A former Trump aide says he knows who wrote the hostile, malicious, anonymous op-ed for the New York Times.
It's a "she."
And we'll all soon know who.
But will we understand why?
A closer look.
Be informed.
The New York Times says they published the anonymous anti-Trump op-ed after much thought and consideration. And because of the importance attached to the content of the op-ed.
The lengthy column begins with this:
President Trump is facing a test to his presidency unlike any faced by a modern American leader.
It’s not just that the special counsel looms large. Or that the country is bitterly divided over Mr. Trump’s leadership. Or even that his party might well lose the House to an opposition hellbent on his downfall.
The dilemma — which he does not fully grasp — is that many of the senior officials in his own administration are working diligently from within to frustrate parts of his agenda and his worst inclinations.
I would know. I am one of them.
Who did it?
Town Hall published an interview yesterday, with a former Trump aide who says he knows who did it and it's a she.
Former campaign aide and political strategist Michael Caputo says, "I know it's a woman. I'm being cautious. My attorney is keeping me from her name but yes, I believe it's a woman. I believe I know who it is."
He says she has a "strange personality," "it would be dangerous to fire her because of who she's related to," and he says "she is 'arrogant' and sees herself as 'Captain America'."
And he says "her identity will be found out."
Fox News' Tucker Carlson also says he knows who did it, but as of this morning, he is holding off publicly identifying the person.
White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said this:
“Nearly 62 million people voted for President Donald J. Trump in 2016, earning him 306 Electoral College votes – versus 232 for his opponent. None of them voted for a gutless, anonymous source to the failing New York Times,” Sanders said, adding, “We are disappointed, but not surprised that the paper chose to publish this pathetic, reckless, and selfish op-ed.”
Sanders continued, “This is a new low for the so-called “paper of record,” and it should issue an apology, just as it did after the election for its disastrous coverage of the Trump campaign. This is just another example of the liberal media’s concerted effort to discredit the President.”
The press secretary ended her statement calling for resignation saying “the individual behind this piece has chosen to deceive, rather than support, the duly elected President of the United States. He is not putting country first, but putting himself and his ego ahead of the will of the American people. This coward should do the right thing and resign.”
Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church in Dallas, Dr. Robert Jeffress, says he finds it worrisome there's someone that close to President Trump who is working against him.
He says, "I think this president has a lot of people around him who are disloyal to him. There's absolutely no doubt about it."
But he says the person described in the op-ed is "not the Trump" he knows.
And he says he has "no way to judge the motives or accuracy of the anonymous source."
By the time you read this Faith and Freedom Daily article, we all may know who did it. I'm certain the public will soon know.
Why did they do it?
Only God can judge the "heart"---the motives, but we can take a closer, clear look at the actions of the secular progressive Left---and those who so violently oppose this president.
Robert Knight is a Washington Times contributor and the author of, "A Strong Constitution: What Would America Look Like if We Followed the Constitution?"
Earlier this week, before the New York Times anonymous op-ed story became public, Knight wrote this in his column:
"Democrats are at war with normality of any kind and want to impose their cracked view of reality on the rest of us. Donald Trump's unexpected election has thrown a wrench into their game plan---hence the rage on the Left."
I strongly encourage you to read his entire column linked above. It only takes 3 minutes and sheds much light on this issue of the anonymous NYT op-ed---particularly the "Why."
Our nation is deeply divided by two very different worldviews, more than merely different political views. The "Leftist" beliefs are represented in both political parties.
Knight touches on the deeper motivation of why we do what we do as being related to what we believe in our hearts.
He writes about how the progressives are trying to reacquire power through importing millions of illegal immigrants, hooking them on government aid and turning them into voters---legally or illegally.
And he says this:
Millions of evangelical Christians and moderate-to-conservative Catholics voted for Mr. Trump because they saw him as their best bet against a hostile Deep State and its media allies. Portions of the IRS, the FBI and other federal agencies had been criminally politicized under President Obama, and Hillary Clinton would have finished the job.
With state power unchecked since the Reagan years, Uncle Sam has morphed into Nurse Ratched, presiding over a giant sanitarium. That's the issue ignored by the media: Democrats are at war with normalcy of any kind and want to impose their cracked view of reality on the rest of us.
Do you think the U.S. Constitution, moored in Judeo-Christian values, helped make America the freest, most prosperous nation in history? You're a bigot. Do you think men and women have biological, emotional and social differences naturally reflected in everyday life, and that marriage requires a man and a woman? You're crazy or a hater or both.
Government at all levels under the ruling elites has turned into a monster that forces people to lie to avoid unfounded charges of bigotry. Mr. Trump’s unexpected election has thrown a wrench into the grand plan, hence the rage on the Left.
This is spiritual warfare. If a government can force you to say two men are "married" and that Bruce Jenner is a woman, it can force you to say anything---And believe anything.
