US A/G Garland "Personally Approved" Opening Warrant On Trump Raid

The Justice Department moved Thursday to unseal the search warrant used by federal agents to seize documents from former President Donald Trump's home in Florida, with Attorney General Merrick Garland revealing he "personally approved" the extraordinary step to seek the warrant.

A/G Garland said the reason he decided to ask the court to make the warrant public was made "in light of the former president's public confirmation of the search, the surrounding circumstances, and the substantial interest in this matter."

Be informed, not misled.

Personal note: This article was sent to the publisher last night to be published at 5:05 AM this morning. This is a developing story. Several additional things will have occurred overnight. I will be talking about additional information on our daily radio program that originates live at 9 AM PT on ACN Christian Radio Network. You can also hear the program on various other radio stations at various times throughout the day.

And a program podcast is posted to our  Faith and Freedom website each day, about midday.

Why is A/G  Merrick Garland so willing to be transparent? All of a sudden.

CBS News reported this late yesterday afternoon:

In brief remarks from the Justice Department as the government filed its request in federal court, Garland defended the move to have dozens of federal agents descend on Trump's home at Mar-a-Lago, saying he "does not take such decisions lightly." He noted, however, that he was bound by federal law, department rules, and ethical obligations from providing more information about the basis of the search. CBS News has reported the search was related to an investigation into documents Trump took with him when he left the White House.

It's interesting the sudden fidelity to "law and ethical obligations" has been resurrected for such a time as this, when the Biden administration has defined itself by lawlessness, from ignoring Antifa as our cities burned and basically shuttered.

It's also odd that this administration would suddenly become the moral voice of the culture while turning its head to Hillary's lawlessness as Secretary of State in operating her own server from her private home, doing our nation's business. Then when Congress finally demands her emails be turned over---all 33,000 of them--- she deletes them, then scrubs them with acid to be sure they can never be read.

Is Merrick Garland aware that President Biden has a son named Hunter, who is making millions of dollars for himself, his family, and most likely his father by selling influence?

CBS continues:

"Faithful adherence to the role of law is the bedrock principle of the Justice Department and our democracy. Upholding the rule of law means applying the law evenly without fear or favor," he said. "Under my watch, that is precisely what the Justice Department is doing. All Americans are entitled to the even-handed application of the law, to due process of the law, and to the presumption of innocence."

Applying the law "evenly without fear or favor" is a great-sounding statement, but it certainly doesn't represent anything close to what we are seeing in our country today.

Nobody believes that anymore. Our once trusted institutions are collapsing. Even Victor Davis Hanson said this week that he believes the "IRS is beyond redemption."

Garland sees it differently. He lectured the American people yesterday saying, "I will not stand by silently when their integrity is unfairly attacked."

Has he forgotten that FBI Director Christopher Wray just stonewalled every question Congress asked him, then flew away on a private jet, at taxpayer expense, to meet up with his family on vacation? He, you will remember, took over from Andrew McCabe who lied four times to federal investigators, and his wife was running for public office with Clinton-related PAC money while he was investigating Hillary Clinton's e-mail scandal.

McCabe took over from James Comey who leaked confidential memos written on FBI devices to the media, and then when he was called before Congress, on 245 occasions, he said he didn't know or didn't remember.

The deep state has control of the country and they hate Donald Trump. If you doubt that, look into which politicians government employees usually financially support. More than 90% support Democrats and the far left.

Many of them also hate evangelical Christians. If you doubt that remember IRS's Lois Lerner, who was finally forced to take early retirement because of the way she abused the Tea Party groups that were applying for non-profit status.

Garland said yesterday, "The decision by the Justice Department to ask the court to make the warrant public was made "in light of the former president's public confirmation of the search, the surrounding circumstances, and the substantial interest in this matter."

Why are they now so forthcoming and transparent?

It seems to me that the State feels it has its "ducks in a row" so Garland, Liz Cheney, and the rest of his cast are ready for the next act.

The Republicans have been calling for transparency, asking Garland and others involved in the Trump inquisition to be transparent.

They have apparently decided it is to their benefit to turn on a little light and act like they're honest.

They either do in fact have something substantial on Trump based on the documents he was allegedly holding or as some are suggesting--- did they plant materials in the boxes of documents they took from Trump's house ensuring their desired outcome of wrongdoing on the part of Trump?

This week Victor Davis Hanson, America's foremost conservative historian, author of 22 books, and retired Professor of Classics at Fresno State University, said, "And right now we don't have the rule of law in Washington, whether or not you're targeted or exempt depends on your ideology."

Hanson said, "I never thought I would say this: The FBI is beyond redemption, It is---all of its bureaus and its institutions have to be farmed out and broken up."

He said, "If you have a warrant, an FBI warrant, there is no guarantee that that has not been altered. If you subpoena and you want FBI records on phones...they will wipe them clean."

Many Americans agree with him, including me. They've given us ample reason to doubt them.

What does President Biden think about all this?

Well, he didn't know about it, his people say. He learned about it like all the rest of us---on the news.

Yes. Of course.

The president, his wife "Dr." Jill, Hunter, his wife, and a child are currently on a week-long vacation at Kiawah Island, which is off the coast of South Carolina.

Anonymous White House aides claimed to reporters before Garland’s remarks that the White House had no prior notice of his decision to address the raid.

Pray for America.
