Killing Blacks

People were outraged yesterday after ABC 7 in Chicago reported that "at least 40 people were shot in Chicago, 4 fatally, yesterday before noon."

Nearly all were black.

People are rightly outraged. The media is raging, anti-gun advocates are raging and ordinary middle America is stunned and broken-hearted.

Recently, researchers from the University of North Carolina announced that their research shows that "abortion is the leading cause of death in the United States and it accounts for a disturbing 61% of deaths of Afrikan Americans."

No outrage. Not even a whimper from those on the Left who so often claim the moral high ground.

Hypocrisy.

This weekend gave us a snapshot of selective outrage over violence.

Violence Using Guns.

The press, the politicians, and the people---especially the anti-gun advocates, are outraged following the ABC 7 TV news story yesterday that reported: "At least 40 people had been shot Sunday [yesterday] in Chicago, before noon."

The total number shot this weekend---from 5 PM Friday through noon Sunday--- was 59 with 10 fatalities.

The carnage was so bad that at Stroger Hospital it caused the emergency room to be placed on a "trauma lockdown."

Nearly all the victims were black.

Chicago Superintendent of schools Eddie Johnson told the press "the city needs more cooperation amongst authorities and communities to address violence."

Johnson joined the chorus of anti-gun activists in calling for fewer guns---even though Chicago has some of the strictest gun control laws in major cities. He said, "We just have too many guns on the streets."

Take away. Everyone should be outraged and heartbroken over this happening in an American city. However, this is becoming more and more a norm in too many cities. Chicago is consistently among the worst.

Chicago has demonstrated that stricter and stricter gun controls do not translate to safer and safer cities.

Chicago, however, is demonstrating how miserably far Left ideologies fail in our culture.

Back on July 13, 2018, it was reported that in gun-controlled Chicago, 10 were shot and wounded in a 24 hour period.

On May 3rd it was reported that nearly 40 people were shot over a 3 day period.

You will read about and hear about this tragedy in today's news. You will witness the outrage by reporters, analysts, and activists. The outrage will be directed at guns.

We should all be outraged, but it isn't about guns.

Violence Not Using Guns.

In a new survey from the University of North Carolina, we are being told that "induced abortion is the leading cause of death in the United States and accounts for a disturbing 61% of deaths of African Americans."

The report analyzed research and found that induced abortion was responsible for 1.152 million deaths, making it the number one cause of death in the U.S.---nearly twice the number of deaths from heart disease (599,413) and cancer (567,628).

While abortion accounted for nearly a third of all U.S. deaths, abortion made up 61.1% of African American deaths.

Tragedy. Outrage.

One black pastor, Rev. Clenard Childress, Jr., has been decried this violence and killing---calling it the "black genocide" taking place in the United States at the hands of the abortion industry. Others are beginning to join him.

Studies show that 52% of all African American pregnancies end in abortion and that whereas abortion is the most common operation performed on women, it is also "the least regulated medical procedure" and is often "completely ignored by health regulation enforcement."

Whatever the intent of abortion practitioners, abortion is a racist institution in the United States, with black children aborted at nearly 4 times the rate of white children.

Rev. Childress says, "Statistics reveal that nearly 1,800 unborn black babies are aborted every day, proportionately more than any other race."

The UNC researchers note that "abortion is often not reported as a cause of death in the vital statistics system in the United States, an omission stemming from ideology rather than science."

The scientists say, "The exclusion of a major cause of death, especially one with the large racial and ethnic disparities, should be a major concern to the scientific community and society as a whole."

Christianity has been calling out against abortion since her inception.

The Roman lawyer and Christian, Tertullian, wrote about the tools used for abortion and denounced the practice.

Old Testament prophets addressed the issue of abortion as a sin against God. Murder.

Abortion and child sacrifice was practiced and condemned by God from the earliest biblical records.

The earliest biblical reference to child sacrifice in the Bible is found in Lev. 18:21 and Lev. 20:1-5, where we read, "Do not give any of your children to be passed through (the fire ) to Molech, for you must not profane the name of your God. I am the Lord."

Unborn children are small and for the most part out of sight---they can't speak for themselves. We must speak for them.
