Corruption: Saudis Blackmail America Over 9/11

It has been said, "Government is a band of hypnotists that hate people who open their eyes during the session."

Since 9/11, a 28-page document has been sealed in a vault in the basement of the US Capital.

Many feel in shows how deep Saudi Arabia was involved in the 9/11 attacks on America.

Congress is considering a bill that will allow 9/11 victims and their families to sue the Saudis for their support of the attack.

The Saudis say if Congress passes the bill, they will sell off $750 billion they hold in US assets, which will be a major blow to our economy.

Obama is lobbying hard against the bill ahead of his visit to Saudi Arabia day after tomorrow.

People "are" opening their eyes, and we may be very near to seeing just how deep runs the corruption and cover up.

And yes, I'm aware this involves both Democrat and Republican leaders.

Outraged 9/11 families accused Saudi Arabian officials Saturday of blackmailing the US to hide their alleged role as financiers of the World Trade Center terrorists.

Their statements came after a Saturday report that the Saudis threatened to sell off up to $750 billion in US assets if Congress passes legislation allowing its government to be held liable in 9/11 related lawsuits.

Jim Riches, retired FDNY deputy chief whose firefighter son Jimmy died in the Trade Center attacks, said, "I'm furious. This is a slap in the face to the 9/11 families."

It is a slap in the face. None of us will forget the images of the World Trade Center Towers burning and ultimately collapsing. I personally recall watching on television the first Tower burning, while an airplane appeared in the live picture flying directly into the second Trade Center Tower.

Regarding Obama's intense lobbying to derail the legislation, Riches says, "How in his right conscience can he do this?"

The easy answer is that he is not in a "right" conscience---and yes, it is a slap in the face to those who lost loved ones at 9/11---it's also a slap in the face to all of us who love this country.

Terry Strada, whose husband Thomas was a Cantor Fitzgerald bond broker on the 104th floor, says, "Why do they cave to the Saudi Arabian government instead of protecting the American people. They're just trying to keep the Saudi's dirty little secret."

How deep does the corruption and cover up run? And who is involved?

Is this merely statesmanship intended to avoid a major disruption in the volatile Middle East? Or is it more?

One thing is certain. Americans are "opening their eyes during the hypnotic session."

The New York Post says at the heart of the matter is the still censored "28 pages" that do, in fact, according to those who know what the 28 pages contain, implicate the Saudis.

CBS's "60 Minutes" program reported last weekend that the Saudi role has been "soft-pedaled" to protect America's delicate alliance with the oil-rich kingdom.

The New York Post says, "That's quite an understatement."

They are reporting that the cover-up goes well beyond the 28 pages in the vault---investigations were throttled. Co-conspirators were let off the hook.

Case agents who were investigating the attack at the time, and the Joint Terrorist Task Forces in Washington DC and San Diego, the forward operating base for some of the Saudi hijackers, say virtually every road led back to the Saudi Embassy in Washington DC.

The Fairfax County (VA) Police Department who also investigated some of the 9/11 leads is saying the same thing.

They all say time after time they were called off from pursuing leads. They say the common reason for calling them off the investigation was "diplomatic immunity."

One of the key Saudi figures in all this is then Saudi Ambassador Prince Bandar.

Those who were investigating say there were a flurry of phone calls between one of the hijackers and the Saudi Embassy (Bandar) including the transfer of $130,000 from a Bandar family account to another one of the hijackers.

An investigator who was working with the JTTF in DC has told the New York Post that instead of investigating Bandar, the State Department assigned a security detail to help guard Bandar not only at the Embassy, but also at his McLean, VA mansion.

Mark Rossini, a former FBI agent, says they were kept from interviewing the Saudis, including some Bin Ladin family members because the government was flying them out of the US. He says the bureau was told no subpoenas could be served to produce evidence tying departing Saudi suspects to 9/11.

This is a brief overview of what's behind the enormous push back against Obama's supercharged efforts to kill the new legislation and the growing demand among citizens to know what the sealed "28 pages" contain.

Why has this become such an issue now?

A bill has been introduced that would allow the Saudi government to be held responsible for aiding and abetting the jihadists who carried out the terror attack in 2001.

A number of 9/11 victim's families have hired lawyers and are preparing to move forward with litigation.

Representative Walter Jones, a North Carolina Republican, has introduced a bill that would require Obama to release the 28-pages.

A Saudi reformer, Ali al-Ahmed, with direct knowledge of the Embassy involvement says, "We made an ally of a regime that helped sponsor the attacks---I mean lets face it."

The current question is, "Will we face it?"

That will play out over the next few days and weeks. Obama is in Saudi Arabia this Wednesday. It's pretty certain he will bow and apologize. as only he can do.

The legislation will proceed. We'll see what happens.

Not long after our founding, Thomas Jefferson noted that "Our country is now taking so steady a course as to show by what road it will pass to destruction, to wit: by consolidation of power first, and then corruption, its necessary consequence."

Later Andrew Jackson said, "I weep for the liberty of my country when I see at this early day of its successful experiment that corruption has been imputed to many members of the House of Representatives, and the rights of the people have been bartered for promises of office."

The importance of being vigilant cannot be overstated, nor can the importance of being informed.

That is what we try to do, to the best of our ability, each day in this article and live on the radio.

We've quoted him before, but must again remember the inspired insight of Isaiah: "Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter."

Be informed. Be Vigilant. Be Discerning. Be Proactive. Be Prayerful. Be Free.
