President Obama's new $3.9 trillion budget funds a lot of things, but I was shocked to see on page 930, $575,000,000 for "family planning/reproductive health" especially in "areas where population growth threatens bio diversity or endangered species."
Acts making appropriations for the Department of State, foreign operations, and related programs.
GLOBAL HEALTH ACTIVITIES
SEC. [7058]7037
[(a)] IN GENERAL.—Funds appropriated by titles III and IV of this
Act that are made available for [bilateral assistance for child survival
activities or disease]global health programs including activities relating
to research on, and the prevention, treatment and control of, HIV/AIDS
may be made available notwithstanding any other provision of law except
for provisions under the heading "Global Health Programs'' and
the United States Leadership Against HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, and
Malaria Act of 2003 (117 Stat. 711; 22 U.S.C. 7601 et seq.), as
amended[: Provided, That of the funds appropriated under title III of
this Act, not less than $575,000,000 should be made available for family
planning/reproductive health, including in areas where population
growth threatens bio diversity or endangered species].
This approach to extreme environmentalism is known as Population Health and Environment (PHE). PHE integrates population control into environmental initiatives.
That is eugenics. A philosophy and practice deeply embraced and advanced by Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger, is finding new life ---and funding from this generation of secular progressives. And the funding is coming from taxpayer dollars.
Debbie Wasserman-Shultz, US Rep. and Chair of the Democratic Party and Rep. Sheila Jackson-Lee, who last week told Congress that our Constitution is 400 years old, have both been pushing for the US to come into compliance with the United Nations and meet UN "Millennium Development Goals" by using birth control and/or abortion as a means of "ensuring environmental sustainability."
With no real effort to fake subtlety, the Obama budget will likely fund sacrificing human life on the altar of extreme Environmentalism.
We have read of this in biblical history and other sources of cultures who sacrificed their young, both born and unborn---such as Baal worship and others, but in our modern world one would normally associate this kind of activity with Dark Ages barbarism.
Here is an example.
Sally Jewell, President Obama's Interior Secretary, visited Alaska where 19 people had died due to the difficulty of evacuating them during medical emergencies because there is no adequate road in their area.
Over 1000 people live in King Cove Alaska. It has a clinic, but no hospital or doctor. Residents must fly 600 miles to Anchorage for medical emergencies or even the birth of babies.
A number of people have lost their lives because of these circumstances. Often due to weather conditions, they cannot get to the all-weather airport in Cold Bay.
The community asked the Obama administration to build a 22-mile gravel, one lane road that would link them to the all-weather airport in Cold Bay to facilitate medical flights to Anchorage.
Sally Jewell came to King Cove to hear their request. After meeting with the people in King Cove she told the community, "I've listened to your stories, now I have to listen to the animals."
She left the area, then announced the administration would not build the one lane gravel road because it would "disturb certain wildlife." Specifically some ducks.
Daniel Greenfield has written an excellent article on this issue. He believes the far left environmentalists are so extreme they do not restrain their efforts only to the unborn.
He says, "Like the Communists, the post human activists were adept at disguising their agenda in the concerns of the moment, shifting from national security, feminism, the coming Ice age, mass starvation, and now Global Warming" a.k.a. Climate Change.
He believes the extremists even try to "shoehorn the war of terror into their agenda, tying every terrorist conflict zone to global warming."
The Environmentalist Population Reduction agenda was initially cloaked in claims about worldwide famine. Paul Erlich wrote a book, "The Population Bomb," predicting mass starvation here in America by the 1970's due to over population and the end of England by 2000.
I read the book and remember shortly after, I was flying from Los Angeles to Dallas to attend a music conference. It was a clear day and looking down I saw mile after mile after mile after mile of unpopulated areas and thought this guy was nuts. Others evidently agreed with my sentiments and his book faded.
But the fervor of the activists has not faded. Today Global Warming/Climate Change activists continue to set empty dates for the demise of mankind---dates that we discover they themselves often don't believe.
Al Gore has been rather quiet during our long cold winter, but other voices have continued to predict that the record cold temps prove the planet is over heating with destruction close behind.
They seek to maintain a state of perpetual crises so that governments and corporations will be persuaded to fund and facilitate the extreme environmental agenda.
Although my focus is on our own country, it is a worldwide agenda.
The UK Spectator published an article revealing that Elliot Morley, the UK Labour's Chairman of Energy and Climate Change Select Committee, had directed that the flooding of the Somerset region should be allowed because "wild life will benefit from increased water levels."
Baroness Young, an influential environmental activist who had become the chief executive of the UK's Environmental Agency, took the steps to increase the possibility of flooding the region. She said the formula was "for instant wild life, just add water."
This act came at loss of life and significant property loss.
Officials in Australia have also been found to be creating conditions that led to wild fires which in turn advanced their extreme agenda.
In 2009, the Wall Street Journal wrote an indepth article on "California's Man-Made Drought". I strongly recommend you read it.
The tactics they reported then have only increased in 2014.
How far will these extremists go in advancing this agenda?
Daniel Greenfield says, "The left is not only becoming post-American or post-Western, but post-human, applying the same tactics that they used to target majorities in Western countries to the human race as a whole. Class war and race war are giving way to species warfare. And since the ducks cannot talk, ultimate power rests with the duck whisperers, those who speak for the animals, the fish and the trees."
He believes "The post-human left takes social justice to its natural conclusion, going beyond all the human categories to level mankind with the polar bear, the duck and the microbe. Total equality for the post-human left is not the equality of the rich and the poor, of men and women, of blacks and whites, or even of the First World and the Third World, but the equality of man and microbe, of a pregnant woman in a small Alaskan fishing village with a duck and a hungry California child with the Kangaroo rat."
He concludes, "The post-Human left seeks to put the species in its place. That is the final endgame of the environmentalist movement. It isn’t out to save mankind; it’s out to destroy it."
These activists have a willing accomplice in the White House.
Any president who would allocate $575,000,000 of our money to these kinds of causes is "all in."
While this movement has many faces, it is certain that the sanctity of human life is not a dominate value.
It is also clear that our President is putting the hard earned taxpayer money of good and decent people on the table to be used for "family planning/reproductive control" [abortion-eugenics] where "population growth threatens bio diversity or endangered species."
Romans 1 describes the desperate level to which mankind can fall when they rebel against God.
Among other things they exchange the truth about God for a lie. And they worship and serve created things rather than the Creator.
God help us.
