Daughter Barbara Bush Raises More Than $400,000 For PP At One Lunch
The daughter of former President George W Bush told about 1,000 people this week at the annual Planned Parenthood fundraiser in Fort Worth, "I'm proud to stand with Planned Parenthood"..."because it's a really good investment."
The abortion organization reported that the $400,000 was a record amount for the event.
How does her father, a strong pro-life advocate while president, feel about her deep commitment to the abortion industry?
And her mother?
Franklin Graham, never timid about such things, told America exactly what he thought about it.
Planned Parenthood closed the luncheon to the press---however, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram newspaper got the text of Bush's remarks. Imagine that.
While this is an annual event for the abortion group, an urgency was attached at this year's gathering to raise as much money as possible before the Trump administration cuts off taxpayer funding of Planned Parenthood.
Several former local politicians were present, as well as the current president of Texas Wesleyan University.
That would not make John Wesley proud.
Barbara Bush's participation didn't make Franklin Graham proud either. Graham, who was a strong supporter of her father during his presidency, said her raising money for Planned Parenthood is like "raising money to fund a Nazi death camp."
Franklin said, "Planned Parenthood is the #1 abortion provider in the United States. Raising funds for this organization is like raising money to fund a Nazi death camp---like Auschwitz, except for innocent babies in their mother's wombs!"
He expressed that he is amazed that so many Americans---including Barbara Bush---could support a group that has been repeatedly exposed for its immoral conduct both inside and outside the operation room.
He says, "This is the organization whose employees were caught on video trying to sell baby body parts over wine---disgusting."
B. Bush noted during her speech that she had agreed to speak at the event last October. She said, "I was under the assumption things would go differently," she said, referring to the 2016 presidential election.
I thought the cards were going to fall a different way," she said, "And I could not be more happy that I said yes [to speaking at the PP luncheon] now."
The Bush family has a long, all-be-it, unfriendly history with Planned Parenthood.
It was her father who ousted the late Ann Richards from the Texas governor's mansion in 1994. Before that, Richards drew national attention for her 1988 Democratic National Convention keynote speech in which she said of George H.W. Bush, Barbara's grandfather, "Poor George. He can't help it. He was born with a silver foot in his mouth."
She often characterized George W. Bush as "a little bush," when a tree is needed.
Cecile Richards, president of Planned Parenthood, is the daughter of Ann Richards.
While a small group of protesters gathered outside, there is apparently no protest from the Bush family regarding her involvement with the abortion industry.
One News Now reports, "Bush told the New York Times in an interview last summer while she dined with Richards, 'The narrative was that I was breaking with my father. But I had talked to my dad about doing it, and he was very supportive."
"It" is not only support for abortion, but same-sex "marriage" as well.
The Times also quotes Bush, the daughter, "What surprised me were all the people who said, 'How brave! Betraying your family like that.' But my parents raised us to use our voices for issues we care about, and I feel strongly about marriage equality. The only brave thing was that I'm shy. That was the win: I used my voice."
It is well known that her mother, Laura Bush, has long been an advocate for both abortion and the homosexual agenda.
Back in 2010, Laura Bush told Larry King on CNN that "gay marriage and abortion were points of contention with her husband, former President George W. Bush."
Daughter Barbara says, "So many young people want to work on social change. They want to do good...It's hard to know how you fit in if you're not a doctor or nurse. If we can demystify that and create channels into Planned Parenthood...then we'll have an army of people..."
Demystify? Create channels into Planned Parenthood?
Planned Parenthood isn't mystic, it's evil.
And evil has a history of presenting itself as something other than what it is.
The Bible describes it as darkness presented as light, and light presented as darkness.
