Girl Scouts in Denial

We have watched the Boy Scouts stumble toward bankruptcy following their new "moral positions" and "updated identity."

We are now told the Girl Scouts USA have fallen prey to the same "progressive ways."

They have "lost their moral compass" and have become a "left-wing political activist organization."

I know, it's difficult to pass the innocent faces of little girls selling cookies in front of stores this month without buying a couple of boxes.

Be informed before you buy.

The Girl Scouts USA are using America's young girls as pawns to advance a very grown-up political agenda.

More and more adults are becoming aware that the organization---Girl Scouts USA---has "lost its moral compass."

As the organization approaches its 107th anniversary, it's striking to see how the values and emphasis has changed.

It's even more concerning to see how deceptive the organization has become. While in bed with Planned Parenthood and world organizations that promote and advance abortion, the LGBTQ agenda and other destructive behaviors, Girl Scouts denies their involvement.

At least BSA told the truth about their moral redirection.

Girl Scouts are either in denial. Or, are simply lying.

Girl Scouts claim no involvement with Planned Parenthood and other abortion groups.

Girl Scouts claims on its website that they do not "develop materials" or "take a position" on issues relating to birth control, sexuality and abortion. It further states that they "do not have a relationship with Planned Parenthood." (Unless the information has been changed within the past 24 hours.)

In spite of this, the organization has a very cozy relationship with both PP and the world abortion industry.

In fact, Kathy Cloninger, former Girl Scouts CEO told NBC that Girl Scouts "partner with many organizations. We have relationships with our church communities, with YMCA's and with Planned Parenthood organizations across the country, to bring information-based sex- ed programs to girls."

Girl Scouts recently gave their highest honor to a scout who organized a pro-abortion campaign.

Recently, Girl Scouts USA honored a recipient of the Gold Award---Girl Scouts' highest achievement---to an Arizona girl for her project in which she organized a pro-choice campaign promoting "reproductive health justice."

The young high school aged girl says she became interested in advocating for abortion after the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court. She recently worked with the Women's March to "educate people about and destigmatize access to women's healthcare."

That too is rooted in a myth. Abortion is not "women's health care"---it's killing unwanted children.

In a 2013 survey of 315 Girl Scout councils in the US only 17 admitted they had a relationship with PP, but 249 refused to report one way or the other---17 said they do not have a formal relationship with the abortion leader.

The Girl Scouts USA have also been involved with the Women Deliver Conference, an international organization involved in leading the worldwide charge for "safe and legal abortion."

The moral collapse extends beyond abortion.

Breitbart News says there's more.

This year, Girl Scouts launched a K-12 program called Girl's Access to Education "civic engagement toolkit," in partnership with Global Girls Alliance.

The Global Girl's Alliance is a program developed by the Obama Foundation to "empower adolescent girls around the world through education" according to Girl Scouts PR materials.

"To advance these goals, the Global Girls Alliance supports grassroots leaders, like Girl Scouts USA, who best understand the unique challenges girls face in their communities and the strategies needed to overcome them," they explain.

"Civic engagement" at the Girl Scouts also means participating at the "Teen Vogue" Summit, which features voter information and registration provided by the Left-wing group "Rock The Vote"---a far-Left group.

Last November Girl Scouts tweeted this:
"Girl Scouts is excited to be in sunny LA at the #TeenVogueSummit. We're all about tackling pressing issues that girls deal with on a daily basis and are joining forces to create a better world for future leaders."

The Teen Vogue Summit focused on "reproductive justice" and featured speakers such as former Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards and Sharim Hossain, the manager of Youth Organizing for Planned Parenthood.

To understand, as a parent or grandparent, just how far out Teen Vogue has gone, I am linking a news article from conservative Breitbart News on a tutorial Teen Vogue published for under age children. It isn't a topic I will discuss here---but you should be aware. How these children are being indoctrinated is not "sex-education."

It's child abuse.

Many faith-based groups and leaders have broken ties with the Girl Scouts organization because of its continuing, and deepening relationship with Planned Parenthood and dozens of other anti-Christian, anti-child, organizations, including Teen Vogue.

Planned Parenthood, the LGBTQ community, Teen Vogue, and others are predatory---not educational.

Their agenda is rooted in rebellion toward God, not love and care for your kids.

From the heart of a pastor, I encourage, in the strongest terms, that parents withdraw your children from Girl Scouts. And from Boy Scouts.

Neither have any remnant of a moral compass.

Many local churches and denominations have programs specifically designed for both boys and girls that can replace "Scouting"---some do not.

If not:

For boys, I recommend Trail Life USA. I have had contact with the organization and strongly recommend it.

For girls, I have been told that American Heritage Girls troops is a good alternative. I have not had personal contact with the organization, however, it is a Christ-centered program with both Protestant and Catholic churches endorsing it. Protestant churches hosting troops include Baptist, Christian Missionary Alliance, Four Square, Community Churches, and other local Bible-based churches. American Heritage Girls is strongly pro-life.
