to any of the "experts" that last week was not a particularly good week for us ordinary Americans either?

And what about the 13 military families who received the heartbreaking call from the US military officials?

It was the worst day for American forces since August 5, 2011, when the Taliban shot down a Chinook helicopter carrying 31 US service members, the majority of whom were Navy SEALS.

At the time, Joe Biden was vice president.

We now have a broken leader unable to lead politically or cognitively ---sometimes unable to answer a rare honest question at a press conference, even resorting to a near fetal position in his own agony and inability.

Be informed, not misled.

A broken president.

Katie Pavlich writes:

"In early July, Biden stood in front of the country and the world to proclaim it was 'unlikely' the Taliban would take over Afghanistan once the United States left the country. Three weeks before his self imposed August 31, 2021 exit date---which is tomorrow-- the Taliban owned the country, took over the capital city, and was doing 'security ' for US Marines at the airport. As a result, a suicide bomber was sent to the front of the line, detonated a vest and killed 10 of them, in addition to two Army soldiers and a Navy corpsman."

The Taliban, whose leadership our president has submitted to, show no fear in taking over the entire country. Thanks to Biden's weakness, the results have been catastrophic, stranding thousands of Americans in Afghanistan to await their destiny in the hands of barbarians.

No one seems to know how many Afghans who worked for and with the United States are in the country, or will be left behind to the same destiny of death.

Even the Left in America is admitting that the presidency is broken. It isn't functioning properly.

Top US officials are being forced to admit privately and state publicly that the Taliban is in control and the only thing stopping them from killing more people, including our own troops, is their desire to get the US completely out of the country.

Consequences.

The primary responsibility of our federal government is national security. Keeping American citizens safe from evil people seeking to destroy us.

The same State Department team in charge of the Afghanistan withdrawal is in charge of reentering the horrible Iran nuclear agreement. It's no coincidence Hamas, an Iranian-backed and funded terrorist/proxy organization in the Gaza Strip, launched a vicious rocket attack on Israel, our closest ally in the Middle East in May. It was a test of consequences. There were none.

How will Iran, Russia, North Korea, and China move to exploit this obvious display or weakness in our most powerful office?

A group of medieval terrorists is now armed with more weaponry than most countries.

Perilous times.

Pavlich reminds that:

"When Russian hackers took down a major oil pipeline earlier this year with a cyber attack, Biden rewarded President Vladimir Putin with the completion of Nord Stream 2 and control of Europe's energy. China, which is also ramping up it's nuclear arsenal, has yet to be punished for unleashing the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic on the world. Biden continues to rely on so-clled 'inconclusive' assessments about whether the disease was engineered in a lab. The evidence combined with the outrageous yet typical behavior from the Chinese Communist Party, shows it most certainly was."

The withdrawal from Afghanistan is by all accounts a catastrophe---a miserable failure to deliver us from evil.

If this magnitude of failure can happen during a withdrawal from a third-world country, what faces us in the challenge of national security against powerful regimes and Islamic terrorism?

Pavlich says, "Weakness is prey, and the wolves are on the prowl. Based on his performance, just 7 months in, the president isn't up to the task."

Re-evaluating our beliefs, then taking action.

Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-NJ) gave an exclusive interview to Breitbart News last Thursday. In it, he blasted the Biden administration for the chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan. He lamented the decline  of America and deemed the president either "that cognitively impaired" and/or "purposefully harming the country."

Van Drew goes to great length to criticize Biden's method of requiring the US to rely on a terrorist organization that has perpetrated unbelievable [and] unconditional amounts of evil upon the world and upon their own country in Afghanistan which is the Taliban.

He criticized the abandonment of our sophisticated weaponry in the country. He is calling for the president and other leaders in the Democrat Party to resign. And he's calling for President Biden to undergo cognitive tests.

He describes our times as dark and difficult times. Times when evil prevails.---warning Americans not to become complacent.

Promising "we'll get through this" he notes because "there is no country like this country."

He says we must remember who we are and what we represent---we cannot forget.

He's a Republican, the cynic would say, what would you expect?

Yes, he is a Republican--- but only recently did he leave his Democrat Party to become a Republican.

Van Drew defected from his Democrat Party in 2019 due to its direction, then he described his personal experience in standing up to his party:

He was told by the Democrat Party he would go "through hell" as a result of that decision, but he says, "I felt I just couldn't do it anymore."

He told his then-chief of staff regarding the Democrat Party, "I do not believe in what they are doing. I do not believe in the way we're changing our education system, the way we don't have a supply chain, the way we're dropping our position and energy"...saying, "I want American greatness."

He says, "I'm proud of what I did. From what we know from history, I'm the only person to ever go to the minority party. People have flipped their political designation, but they've never gone from the majority party to the minority party."

"I am still much happier because I believe in what I'm saying and what I'm doing," he added.

His message to conservatives:

"Keep the faith"..."I believe that this nation is so great, that through the hurt that we're experiencing and through the tears of those parents who are getting those messages about those Marines and the Navy medic---and God knows who else---that those tears are literally going to baptize all of us into believing and understanding again how great America is."

The former Democrat says people keep calling for all of us to "move to the middle," but that is no longer possible because there is no longer a "middle." He says "what's the middle now, is the Left, and what's the Left now is socialist and Marxist. There is no middle."

He says, "I hope that God gives us the strength  to rise to the occasion because this is bigger than Republican, Democrat, or whatever."

Indeed it is, but the chaos in America is not bigger than God. Or the strength He gives to those who are faithful in their "well-doing."

No president can "deliver us from evil," ultimately God does that.

But He has given us the opportunity in America to "choose our leaders"  And it is He who delivers us from evil.

Not only our Founding Fathers, but for generations following, American leaders invoked God's wisdom and His leadership in our deliberations.

Francis Scott Key, the lawyer who wrote the lyrics to our National Anthem said,

"The patriot who feels himself in the service of God, who acknowledges Him in all his ways, has the promise of Almighty direction, and will find His Word in his greatest darkness, a lantern to his feet and a lamp unto his paths. He will therefore seek to establish for his country in the eyes of the world, such a character as shall make her not unworthy of the name of a Christian nation."

Do not grow weary in well-doing.
